I’m an Animal Care Attendant at the Hamilton/Burlington SPCA with years of professional experience working with dogs and cats. I’m well-versed in medicating, handling, and understanding animal behavior, and I’ve loved animals my entire life. I’ve studied dog behavior and training, and I treat every dog I meet as if they were my own. My goal is to make your pup feel comfortable, happy, and loved while you’re away. I’m reliable, responsible, and always excited to build relationships with new dogs. In my free time, I love training my own dog in off-leash reliability, obedience, and agility—it’s one of my favorite ways to connect and grow with animals. I’m also a marathoner and long distance runner and would love to run and tire out some super high energy dogs! I am also knowledgeable in canine first aid and basic grooming and bathing.

I have a dog of my own and enjoy daily hikes with him. He is a goofy, high energy golden retriever. I have experience with all types of walking aids such as head halters, harnesses, prong collars, e-collars, etc. I’m also able to give updates and photos during the walk! I can provide structured walks, enrichment walks or long-line fun. Let me know your preferences! I also provide in home pet care upon request so your pup is comfortable when you’re away!:)

I recently had the pleasure of boarding my beloved dog, Arlo, with Abbey, and I cannot express enough how delighted I am with the exceptional care and attention he received during his stay. From the moment we dropped him off until we picked him up, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. Abbey's warm and welcoming demeanor immediately put both Arlo and me at ease. She took the time to get to know Arlo's routine, preferences, and personality, ensuring that his stay would be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. It was evident that she truly cares about the well-being of the pets under her care. Throughout Arlo's stay, Abbey provided regular updates and photos, which reassured me that he was in good hands. It was heartwarming to see Arlo playing, relaxing, and clearly enjoying his time with Abbey. I could tell that he was happy and content, which allowed me to relax and enjoy my time away knowing that he was being so well looked after. Not only did Abbey attend to Arlo's basic needs with utmost care, but she also went above and beyond to ensure that he felt loved and comfortable. From daily walks to playtime and cuddles, Arlo received all the attention and affection he needed. It was clear that he formed a special bond with Abbey during his stay. When we picked Arlo up, he was happy, healthy, and looked like he had the time of his life. I am so grateful to Abbey for providing such a wonderful experience for Arlo and for giving me peace of mind while I was away. Abbey was great with Jackson: he can be challenging to walk, and she was good at navigating tips and tricks. Reliable and punctual. Good at communicating. Would hire her again!
