Pet care experience

Friendly and Experienced

Hi, I'm Aarya! I've walked dogs for [number] years and have a 5-year-old beagle of my own, so I know how much a good walk means to a dog and how much it matters to know they're in safe hands. On every walk, I: Keep your dog on a secure leash and stay alert to traffic, other dogs, and anything they shouldn't eat Walk at your dog's pace, whether that's a long sniffy stroll or a higher-energy run Send photo updates and a quick note on how the walk went Follow your instructions on routes, treats, and routines I'm calm and comfortable handling the unexpected, like a dog that pulls, gets spooked, or slips a collar. I'd be happy to do a free meet-and-greet so you and your dog can get to know me first. Message me anytime!

Schedule

I work a regular 8 to 5 schedule Monday through Friday, so I'm available for pet care on weekday evenings and all day on weekends. That works well for after-work walks and evening drop-in visits, and I'm flexible on weekends and holidays for longer visits or walks at any time of day. I'm happy to work around your pet's routine and send updates after every visit

Safety, trust & environment

For dog walks, I pick up your dog at your home and keep them on a secure leash the whole time. I stay alert to traffic, other dogs, and anything they shouldn't eat, and I walk at your dog's pace, whether that's a slow sniffy stroll or something more energetic. I follow your instructions on routes, treats, and routines, bring water if needed, and always clean up after your dog. Afterward, I send a photo and a quick note on how the walk went. For cat sitting, I visit your home to care for your cat in their own space, which is usually the least stressful option for cats. I feed them and refresh their water the way you like it, scoop the litter box, and spend time playing or cuddling depending on what your cat enjoys. I check that they seem healthy and comfortable, make sure doors and windows stay secure, and send a photo and update after each visit. For both services, I do a free meet-and-greet first so your pet can get comfortable with me. I'll follow your routines closely and contact you right away if anything seems off.

Pets

A typical day

For dogs, I like to turn walks into more than just a bathroom break. I let them sniff and explore at their own pace, since sniffing is great mental exercise, and I can add games like fetch or short training refreshers (sit, stay, recall) if the owner is okay with it and it's safe to do so. Some dogs love a longer, more adventurous route, while others prefer a relaxed stroll, so I match the walk to your dog's energy. For cats, I use interactive play like wand toys, feather teasers, and chasing games to get them moving, and I'll do gentle petting or lap time for cats who want it. I let shy cats set the pace, and I pay attention to what each cat enjoys, whether that's window watching, treat puzzles, or a good brushing. I'll always follow the owner's guidance on toys, treats, and play, and I'm happy to share what your pet enjoyed in my updates.

Cats
Aarya can host up to 2 pets per night
Before I care for a pet, I like to know their personality and routine so I can keep things consistent. For dogs, that means their leash behavior, how they react to other dogs, people, and noises, whether they pull or have any triggers, and their preferred walk length and pace. For cats, I'd like to know where they hide, how they react to strangers, their feeding schedule, and where their litter box and supplies are kept. For all pets, I'd like to know about any health issues, medications or special diets, allergies, and any past bites, escapes, or behavior concerns. I also need your vet's contact information, an emergency contact, and your instructions for emergencies. Finally, I'd like to know how your pet communicates, like what a nervous or happy signal looks like, so I can respond to what they need. A free meet-and-greet is the best way to cover all of this, and I'm happy to follow any notes or routines you share.
