I’ve owned dogs my whole life and have a lot of hands-on experience caring for them. Over the years, I’ve taken care of dogs for friends, family, and people I didn’t personally know through pet sitting. I’m comfortable with everyday care like feeding, walks, playtime, bathing, nail trimming, and giving medication when needed. I also have experience with mild dog training and working on basic manners and routines. I understand that every dog is different. Some need lots of exercise and attention, while others are happier relaxing and sticking to their normal routine. I do my best to follow each owner’s instructions and make sure their dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for while they’re away. Dogs have always been a big part of my life, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them and treating them like part of the family.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and trust are very important to me when caring for someone else’s pet. I always follow the owner’s instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, walking routines, and any specific rules for the home. I make sure doors, gates, leashes, and other areas are secure, and I keep a close eye on pets during walks, playtime, and visits. I also take the time to learn each pet’s personality, habits, and comfort level so I can help them feel safe and relaxed while their owner is away. I treat every home with respect and every pet like I would want someone to treat my own. I also believe communication is important, so I’m happy to provide updates and let owners know how their pet is doing while they’re in my care.

Schedule
Pet care fits easily into my routine, and I’m able to plan my schedule around the needs of the pets I’m caring for. I make sure I have enough time for feeding, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and plenty of attention. I understand how important it is for pets to stay on their normal routine, so I do my best to follow the schedule and instructions each owner provides. I’m also flexible when it comes to drop-ins, walks, and sitting, and I always make sure I have the time needed to give each pet proper care rather than rushing through a visit.

- Before caring for your pet, I like to know as much as possible about their normal routine, personality, and any special needs they may have. This includes their feeding schedule, medications, allergies, medical conditions, bathroom routine, favorite activities, and anything that may make them nervous or uncomfortable. For dogs, I also like to know how they behave on walks, around other dogs, strangers, children, or other animals, as well as whether they have any history of pulling, escaping, aggression, or other behaviors I should be aware of. For cats, it’s helpful to know their hiding spots, comfort level with new people, and whether they tend to try to get outside. I also want to know about any household rules, emergency contacts, veterinarian information, and anything else you feel is important. The more I know ahead of time, the better I can keep your pet safe, comfortable, and as close to their normal routine as possible while you’re away.
