Pet care experience
Zoo-Trained, Dog-Approved Care
I have over 13 years of professional animal care and training experience from my time at the Houston Zoo, where I worked hands-on with animals ranging from reptiles to large mammals, including elephants. This role required a high level of responsibility, attention to safety, and a deep understanding of animal behavior, handling, and daily care routines. In addition to my professional background, I have extensive experience raising and training dogs using positive reinforcement and consistency. I am confident working with dogs of all sizes, energy levels, and temperaments. I have completed formal training in low-stress handling and animal behavior, including the Fear Free Shelters Program (low-stress, fear-reducing care), Maddie’s University courses in Canine Communication and Safe Dog Handling, and ASPCA Animal Care & Welfare training. These certifications reinforce my commitment to safe, compassionate, and professional pet care during every walk and drop-in visit.

Safety, trust & environment
For drop-in visits and walks, I focus on calm, safe, and attentive care that follows each pet’s established routine. I take time to observe behavior and body language, use low-stress handling techniques, and adjust my approach to each pet’s personality and energy level. During walks, I prioritize safety, proper leash handling, and positive reinforcement while ensuring pets get appropriate exercise and enrichment. For drop-ins, I provide feeding as instructed, fresh water, potty breaks, light clean-up, and plenty of attention and reassurance. I always respect my client’s home, follow instructions closely, and communicate clearly with updates after each visit.
Ratings and reviews
Aaron did great with our large dog during her walks she seemed content afterwards. Great communicator and always sent pics Would recommend, this was my second booking with him.

Great first time experience with Aaron. He did an awesome job for our last minute request and took the time to meet my GG beforehand to make sure I was comfortable.

Aaron responded very quickly to my message and was very flexible, even though it was a short-notice request. He made time for a meet and greet before the first official walk, which we really appreciated, as it allowed him to understand our home and get to know Bimba and Lola. He was very professional and took notes on all the details we shared. Most importantly, the girls loved him right away. We are very happy we found Aaron and will definitely reach out again the next time we need someone to take care of them.

Aaron is a trust worthy person, meaning you can trust that he will take care of your dog like his own dog Darcy. He is conscientious and will communicate with you in the event of an emergency and make sure your furry family member is loved to the best of his ability.
I highly recommend my Aaron as a pet sitter on Rover. He’s responsible, patient, and genuinely loves animals. He takes the time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and needs, whether that’s daily walks, playtime, feeding schedules, or just extra attention and comfort. He’s reliable, communicates clearly, and treats every pet as if they were his own. You can trust that your pet will be safe, well cared for, and happy in his care. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a dependable and caring sitter.
Aaron is incredibly kind, reliable, and organized. He’s a devoted dog owner who truly understands pets’ needs and routines. His calm, loving nature and attention to detail make animals feel safe and cared for. I’d trust him wholeheartedly with any pet.

Schedule
Pet care fits naturally into my routine. As a teacher, I have a structured weekday schedule, which allows me to reliably offer early evening services during the week as well as flexible availability on weekends. I plan my schedule in advance and intentionally set aside time for walks and check-ins so each pet receives consistent, unhurried care and attention.

- It’s important for me to know your pet’s routine, personality, and any specific needs ahead of time. This includes feeding schedules, leash or walking preferences, behavioral triggers, fears, or reactivity, as well as any medical needs or medications. I also appreciate knowing what your pet enjoys most—favorite treats, toys, or activities—so I can make our time together positive and stress-free. The more I know in advance, the better I can tailor care to keep your pet safe, comfortable, and happy.
