About: Tucked away in the mountains, my off-grid home is more than just a boarding space—it’s a peaceful, nurturing retreat where both dogs and cats can feel safe, understood, and truly at home. I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals, and caring for them is second nature to me. Maybe it’s the Leo in me, but I’ve always been drawn to the independent, curious nature of cats, just as much as the loyalty and energy of dogs. I take the time to get to know each animal individually—their quirks, their comforts, and their communication style—because no two are the same. Whether they need adventure, structure, play, or just a quiet place to rest, I tailor their stay to what suits them best. My own pack includes two amazing dogs, both of whom I’ve raised since they were pups—an Australian Kelpie who thrives on activity and focus, and a Husky/Malamute mix who loves adventure just as much as I do. I also have two incredibly special cats, Face and Lilith. Face, my shadow and best friend, was once a wary barn cat who took 1.5 years to trust me. Now, he hikes with me and my dogs, showing an adaptability I’ve never seen in another cat. Lilith, my Hemingway cat, appeared as a tiny, helpless kitten in the woods and has since grown into a thriving, playful companion. Recently, I also took on the challenge of caring for and finding homes for 21 puppies all at once—an experience that reinforced my deep commitment to the well-being of every animal that comes into my care. For dogs, my home offers the perfect mix of adventure and comfort, with plenty of space to roam, explore, and play. For cats, I provide a dedicated, dog-free space downstairs, designed just for them, complete with padded, cloth-covered shelves, sunlit lounging spots, and plenty of enrichment to keep them engaged. Cats are never let outside unless specifically requested by their owner, ensuring their safety. Whether you have a dog who thrives on companionship and outdoor adventure or a cat who craves quiet comfort and personalized care, my home is a place where they will be loved, understood, and cared for like family. I do have a large fenced back yard which is behind expanded currently. Pet care isn’t just something I do—it’s fully integrated into my daily life. Living off-grid and working from home means I don’t have a traditional 9-to-5 schedule, so my time revolves around the animals in my care. From the moment I wake up, I’m tending to their needs—letting dogs out to stretch their legs in the fresh mountain air, preparing meals tailored to each pet, and making sure everyone feels comfortable and at ease. Throughout the day, I engage with them in ways that suit their personalities—whether it’s a long hike through the woods for high-energy dogs, quiet companionship for more relaxed pets, or interactive play for curious cats. Because I’m always home, no animal is ever left alone for long. I have the flexibility to adapt to their needs in real-time, whether it’s providing extra comfort for a nervous newcomer or giving an active pup the extra exercise they crave. At night, every pet settles in safely, knowing they are in a warm, loving environment. Caring for animals isn’t a job I clock in and out of—it’s simply my way of life. Exercise and outdoor time are a big part of my daily routine. I take my dog for runs or walks multiple times a day, exploring the beautiful mountain trails and giving them the movement they need. If your dog enjoys exercise and adventure, I’d be happy to include them in these outings, ensuring they get plenty of physical activity and enrichment. Whether they prefer a leisurely stroll or a high-energy run, I tailor the experience to match their needs and comfort level. If your pet has special needs—such as medication, a specific feeding routine, or any other care requirements—I’m happy to integrate that into my daily schedule. About: I have taken care of my own pets and the pets of friends since about age 10! I will play with, walk, pet, feed, and spend quality time with any precious pet of yours as if he/she is my own! I have been a trusted dog sitter and house sitter of many friends and friends of friends. I tend to take petsitting jobs by word-of-mouth, but now happy to offer my services through Rover! I also have two very healthy and happy cats of my own, so I am accustomed to the needs and habits of cats as well and would be so glad to give yours some love! I have two pet water fountains that are rinsed and refilled every day. I have a calm and quiet home that can be helpful for anxious or shy pets. About: I’ve grown up with animals my whole life and I care deeply for them. I adopted my first dog, a GSD, 7 years ago and adopted my second 4 years ago. I also have experience with senior dogs as I have a 13 year old Chihuahua. I feel very comfortable caring for big dogs and taking on the responsibilities that come with them. You can rest assured that your fur babies are safe with me! I currently only work part-time and am able to devote a large portion of time to caring for your pets. I am available for overnight stays and can check in multiple times a day to make sure your pet is cared for. I am very responsible and while pet sitting in clients’ homes I ensure to follow whatever instructions they leave for me. About: I've been a dog lover my entire life ever since my parents brought home a mini poodle when I was 5 years old. I have nice, clean, and spacious townhome in Tehachapi for your furry friend. Your baby will have a great time running around my home and going for walks. I have a large selection of doggy toys that your fur baby can play with and I have a nice selection of treats for them or you may supply your own. When it's time for your baby to sleep, I have many doggy beds for him/her to choose from. If you'd like to come by my home to meet myself and my family, we're more than happy to have you come by! I'm between jobs right now so I can tend to your fur babies 24/7. My schedule is open so I'm able to walk your fur baby as much as needed. About: What sets me a part of the fact that I owned a vet rescue with as many as 45 cats and 25 dogs. Definitely under understand how to take care of cats and dogs. I currently am not working staying at home taking care of the home. I have plenty of time to care for animals. I have years and years of experience, taking care of animals since I did have a pet rescue at one time. I have two cats and two dogs. My environment is very pet friendly and safe. About: Growing up with cats and dogs, I learned pet responsibility at a young age. I also learned that animals gave me a purpose and passion. I loved seeing our pups excitement when we arrived home, at meal/snack time or when they knew it was time for a walk. Because we are a home that rescues our furry family rather than purchase them, I know how to adjust to pups that are more timid and need time to adjust to new people. About: Dogs have always been so beautiful to me: the sweetest most loyal domesticated animals that deserve nothing but love and care. My family and I have had pets for as long as I can remember! While my family only ever owned smaller breed dogs growing up, we adopted a German Rottweiler from a family who wasn't able to keep him any longer about six years ago and he is the definition of a gentle giant. Our extended families always had dogs and they were my favorite part of family gatherings! I have two beautiful cats, Parsley and Canada, who are going on two years old and love doing their own thing together! I also have a sweet teen pup who I adopted from a shelter in Bakersfield named Moose (he's still getting used to giving my cats some space)! Loving and caring for these animals has helped me mature, adopt new lifestyle choices, and realize that all kinds of life is truly precious. Patience and love is key when taking care and dealing with animals and my fur babies are a huge part of who I am today. I'm currently a full time student in hybrid courses, so the only day I'm on campus is Tuesdays! Pet care is a huge part of my day- I have a breakfast routine for my fur gang, a short morning walk scheduled, a long afternoon walk, and a dinner routine for them too! They're a huge part of my day, when people ask if I have kids I say kinda lol I think they count!! 😌 I make sure all of my pets are comfortable always. Having cats and a dog, I understand that they like their space from eachother so they're often separated to feel as comfortable and relaxed throughout each one of their days. I'd take any direction from you for your pups/cats preferences very heavily; in all honesty, I would want someone to treat my fur baby with nothing but loving care and respect! :-)
