About: I currently have 4 husky pups that are very well socialized and would love more friends to play with. I also work with rescue groups to help pups in need. I have never met a pup I didn’t love! I currently work from home. Your pet will hardly be in a create and will be treated just like one of mine. Many potty breaks throughout the day. I often get on the floor and play so they know I am part of the pack. Toys? Well let’s just say there is not a shortage of toys in the house. Every room we visit has a “toy box”. Treats? No shortage of those here either but, I like to make them earn them - like enforcing commands they already know and rewarding them for going potty. I have almost a half acre with a fully fenced in back yard. Your pet will go out multiple times a day. I also foster and rescue pups so I am very good with socializing new pups with mine. They have previously lived with smaller pups such as a Jack Russell and Yorkie and they loved them to pieces. They also attend “daycare” and “overnight camp” in order to keep them socialized. I also feel like meet and greets are important to ensure your pup(s) interact well with mine. Safety is my number one concern. As I have stated mine are well socialized and I want nothing more to help others socialize theirs as well. Safety is a top priority in my home. I do accept puppies you well you just need to message me separately is we can discuss. My yard is fully fenced in and almost a 1/2 acre. I stop my work day to play fetch it for them for about an hour.
“Sarah and her family have a beautiful home and an amazing backyard for the pups! Her dogs are very sweet and Gracie had lots of attention and play time. Communication was also excellent. I highly recommend Sarah and her family. Thanks guys!”

“Lady had a wonderful stay! Jessica was very thoughtful and set up a meet-and-greet beforehand, which helped Lady feel comfortable. Lady loved being in her home and did great with her two dogs. When I picked her up, she looked happy and relaxed. She got walks, ate well, and came home settled and slept great that night. I really appreciated the care, communication, and welcoming environment. I would definitely recommend this sitter and would feel comfortable booking again.”

About: I've had dogs my entire life and started dog sitting at a young age. I currently have 2 dogs and would gladly welcome your pet into the mix. I feel that dogs truly are our best friends so you can rest assured they will be well taken care of when they're with me. I've watched puppies, seniors and I've even watched a dog that just got out of surgery. I freelance as a photographer and I spend part of my day editing which means plenty of time with your dog! I will make sure your pet gets lots of attention and play time. I walk the dogs daily and have a TON of toys. I have 2 dogs that can play with and keep your dog company. I have crates if needed as well. Dogs will be leashed in my yard at all times but I have parks near by to make sure they get exercise.
“Olha was amazing. Olha sent lots of photos and videos and really spent a ton of quality time with my puppy Sophia. Sophia was so happy and really loved being with Olha 💕. Highly recommend and we will definitely be a returning client.”

“Freddy had a great day with Monie along with her 2-legged and 4-legged family members! He made friends with everyone, enjoyed belly rubs, treats, adventures in the back yard and treats! Everything went really well - he will be back! I highly recommend Monie!”

“I was very happy with the care Sam received. Brenda is very patient and knowledgeable. Sam was very shy and she worked with that. He loved running with her. Her daughter was amazing with him. He followed her everywhere. He also got along with Brenda’s pets. I have already booked her again.”

“I highly recommend Elizabeth and Kevin. I really liked how we had a quick meet and greet before Maximus staying there. Great communication throughout the process and the day he was there. Plenty of pictures and for a first time stay, I had no worries, which speaks volumes. 100% he will be coming back. :)”

“Christine and Andrew have been the best with taking care of Wilma weekly. They are sure to keep us updated and send pictures - they also make sure she gets plenty of toys :) Wilma looks forward to her time with them each week and it has been so seamless working with the both of them. I highly recommend working with them on pet sitting needs - they rock!”

“I had the best experience with Joanna as my dog sitter! She was so accommodating last minute, incredibly dependable, and truly went above and beyond. She was loving, affectionate, and patient with my 12-week-old rescue puppy who isn’t fully potty trained yet. Her dog, Sunny, was the sweetest companion and the perfect playmate for my pup. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’m so grateful for her help and highly recommend Joanna to anyone needing a caring, trustworthy sitter!”

“Nikhil took amazing care of Zuri. We got so many pictures throughout the day and there is no doubt that she was having a wonderful time!! It’s hard to trust a new sitter, but I’m very glad we did!! Thank you!”

About: Hi there! I know how stressful it can be to leave your dog with someone new, which is why I treat every pup like my own. I provide full time, round the clock care, playtime in a secure fenced yard, and a calm, loving home where your dog can feel safe, relaxed, and happy. Prior to this, I spent years managing people and daily operations in my professional career, and I bring that same dependability, structure, and consistency into pet care. I pay close attention to each dog’s unique needs, whether it’s medication, special diets, or just extra affection. I’m home all day, every day, and I keep owners updated with photos, videos, and honest communication so you always know how your best friend is doing. My goal is simple: you leave worry free, and your dog leaves tail wagging and excited to come back. Pet care is at the center of my daily routine. I do this full-time, so I’m home throughout the day to give dogs my full attention. My mornings start with walks in the neighborhood, feeding, and playtime. Throughout the day, I keep dogs active, comfortable, and supervised, with plenty of breaks, affection, and quiet time. In my home, dogs enjoy a safe and comfortable space where they get plenty of attention and supervision throughout the day. I tailor care to each pet’s needs and personality, creating a calm, positive environment that helps them settle in and feel loved while their owners are away.
“Olive was at Tabitha’s first time and he was well take care of. She was very patient and gave him time to adjust to the new environment. Olive came back home a happy dog which speaks to how much he enjoyed his day with Tabitha and her dogs.”

“Keira is wonderful. My dog tends to be anxious around strangers, but he was instantly at ease with Keira. Each time he comes home from Keira's, Persy is relaxed and content. We love Keira and Milo!”

About: I adore animals and their personalities. I have animals of my own! I have 4 dogs and 2 cats. 2 of my dogs are babies 8 months and 9 months old, 3 month old kitten. I’m up every morning walking feeding changing puppy pads as I’m in the process of potty training 2 puppies also in the process of litter box training my kitten. I try to stay on a routine especially for the animals, if that involves feeding medication exercise. My animals stay on a schedule every morning and every night.
“Our inaugural visit today was a great success! Riley was made to feel quite welcomed and it’s clear that Diana and Juan are happy to host our pup! Great communication, photos and videos! We’ll be back!”

Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in SC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
