About: I’ve over six years of dog minding experience. I am very sensitive to dog’s needs, I would treat your dog as if they are my own. I’m currently searching for part time work, so I’ll have plenty of time to mind and walk your dogs. I have plenty availability and I am very flexible. I have a fully fenced and protected back garden for my own dog, a friendly Labrador, with plenty of grass area and a comfortable dog house.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with experience caring for dogs of all shapes, sizes and personalities. I’ve grown up around dogs my entire life and currently have my own dog, so I understand how important it is to feel that your pet is safe, happy and genuinely cared for. I absolutely love getting out for walks and spending time with dogs, whether that’s going on an adventure, having a cuddle or simply keeping them company. I’m reliable, patient and caring, and I’ll always treat your dog as if they were my own. I’m looking to spend more of my free time doing something I genuinely love, while giving owners peace of mind that their dog is in safe and loving hands. 🐾❤️ I’d be delighted to meet you and your dog beforehand so we can make sure we’re a good fit! I work shifts, so my availability can vary from week to week\. However, I have plenty of availability on my days off and I’m also happy to fit in dog walks around my working shifts when I can\. I’m flexible and will always do my best to work around your schedule\. I love getting out for walks anyway, so combining that with spending time with dogs is something I genuinely enjoy\! 🐶🐾 I have a loving and comfortable home where pets can feel safe, relaxed and part of the family. I’m happy to provide plenty of attention, cuddles, playtime and regular walks throughout their stay. I’ll follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding times, exercise and any specific needs or preferences they have. I also understand that every dog is different, so I’ll take the time to make sure they feel comfortable and settled in my home. 🐶❤️

About: I've been taking care of pets since I was 15 when I adopted my first dog. Since then, I've looked after my own pets and the pets of my family and friends when they're traveling. Here in Dublin I clean a house with two cats, and they are lovely. I'm currently working part-time, so I'll have plenty of time to play with your pets and provide what they need. I'm available weekly mornings and evenings, I'm available some afternoons, on weekends I can in the early morning. I always follow the guidelines given by the pet owners, as each animal has its own particular needs. I am a patient and loving pet sitter committed to providing the highest level of care, comfort, and safety.

About: Hi, I’m Wingki. I’ve always been around animals and really enjoy taking care of them. Back home I have a British Shorthair called Donggua (Wintermelon), I’m very familiar with cats’ routines and what they need day to day. I also have a 2-year-old tortoiseshell cat, Tiger, she’s curious and a bit cheeky, so I’m used to different personalities. I mostly work from home, so I’m quite flexible with visits and can spend proper time with your pet. I’ll stick to their usual routine like feeding, fresh water, cleaning the litter tray, and keeping things tidy. I’ll also make sure they get attention and playtime, and I’ll send you photo updates so you know they’re doing well. I’ve also looked after dogs before. I did a month-long house sit with four large dogs and two cats, including feeding twice a day and doing supervised walks for one of the dog, so I’m comfortable handling different needs and multiple pets. I’ll make sure your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well looked after while you’re away I work from home, so I have a flexible schedule for pet care. I’m available for lunchtime and evening visits on weekdays, and full availability on weekends. I follow each pet’s routine closely (feeding, playtime, cleaning) and make sure they feel comfortable and cared for, with regular updates and photos for peace of mind. I can stick to your pet’s usual schedule for feeding, playtime, and cleaning, making sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I’m also experienced with multiple pets and happy to send regular updates and photos. I tailor my care to each pet’s routine and needs. For drop-in visits, I refresh water, follow their feeding schedule, clean the litter box, and keep the area tidy. I also spend time playing with them so they feel comfortable, and I send regular updates and photos. For boarding in my home, I do have a cat, so I’d prefer pets that are okay with other cats. Ideally, we can arrange a gradual introduction beforehand to make sure they’re a good fit and feel at ease.

“Lavínia took great care of my two cats when I was away for a few days. Even though the commute was long for her, she visited twice a day and provided pictures and updates. I was able to enjoy my time away without too much worrying and came back home to two very happy cats. Would definitely recommend!”

“Lina checked my cat for a few days when i was travelling. She followed my instructions and sent me daily pics from her visit. I recommend her for pet parents who needs to leave home and looking for a reliable pet sitter.”

About: I've fostered dogs for 4+ years, from tiny puppies still learning the ropes to senior dogs needing a slower pace. I'm just as comfortable with a bouncy, high-energy dog on a hike as I am nursing a sick or recovering dog back to health. I've also volunteered at Blue Cross, giving me both hands-on and formal experience, and I'm confident with a wide range of breeds, including larger ones like German Shepherds. Whatever your dog needs, extra playtime, quiet company, or a bit of medical care, I'll treat them like my own. I'm currently flexible and available any day, so pet care fits easily into my routine. Whether it's a quick daily visit, a full day of walks and playtime, or overnight boarding, I can work around your schedule. Because my availability isn't tied to fixed work hours, I can offer consistency, which I know matters when you're leaving your pet with someone new. When I'm caring for pets in a client's home, I follow their established routine as closely as possible. I stick to the feeding schedule, medication instructions, and any house rules they've set out, since consistency matters most for keeping pets calm and comfortable. I keep the environment secure by double checking doors, gates, and windows, and I confine a pet if that's part of their normal routine or if they're the type who needs a settling in period with a new person. I always ask for detailed instructions beforehand so nothing is left to guesswork, and I stay in close contact with the owner throughout the visit or stay to update them on how their pet is doing.

About: I have looked after many different pets since 2014! Back then, I went around the neighborhood pet sitting and doing daily walks! Now, I am available for many different forms of pet care whether its near or far. I have experience with larger dogs (huskies primarily) small dogs, cats, etc! I am comfortable adjusting to any pets needs and learning exactly the best way to care for them individually. I currently do not work and do only a little bit of school on the side. I recently moved to Dublin so I am still settling in, and have plenty of time to care for your pets and any of their needs. I will give your pet any attention and/or space that they require, especially because I know some pets are very anxious when strangers are in their safe space. Essentially, I will do whatever is needed so they are the most comfortable during their care.

“Josie is wonderful with our two very enthusiastic Australian shepherds 😊 she took great care of them and would happily recommend her for any dogsitting needs! Our dogs are so happy when we come home after her visits.”

“Kerrie is a wonderful and reliable cat sitter. She kept me updated on every visit. Milka is a shy cat and doesn’t let strangers come near. Kerrie was very careful to not scare her. She also was cautious about the environment and whenever Milka created a mess, Kerrie fixed it ☺️. Thanks a million 🙏🏻”

About: I've taken care of my 4 dogs, 3 of which are large dogs, and my cat on multiple occasions by myself. I handle animals very well, have dog-sat for friends and family before as well and I really enjoy looking after them! I currently take care of a horse two days a week, and I am unemployed so I have lots of time to look after everyone's animals as well as my own! Sunday mornings are available after 12pm. I am available to walk dogs or cats, or do drop-in visits! My environment can be busy with other dogs often being walked on and off leash but I have plenty of experience with my own St. Bernard and Golden Retriever, both of which I trained to remain calm around other dogs.
“Natalia was fantastic with my cat! She took great care of her, updated me every visit and reached out to ask clarifying questions. I would definitely recommend Natalia as a pet sitter!”

About: I have grown up with pets, always having at least one in the house. Then also started taking care as a job and I love it :) I'm currently working part-time so I have plenty of time to do any type of pet care and would gladly love to help any way I can. I don't offer care in my own home, but in owners home I try my best to care for pets as if I'm the owner, I think it's important to also care.

About: I like everything about animals. I grew up spending a lot of time in my family’s farm playing with dogs and cats, and other farm animals. 🐴🐈 I am super energetic and work with kids and as a soccer coach for a living. Playing with dogs and cats is one my favorite things to do in my spare time. I live in a comfortable flat with a backyard I’m studying in the morning and available after that. My routine is calm and flexible. During the weekends I’m also available when needed. I ensure a safe, calm, and loving environment for every pet. I follow all owner instructions, maintain routines, and prioritize cleanliness, attention, and comfort so pets feel secure and happy.

Frequently asked questions about Rover
The average cost for Pet Sitting in Swords on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per Visit (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting.
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or toilet breaks occurred, for doggy day care, home visits, and dog walking services. You can also message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available by email or chat if you have concerns.
Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.
Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Swords pet parents with similar pet households.
Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.
Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.
For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Swords choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked. This can be helpful if you have a new pet or routine you want to go over with your sitter.
Meet & Greets can take place in person or virtually. If you're booking with a sitter for the first time, we recommend in-person Meet & Greets to get a clearer sense of how your sitter interacts with your pet or the new environment.
During the Meet & Greet, you'll have a chance to go through your pet's routine, medical needs and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. A Meet & Greet is a great way to prepare your pet and sitter for longer or first-time bookings. Read our tips for your first Meet & Greet.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When contacting your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
