About: I have plenty of experience caring for both dogs and cats, including dog walking, dog sitting, and cat sitting. I have grown up with both dogs and cats and have always loved being around animals. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and have experience with both large and small breeds. I have also cared for senior dogs and am comfortable providing oral medication and giving them the extra patience, attention, and care they need. With cats, I have experience with both adult cats and kittens, including fostering kittens and providing oral medication when needed. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I always take the time to make them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Whether your pet is energetic and playful, a little shy, or needs some extra care and attention, I’m happy to provide them with the same love and care I would give my own pets. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of flexibility and availability to care for your pet. I’m able to accommodate a variety of schedules and will always do my best to work around your pet’s routine and needs. I’m happy to discuss your specific schedule and find what works best for you and your pet. I have a secure, enclosed back garden where your pet can enjoy some outdoor time safely and comfortably. I also have a cat who is both an indoor and outdoor cat, but I will always respect your wishes and your pet’s usual routine, including keeping your pet indoors if that is what you prefer.

About: Hi! I’m Jessica, a veterinary graduate from Brazil with a big heart for animals and a lifelong passion for caring for them. Since childhood, I’ve always been surrounded by pets — dogs, cats, and even farm animals — and that love only grew stronger, leading me to study veterinary medicine. With my background and hands-on experience as a pet parent, I offer trustworthy, affectionate, and knowledgeable care for your beloved companions. Whether it’s walks, playtime, feeding, medication, or simply providing company and cuddles, I make sure every pet feels safe, comfortable, and happy while you’re away. I believe every animal deserves personalized attention, so I take the time to understand their routine, personality, and special needs. My goal is to give your pet the same love and care I’d want for my own. For cats, I have everything to make them feel at home — including a litter box and a scratching post, so they can settle in comfortably and feel relaxed from day one. Let’s chat beforehand to make sure your friend gets exactly what they deserve! I provide dedicated pet care every day that I have guests. Each day, I focus on feeding, exercising, and interacting with pets, ensuring they receive both physical activity and mental stimulation. I pay close attention to their individual needs, whether it’s a dog that enjoys walks, a cat that prefers quiet play, or any other pet with special routines. Throughout their stay, I monitor their health, behavior, and well-being, keeping a consistent schedule so every pet feels safe, happy, and loved. I prioritize safety, trust, and a comfortable environment for every pet in my care. In my home or at a pet owner's home, I make sure the space is secure and pet-friendly, with no hazards and everything they need to feel comfortable and relaxed. I follow each pet’s routine, dietary needs, and preferences closely, and I supervise them during playtime, walks, or any activity to ensure their well-being. Building trust with both pets and their owners is very important to me. I maintain open communication, providing updates, photos, or messages as needed, so owners feel confident that their pets are happy, safe, and well-cared-for at all times.

About: When your dog stays with us, they're getting two dedicated carers rather than one. My sister Bridget and I live together and are lifelong dog lovers with over 15 years' experience caring for dogs of all ages, sizes, and personalities. We have experience with puppies, senior dogs and dogs with medical needs, and we're comfortable administering medication when required. We share our home with our own dog, Louie, and understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with a beloved family member. Because there are two of us involved in your dog's care, they'll benefit from plenty of company, attention, and supervision throughout their stay. We know how much trust it takes to leave your dog with someone else, so we'll care for them as if they were one of our own: keeping them safe, happy, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Pet care is a natural part of our daily routine. My sister Bridget and I live together and both help care for the dogs staying with us, with flexible work schedules, there is almost always one of us home during the day. Your dog's safety and comfort are always our top priorities. We live in a quiet area with easy access outside and are fortunate to have several great parks and walking routes nearby. We never let dogs off lead unless we've discussed it with the owner and are completely confident in their recall. We're happy to follow your dog's existing routine and accommodate any preferences, quirks, dietary requirements, or medical needs to help them feel comfortable and secure while you're away.

About: Hi there! I’m a certified veterinarian from Mexico who recently moved to Ireland in June 2026. Back home, my life always revolved around animals—from dogs and cats to rabbits and fish. Right now, my beloved cat is staying with my parents, and because I miss her and the daily joy that pets bring into a home, I decided to join Pawshake. For me, this is not just a job; it is a way to fill my heart while providing the absolute best care for your best friend. 🩺 Professional Veterinary Background I have always been deeply committed to animal welfare, which led me to study Veterinary Medicine. I graduated in 2020, and since then, I have worked continuously in veterinary hospitals and clinics. What this means for your pet: I have extensive experience in animal health, monitoring behavior, and recognizing subtle signs of stress or discomfort. Specialized Care: If your pet is a senior, has chronic medical conditions, or requires specific medication (oral, injections, etc.), they will be in the safest hands possible. I am fully trained to handle medical needs with the utmost gentleness and precision. 🕊️ My Lifelong Bond with Dogs Throughout my life, I have given my heart to four beautiful dogs, most of whom were rescued from the streets. They taught me everything I know about unconditional love, patience, and senior pet care: Pirata: A beautiful French Poodle mix who was gifted to me by my grandfather when I was just 3 years old; he lived a long, happy life until the age of 18. Buba: A sweet Labrador who was with us until she was 12. Dokho: A brave companion who lived to be 15, whom I lovingly cared for through his heart and liver failure. Pam: A Labrador who completely changed my life and passed away two years ago at age 12 due to chronic kidney disease. Losing Pam was heartbreaking, and because I knew I wanted to travel and explore the world, I chose not to get another dog of my own until I fully settle down. Caring for your pet will truly bring that missing joy back into my life. 🏡 What I Offer I will treat your pet exactly as if they were my own—with unconditional love, respect, and deep professional attention. Whether it is a high-energy walk, keeping up with their strict feeding schedules, or simply providing a calm, affectionate presence so they don't feel lonely, I am here for them. Since I am highly organized and communicative, you can expect regular updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your furry family member is being looked after by a professional who genuinely cares. I can't wait to meet your pet and give them a home away from home! Please feel free to reach out with any questions or special requirements. 🐕✨ My weekly routine is highly structured and predictable, making it easy to provide consistent, quality care. I study in the mornings, which keeps my schedule very stable. Once my classes are over, I organize my time so that I have my afternoons completely free to be at home, relaxing and keeping the pets company. Since I love exercising and going for daily walks, I absolutely enjoy incorporating dog walks into my active routine—it's the perfect match! This way, I can ensure the dogs get plenty of outdoor exercise and fun, while still enjoying a calm, attentive, and cozy environment once we are back home. In my home: I live in a cozy, smaller apartment, so I make sure to compensate for the space by keeping the dogs active outdoors. If your pet stays with me, I will adjust my schedule to take them out for more frequent walks and exercise. This way, they can burn off their energy outside and enjoy a calm, relaxed, and comfortable environment once we are back home. In the owner's home: If you prefer me to care for your pet in their own home, my absolute priority is to respect and maintain their exact daily routine. I know how important stability is for pets, so I will strictly follow their usual feeding, walking, and playtime schedules. This ensures they feel completely comfortable, safe, and happy in their familiar environment, making your time away as stress-free as possible for them.

About: Have taken care of pets for many years mainly cats, hamsters and guinea pigs with from time to time minding dogs such as red setters, beagles and smaller dogs. Besides the "regular" kind of animals I have also minded fishes and I have a deep interest in sugar gliders and other exotic pets I'm a masters student, so I have plenty of time to mind, check-up or walk the pets. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate most requests. The pets safety and well-being are my top priorities. If there are any medications or strict guidelines to follow be assured that I don't mind take extra time or steps to ensure the comfort and peace of mind of both owners and pets alike. There is a very big park/walking route that can be adapted to suit all levels of energy your pet may have. Generally I wouldn't not take cats and dogs at the same time, unless they were siblings and were coming together. I wouldn't take more than 3 dogs at a time. As for cats I can accommodate maximum 4 cats depending on their personalities and willingness to be around other cats. In regards to exotic pets, it would depend and the type of pet.

About: I’ve grown up surrounded by dogs, so caring for them has always been a natural part of my life. I’ve had many years of hands-on experience looking after dogs, including managing daily routines, exercise, play, socialisation and general care. I’ve also been closely involved in a dog’s professional training, which gave me valuable practical knowledge about canine behaviour, communication, boundaries, basic obedience and positive reinforcement. This experience taught me how important patience, consistency and calm communication are when caring for dogs. I’m comfortable with energetic dogs and larger breeds, and I enjoy keeping dogs active and mentally stimulated. I also understand that every dog has a different personality and needs, so I always adapt my approach to their individual temperament, energy level and routine. I know how important it is to feel confident when leaving your dog with someone else. I treat every dog in my care with patience, attention and affection, while following their usual routine and their owner’s instructions as closely as possible. My goal is simple: for every dog to feel safe, happy and comfortable while they’re in my care. I study English Monday to Friday from 3:45pm to 5pm, so I’m available before and after my classes. I’m also very flexible on weekends and can adapt to different pet care schedules depending on the service needed. I provide a safe, calm and caring environment for pets. I always follow the owner’s instructions and keep their normal routine as much as possible. I’m attentive to their needs and make sure they receive plenty of care, exercise and companionship.

About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover with hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities. I’ve been around dogs practically my entire life — starting at age 4 with my first Labrador, followed by a Chihuahua, as well as mixed breeds with Bull and Boxer traits. I especially enjoy energetic dogs and understand how important it is to meet their physical and emotional needs. Through caring for my own dogs, I’ve also gained experience handling reactivity and learning how to stay calm, patient, and attentive in different situations. I believe every dog deserves a balance of mental stimulation, physical exercise, playtime, affection, and proper care. I truly enjoy building trust with each dog and understanding their unique personality and rhythm. Every dog is different, and I’ll always adapt to your dog’s specific needs to make sure they feel safe, happy, and comfortable. I’m naturally observant, patient, punctual, and very caring with animals. Beyond dogs, I genuinely love animals in general and treat every pet as if they were my own. My goal is always to provide reliable, loving, and attentive care so both you and your dog can feel completely at ease. I currently attend school from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, which gives me flexibility during afternoons and evenings for pet care. I also work remotely online in the afternoons, so I’m able to stay attentive and present while caring for pets. Because of this schedule, I can dedicate quality time to walks, playtime, feeding, companionship, and making sure dogs feel comfortable and cared for throughout the day. I’m organized and reliable, and I always make sure pets receive the attention, exercise, and routine they need. About: I have 25+ years of experience providing pet services and have been caring for animals all my life. Brought up with cats, horses, dogs, guinea pigs, chickens and cows, I am comfortable with the varying personalities and needs of every pet I take care of, including the administration of medication. Throughout my time as a volunteer in Africa, I had the honor of leading a vaccination campaign that benefited over 1,400 animals and 110+ farmers and their families. Working hands-on with livestock owners and veterinarians to improve animal health strengthened my belief in patience, attentiveness, and the importance of routine care for the holistic health of animals. I am also a keen gardener and beekeeper, which adds to my love of spending time outdoors and tending to living things. Growing up on a farm, I understand the importance of caring for animals. I will treat your animal(s) as if they were my own, with the love and care I would expect someone to do for mine. I’m able to give your pets plenty of attention, playtime, and companionship throughout the day. Whether it’s cuddle breaks or outdoor play in the yard, your pet will never feel alone or overlooked. Their needs are part of my schedule, not an afterthought—so you can feel confident they’re getting consistent love and care every step of the way. Your pets are happiest in the place they know best, so I’m happy to care for them in the comfort of their own home. I’ll keep their usual routines as consistent as possible, from mealtimes and walks to playtime, cuddles, and plenty of attention. Whether your pet loves long walks, playing with their favourite toys, or simply relaxing on the sofa, I’ll take the time to get to know their personality and make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Staying in their own home also means they can enjoy their familiar surroundings, favourite sleeping spots, and all the little comforts they’re used to. My goal is to make your time away as stress-free as possible—for both you and your pets—by giving them the love, care, and companionship they’re accustomed to, right where they feel most at home.

FAQs for Pet Sitting - Dunshaughlin

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Dunshaughlin on Rover is {{median_grand_total_num.as_currency}} per Visit (as of {{date}}). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting.

Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialise in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your Eircode to find a sitter within walking distance in your neighbourhood.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or toilet breaks occurred, for doggy day care, home visits, and dog walking services. You can also message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available by email or chat if you have concerns.

Of course! Many sitters on Rover are experienced in caring for multiple pets simultaneously, whether you have a pack of dogs, a clowder of cats, or a mix of both.

Look for sitters who highlight multi-pet expertise or check for verified reviews from other Dunshaughlin pet parents with similar pet households.

Every sitter must complete an identity verification process before listing their services on Rover. This process checks that the sitter’s identity matches their provided documents.

Identity verification doesn't assess a sitter’s experience or suitability for your pet. To see if a sitter is the right fit, you can review each sitter's profile for ratings, verified reviews, repeat pet owner information and care style. We also recommend arranging a Meet & Greet to discuss your pet’s needs and make sure the sitter is the right fit before booking.

For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Dunshaughlin choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into your regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

A Meet & Greet is a casual meeting to vet potential sitters and communicate care needs for peace of mind before a booking begins. Only sitters who've never booked with you before can schedule a Meet & Greet on Rover, but you're welcome to coordinate one in Rover messages with sitters you've previously booked.
