“Leigh was great with Zeus. She was always on time and Zeus loved play time!”

About: I have had dogs and cats in my life for over 50 years. I was so lucky to grow up in a home that was the local Noah’s Arc. This childhood formed my commitment and love to animals. About 20 years ago, I decided to enter the world of pure bred dogs and have been an avid exhibitor and breeder of Pointers and Ridgebacks focused always on good temperaments and health. I love dogs and really believe it’s important that each animal I care for, feels at home, comfortable, pampered, exercised and loved. I have 4 dogs that are super casual and it has been very easy to bring animals into my home. I will only take 1 or 2 dogs at a time, as I want to be able to provide the best care possible for them. Your animals are treated as though they are mine and the care and love they will experience can only be exceeded by you. It’s always stressful for animals to be away from their families, so the more I can do to relieve this stress, the better I feel. I always tease my clients that their dogs may come home a little spoiled. I’m very much available all day really to take care of the dogs as my schedule is very flexible. In addition my brother lives with me and he helps me take care of the dogs. There is always a person at our house while your dog will be visiting. I also offer a military discount for those that have or are serving our beautiful country. I do not work outside of the home, which provides me with a lot of flexibility to provide dedicated care to your pets all day. I think it's important dogs that stay at my house receive the same amount of attention as they would at home and as my dogs do. I also believe it's important not to disrupt their daily routine, so I work closely with owners to understand each Dog needs.

“Harley seemed to have a good visit with Hannah! It was a semi-long day for Harley in the crate, but he was still tired for bed which means he must of had a good energy release when Hannah visited.”

About: I was known as the girl who grew up on a "petting zoo". I love animals and have always had and cared for furry pets from dogs, cats, horses, to ducks and rabbits. I grew up in the country with animals and as an adult and with a full time job I do dog/house sitting for people in my area on the side. I would love to be able to care for yours as well, as it gets me out of the house and I love to be active and go to the park! I work a full time job during the day, but my evenings are available, especially if I get my exercise in with walks. I would also be available on the weekends case by case and with a trust worthy client do overnight house sitting. I live in an apartment so I would have to come to you or pick them up and take them to a park I go to on the daily

“Sydney is awesome and such a lifesaver. I needed someone to let my dogs out while I was at work. I was skeptical though because I was entrusting a stranger with both my dogs and my house. Sydney is trustworthy, reliable, flexible schedule wise and great with my 2 rescues! She has a love for animals that shows and can match the energy level of your dogs. She is a true gem and I am truly grateful for her taking care of my dogs while I am at work. I can relax, focus on my work and know my dogs are in safe hands. My dogs and I thank you Sydney for your compassion, dedication to animals and making everyone’s day brighter! If anyone out there is skeptical, Sydney is your person!”

About: Hi! I’m a passionate animal lover with 6+ years of experience in the animal care industry. I have worked in animal shelters & boarding facilities, and I love dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I have lots of experience with shy/nervous dogs, as well as experience training basic manners and working through leash reactivity and anxiety all through positive reinforcement. In between working part-time and taking my own dog on adventures, I have plenty of time to build a relationship with your pet. I am available Sunday - Tuesday before 12pm, & Wednesday - Saturday anytime. I have a golden retriever who loves other dogs and would love to become walking buddies with yours! Although my dog goes most places with me, it is absolutely no problem to leave her at home if your dog prefers to be alone.

“Catherine and Susan were great. Left great updates and provided cute photos. Susan immediately got to know the cats’ personalities and made sure to take care of their needs while giving me peace of mind.”

And when I’m walking my sisters dogs, I always have a leash and a tight grip in case anything was to happen. I always come in and leave how things were left.

About: I have reached 12 years of experience watching over pets in 2025 and don’t plan on stopping any time soon! I love spending time with animals and have two myself. I have a 5 year old Red Fox Labrador, Eli and a 4 year old cat, Nox. In addition to Rover, I am a self-employed entrepreneur. I enjoy working with animals so, I continue to build clientele on Rover. I also have a fair amount of regulars so I do book up pretty fast! Also, for a select few families, I nanny and provide care for their children and their elderly, loved ones. I grew up in a home full of animal lovers so, your pup(s) are welcome with open arms! That is with your permission and, of course, they are not aggressive with other dogs, cats, adults and children. About: *** Please feel free to message me if you are concerned about rates or would like to set up a different form of payment *** There has never been a moment in my life where I didn’t have animals. We have had dogs, cats, horses, and chickens and I have loved all of them equally. I have been helping to take care of my grandpa’s coonhounds since I could walk. Throughout my life, I have been able to work with these strong, high energy dogs. I have experience with walking them, as well as teaching them how to walk on the leash with minimal pulling. We have also raised MANY litters of puppies, so I have experience with puppy care as well. I have had the responsibility of giving puppies their parvo/puppy shots to ensure they don’t become ill when weaning from their mother. I have also had my own dog, Sally, for about 10 years now. She is a French bulldog, and she does need a little extra care sometimes. She has some skin irritations, so she has a special food that has helped. She also has a gentle shampoo that she is bathed with that will not cause her to itch afterwards. I also keep her face and wrinkles clean to keep any irritation at bay. I am a student at Morehead State University, where I am part of an organization called 4Paws for Ability. We work with service dogs in training where we socialize them in public. These dogs learn to not be afraid of new things, and to feel comfortable and confident in a public setting no matter where they go. I have been a part of this group for two years, and for a year and a half of this time, I have been able to dog sit many of these dogs countless amounts of time. I had the opportunity to work with and be responsible for one of these dogs named Gingko. I was responsible for his care, and a lot a lot of his basic commands. My main goal was to socialize him in public, which included things like meeting new people/children, being able to walk by dogs without a reaction, going shopping at Walmart, hearing new sounds, or even just a walk through a park. In the summer of 2022, I volunteered at the Owen County Animal Clinic where I had the opportunity to work with all sorts of dogs and cats. Often times, I would comfort and hold animals still for any injections, nail trimmings, or basic inspection that needed to be done. I enjoyed my time there, and I especially enjoyed giving love and comforting many of the scared and stressed animals. I currently have a part time job and will be working on some Wednesdays and Fridays, as well as Saturdays and Sunday mornings. I won’t be working all day, so will still have availability on those days, but not a full day. Otherwise, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays are open all day! I do help my grandfather exercise his hound dogs on occasion, but nothing that interferes with creating a schedule. I have a pretty big yard so my dog gets to run around as she pleases. She isn’t kept on a collar or leash as she is very well trained to stay in the yard, but she doesn’t like to be alone anyway so she stays near me. But I do understand that not all dogs are like this and may need a very watchful eye. When my grandpa raises a litter of coonhound puppies, they need to be watched during outside times so they don’t wonder off into the woods or close to the road.

Makena G.
“Makena is a life long lover of all animals. I have frequently called her "the animal wisperer." She somehow has a second sense about her that even the most timid, anxious, abused, and neglected animals seem to connect and immediately feel safe with her. My super protective and anxious Australian shepherd would go absolutely bonkers at the mention of her name. They had a special connection that not many could develop with my crazy guy! Her huge heart for the love she shares with animals has made her an amazing person. Sometimes the love of a pet and their love for you is the best connection and one of the most meaningful types of relationships we develop in life. Blair her dog is treated better than most humans and Makena is her best friend! She loves playing in the water, taking rides, going on trails. Makena is the owner, but Blair is the boss! She does anything and everything to keep her at her happiest. Makena's extensive history for working with other people's most precious pets makes her an exceptional candidate for this position. I have no doubt that Makena will excel! As I have noted, with her love of animals, devotion to the happiness of animals, and caring heart, she will without a doubt win over her client's and their pets!”
