“Amber is so caring and attentive to our 3 elderly dogs. We went out of town for 4 days and she sent us frequent pictures and updates. 5/5 or if I could giver her a 10/10!! We’ll definitely be booking her again!”

“Big thanks to grey for taking care of my puppy when I needed help last minute. He’s only 9 weeks old so he needs constant attention, it’s no easy task! I am super appreciative & I know my little pup is too!”

“Elizabeth is wonderful and communicative. She asks great questions to be sure she is treating your pets the way you would (or better)! She even took my reactive dog for a walk when I gave her the option to just use the fenced yard. That was a big deal to me (and him)! Highly recommend.”

About: I’ve had several dogs of my own and lived with others: lab/pit mix, pits, two German Shepherds, a Great Dane, a friendly chihuahua, and an evil chihuahua. I’ve rescued dogs off the street, and am all around good with animals. I have a job that gives me a lot of flexibility in my schedule. I do travel from time to time, which is why I don’t have a pup of my own. I can be whatever your dog needs. If he’s old, we can relax together; full of energy? We can throw sticks around and run. Small and skittish? Food is a great incentivizer to build trust. I’m looking to make some extra cash and enjoy the company of your pets. I will make sure your dog is happy, fed, played with, and comfortable. I only take on one client at a time, so owners do not have to worry about their pets interacting with another owner's pets. Your loved ones will have my undivided attention.

“Ginger was great. Arrived early and took very good care of my dog. Sent me text pictures during the stay. I could tell that Jazz really liked her. The stay was for just a few hours to allow me to attend a social event, but I was happy to pay, the full overnight charge as Ginger was very professional, very pleasant and indeed very reliable. She would be my first choice in the Highlands/Cashiers NC area when I am traveling there. MKW.”

“Gabe took great care of our dogs while we were gone. He gave us lots of updates which was very appreciated! We knew they were well taken care of”

“Susan took such good care of our guys while house sitting. Our two dogs and cat got so much attention while we were gone. Daily updates with pictures kept our minds at ease. Thanks again.”

“I was nervous about someone we just met staying in my home with my dogs while we were away. Also, I have three pitties who come with a LOT of energy. Chris did an excellent job of making us feel comfortable at the two meet and greets, as well as this past weekend while we were in Tennessee. She was communicative and very helpful. She left the house cleaner than when she arrived. It’s safe to say that, given how it has gone so far, we are much more confident going to France for almost two weeks in a few days here. We’re confident Chris will take care of our home and pups. Got ourselves a dog sitter.”

“Michael took great care of our dog and cat for several days. He was very prompt with responding to messages. He also left our place neat and tidy. I would ask for him to sit again.”

“Brenda was excellent with my Sam. Couldn’t have found a more wonderful person. She took the best care of Sam anyone could have ask for . If you are looking for a sitter Brenda is the best.”

“Juliann watched our cat and dog while we were away for a long weekend. She did a wonderful job keeping us informed by sending photos and giving us regular updates. Highly recommend her.”

About: I’ve had a cat and a dog and have provided senior care to both. If I care for your fur baby they will be spoiled rotten! I am currently working part time, but plan to be home full-time if I have enough work through Rover. We have two dog parks in the community where I live so your pup will get plenty of walks and playtime. I also have a cat catio for your feline fur baby. I have a large front porch with a doggie door that goes out onto a long side porch that is covered. At the end of the porch there are steps that goes into a fenced in area with Astro turf for your dogs potty needs.

About: Hello! I’m a college student with a lifelong love for animals and 3 years of paid pet care experience. I grew up in a home with 3 cats and 7 dogs, so caring for furry friends comes naturally to me! I’ve even assisted with the birth of multiple litters since I was young and have experience training puppies. I’d be thrilled to care for your furry baby like one of my own! I am a college student and only have classes 3 days a week in the mornings! So I have a very free and flexible schedule otherwise! Plenty of time to care for your furry baby! When I stay in your house to look after your fur baby, I will make sure to give them plenty of time and attention and stick to the schedule they have!

“August is amazing ! Our pups are very used to us being home with them. So when we decided to take a long weekend away we were nervous about leaving them. August took time over several weeks to drop in and spend time with them prior to the weekend. While we were away she sent us frequent updates. When we arrived home our pups were happy and very calm - not stressed at all. She is mature and trustworthy. As long as August is available we will trust her with our home and furry friends !”

“Bonny had an exciting overnight with Noel! She loved exploring Noel's house and taking walks around the neighborhood. Noel was great with communicating with me about bonny and even sent me fun shots of Bonny playing. I highly recommend Noel and am looking forward to working with her again!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs since I was a child. I grew up with dogs and have had my own dogs as well! I currently have a senior dog and an adult dog. I have experience giving medicine and injections. I also have worked with many dog trainers, which has given me great insight on how to work with all dogs of different behaviors and personalities! I work full time from home with a flexibly job, so I am able to easily get take pets out for potty breaks and walks. If the dog I am sitting is at my house and gets along well with other dogs, we will do group walks with my dogs! If not, we will do solo walks. We also have a fully fenced in back yard. I have a fully fenced backyard and baby gates to separate the upstairs and downstairs of my home. My two dogs are used to having other dogs around, but can easily be separated to different parts of the home if needed. I can also easily work with a crate if you are crate training your dog / they are already crate trained.

Cumberland Village pet parents share their Rover experiences
Denisse is one of the best Dogsitter’s we’ve had! She is very communicative and reassuring, and our shy lab mix became comfortable with her very quickly. She also made sure to give lots to love to our needy beagle. I highly recommend her!

Leo is a fantastic dogsitter. He is a warm and grounded person who clearly loves dogs! We left for an extended vacation of over two weeks and needed an exceptional caregiver. We felt lucky to find Leo. He clearly connected with our 6 month old Kangal who is a wonderful dog - full of energy and very independent minded who needs someone loving and caring like Leo. Leo is attentive to detail, very responsive and professional in all his interactions. He left the house immaculate. We look forward to working with him again!!

I can not say enough great things about Rebecca R! They take amazing care of all of my animals and their daily communication is so comforting and important to me. Highly highly recommend!!!

Very competent and diligent. A pleasure to work with and a secure feeling to have Julie in our home. Our first-time experience with a Rover sitter, and it was most gratifying. The two 'boys' loved her.

We had a truly wonderful experience with Rover and our sitter, Summer. She provided thoughtful, thorough updates, shared frequent photos, and cared for our pets as if they were her own. It gave us such peace of mind knowing they were in such good hands. We’re already looking forward to having Summer visit again soon and are so grateful for the care and attention she gave our furry family members!

Mandolyn did a great job watching my quirky crew! She was very good with my reactive dog, Sammy and even let them sleep in bed with her. I would definitely hire her again

Paige was amazing! She was proactive and found things to do to be helpful while we were gone; we were really impressed! Our pet was happy and healthy. Would definitely recommend.

Kayla is totally awesome! We were so thrilled she began live-in care, she had done drop in visits and care of our two elder cats four years ago and we adored her then, but when those two passed and we adopted two youngster kitties, we wanted a live in sitter. We discovered Kayla was doing live-on now! She is so excellent, caring and kind, communicates incredibly well and took wonderful care of our kitties and home! Totally terrific!
