Is there a way to book with someone pending the meet and greet?

I have seen on here that we should not book until after a meet and greet, perfect that is what I am doing. I am only taking 1 dog at a time for my in house boarding and if I do not book someone until after I meet them, then I still look available and get requests. How do I avoid that? I am new to this so hope you can help!

Yes, sounds like you are on the right path, and you will still get requests until it is booked (which is good- because you may find more than 1 person is interested in having their pet stay with you for the same dates and at the meet& greet, you may decide one of the dog’s is a better fit for you and your home than the other. If you set up the meat and greets within a reasonable amount of time, you can tell the potential clients that you had another inquiry and you’re meeting both dogs before booking either.

BTW The reason you do not want to book before the meet and greet is you could meet a dog with its owner and determine that it is not compatible for you & your home. If it’s not a good match, it’s much easier to simply say it was nice meeting you & your dog, but we’re not a match, and rover can help you find the right match for your dog. Without a booking set, there is zero commitment.
