If booking requests expire after 72 hours, but you aren't able to do a meet & greet within that time, how do you wait until after the meet and greet to accept the booking?

I know it's recommended to wait until after the meet and greet to accept a booking, but in many cases, the service date is far out enough that it's not urgent to do the meet and greet immediately and it often isn't convenient to schedule a meet and greet within the upcoming 3 days. I usually schedule them for the upcoming week or weekend. But, I don't want the booking to expire while I'm waiting for the meet and greet, so I usually just accept the booking before the meet and greet. Is there a way to hold the booking request without expiration until after the meet and greet?

Booking requests "expire" within 72 hours for the client unless you have already texted them you are interested in the booking and have yet to do the M&G. The booking remains in your pending folder until you the sitter takes action, it also stays in the clients pending folder. Hope this answers your question

So if a M&G is booked, it won't actually "expire"?

Yes it won't expire

You can always message the client to set up m&g, move the booking request to the archives folder, and after the m&G if it's a match then go to the archives folder and move the booking request back to inbox and book it. It's really that easy.

Will that notify the client that it was archived?

No clients don't see what you do with a booking request unless you decline it

Walt informed you correctly. The client will not know it's archived. You may choose to tell them it's archived if you wish (as a way of stating we're not booked until after the m&g).

Thanks for the info!
