It sounds as if you are asking Rover. No one from Rover will answer you here, This is a community for sitters and pet owners.
However, if a pet is lost, the sitter is supposed to notify Rover's Trust & Safety Team for assistance. I would hope that the sitter also contacts the pet owner; that would be the most responsible thing to do.

A responsible sitter would contact both Rover and the owner. Am I right in assuming you are the owner? If so, is there a reason you ask? Speaking for myself, I love to read the posts from owners, it helps me gain perspective. Cindy
