When should I hit the "book now" button when messaging with dog owners? Should I wait until after the meet up? Or can I hit it before since the owner has to accept?
For example, If I message them and say I can dog sit, but they want a meet up first, should I wait until after the meet up to hit "book now"?

Always, always have a meet and greet before accepting the booking. Either you or the client may not agree to go forward with the booking.
I wait until after meeting the owner and the dog at least once. Depending on how far out the booking depends on when I hit "Book Now"
Also, For example, I have a booking 2 months from now, The owner and I have met and will meet once more before the week I am needed to sit. I am leaving the request pending until the first day I am needed is like 3 weeks away. Just to make sure nothing pops up. We occasional chat just to make sure its still on.
