Do you have a "Check out" time the day of pickup?

I'm just wondering what everyone does when a client books for # nights and doesn't arrive for pickup until 6 or 7 pm. At that point it is a full day of free services (2-3 walks, feeding, etc). Is it appropriate to ask for an approximate pickup time and if it's after, say, 2pm they have to pay for doggy day care for the day?

I always ask for an approximate dropoff & pickup time before providing service. Then if pickup will be long after the 24 hour boarding limit, you could let the client know about the additional daycare charges and give them a chance to accept or reject that. Then modify their charges online. Wait for full payment to be made online.
