What do I charge for a second dog from the same client?

For boarding I charge $10 less than my regular boarding rate for each additional dog from the same household. My thought is that dogs from the same household will already get along and I won't have to worry about them as much. But at the same time, that additional dog is still taking a 'full price' spot (I board 2-3 at a time) so I don't want to lose out on that money. Plus I still have to coordinate multiple dogs in my house.

For house sitting I only charge an additional $10 for each dog over the first. In this case I can't be boarding/house sitting any other dogs, so I'm not concerned about 'losing' any money. Again, I assume the dogs already get along and since we're in their own home, their routine will be familiar and it won't be much extra work after the first dog.

I discount the second dog by around $3.00. No discount for multiple puppies or adolescents though!

I charge 1/2 price for the second dog from the same family for boarding. I have 2 dogs and know how expensive it is to board them both. I usually only take one dog a night, so having the second dog is not taking a spot away. For drop ins, I charge $12 extra for each pet. Clients usually appreciate the discount and I have never had an issue with pups not getting along.

I charge about 7/8$ less than my normal rate. i have seen some sitters that charge only 5 or 10$ for additional dogs, but those dogs are taking up space from a full time dog, so I don't want to make it too low, while at the same time I understand that it can get really expensive to find a place for your dogs to stay when you have more than one. So I feel like that amount is enough of a discount.
