How to housesit extremely attached pug who snores & wants to sleep in same bed?

Humorous problem but... I'm housesitting for two pugs (not from rover) who are pretty typical pugs in that they're obsessed with humans. One follows me literally everywhere. Their parents told me that 'they will try to sleep with you' in their manual they emailed to me and I think they left it intentionally vague; they didn't want to tell me that I should let them sleep in the same bed but it seems to be somewhat expected. What I didn't know is how desperate the pugs are to sleep in the same bed with people and how insane the snoring of one of them is. I've tried ear plugs and I literally can't fall asleep with one of the pugs near me because it's deafening. I put them upstairs because I just couldn't take it and they spent an extremely long time clawing at the door. I told one of the parents 'Stella is so cute but my goodness does she snore! I'm going to have to get ear plugs :)' and he basically was just like 'Haha yeah, she likes to do that'

What would you do in this situation? I feel horrible not letting the pugs sleep in my bed because they're obviously obsessed and they cause a ruckus upstairs tumbling when I don't let them in but I also would like more than 2 hours of sleep. I can't imagine how any other sitters could take the noise!

Instead of earplugs could you try headphones playing quiet music? Or use a fan or other white noise in the room? There are plenty of playlists online for white noise that might help, and a box fan helps me drown out the sound of my own dog's snores.

Your question has me nervous though - tonight I'm watching two pugs and don't allow dogs on my bed! Fingers crossed they don't snore too bad ;)

I hope it goes well! Thankfully I made it through the stay although I literally didn't sleep for a single hour last night :/ I think I'm just gonna say that I can't sit for them again... I don't really want to (contd)

fall asleep with my ipod on every night, I don't do that regularly and I don't think loud sound in your ears for hours and hours is healthy, idk.

Sounds like you will need ear plugs. I haven't dealt with that issue, but have found that most of the times dogs want to be with you...if they can't join you in bed, sometimes they can be satisfied in a dog bed right next to the bed or couch if you end up sleeping in a living room. Anything other than same room can easily result in property damage and self-inflicted injuries of dogs scratching and chewing to get closer to you.

With dogs often on different schedules and them waking easily in different situations/environments, I'm somewhat accustomed to lack of sleep...but would suggest if you're short on sleep, maybe you can fit in a nap while the dogs are asleep at some point during the day to get a little more time. If they're asleep already, maybe you can do so elsewhere?

They are light sleepers and will follow me downstairs for my naps. I get zero sleep even with ear plugs and am a total zombie the next day; can't consume caffeine for health issues. If I blocked the door with a chair or two I imagine thst might stop them but idk

I guess I will try sleeping in a chair upstairs so there won't be enough room for them to be next to me. If I slept on the couch they would absolutely try to sleep with me at all costs. A dog bed would not deter them. Even when they're asleep they're waiting for my movements
