Pet Sitting in Chestnut Hill

About: I have Boston terriers, cats, goats, an a donkey. I grew up on a small farm. I have rested animals from birth and up. I'm a mother of 6, with 11 grandkids and 2 great grandkids. I'm a 10 month employee for West Wilkes High school as a bus driver and custodian. I'm free most of the summer since I'm only a 10 month Wilkes County School employee. When school is in I work from 6-8am and 11:30-5:30pm. I live on a 10 acre small farm that I grew up on. My dogs have a fenced in yard and a doggie door. They have their own bedroom for when we are away from home and sleep with me at night. They are feed twice a day and have a monthly barkbox subscription.

About: What truly sets me apart as a pet sitter is my lifelong love for animals and the deep-rooted experience that comes from growing up surrounded by them. From a young age, I’ve cared for a variety of pets—big and small—which taught me not only responsibility but how to connect with animals on a personal level. Over the years, I’ve become the go-to sitter for friends, family, and others who have reached out, trusting me to care for their pets as if they were my own. My approach is always compassionate, attentive, and tailored to each animal’s unique needs, providing both pets and their people with comfort and peace of mind. As a graduate student, I have a flexible and well-structured schedule that allows me to dedicate quality time to pet sitting. I can be available for regular visits, walks, feedings when needed. Pet sitting brings me joy and a sense of balance. It’s a meaningful way for me to stay active, reduce stress, and do something I genuinely love alongside my studies. I care for pets with plenty of affection, playtime, and a calm, structured routine that helps them feel secure while away from their owners. When caring for pets at a client’s home, I make sure to follow their established routines closely, keeping things consistent and stress-free. I always communicate clearly with pet parents, provide updates, and treat every animal with the same care and respect I give my own.

About: I have had animals all my life. I grew up with four dogs, a cat, and a bird! We rescued all of them and gave them a loving home full of attention and all the treats they could ever want. I would also pet sit for friends every so often. Because of this, I have learned a lot about everything that comes with being a pet owner. I now live here in North Carolina with my boyfriend and we have our sweet cat, Pretzel. I currently have a full-time job in West Jefferson. I am available for drop ins anytime during the weekends and late afternoon/nights during the week. I can do drop ins and do whatever I need to do to care for your pet whether that's playing with them, feeding them, or changing the litter. I can also walk dogs as well!

About: Two dogs, golden retriever & chihuahua, two totally different temperaments! I will treat yours like my own! Mine are my children & are veryyyy spoiled! Evenings beginning at 5:30pm & weekends any time during day or evening. Can be flexible during work week as well when needed. Happy to help! I have a fenced in backyard with lots of room to run and play. Plenty of water giving when they stay outside too. Lots of toys!

About: I've had many years of experience between keeping my own animals as well as house sitting or just dropping in to check on your pets! I also offer the same service for reptiles! Preferably would like to service closer to Wytheville but will travel in some cases I currently have a full time job but I am looking to quit so I can focus on doing nails and going to school part time for that but I need a side hustle! I live in a school bus so I don't really have tons of room to take care of pets there but I am more than willing to come to their homes, I'd prefer that the pet is comfortable as possible and I cannot stay overnight in a home but I can stay as long as needed to make sure the care requirements are met

About: I’ve taken care of dogs for a few years now. I understand your dogs are your babies so taking care of them and modifying to their needs is one of my biggest priorities! I have a lot of free time to take care of your fur babies! The summer weather is perfect for walks! My schedule is very flexible, I would love to plan some meet & greets in order to meet you and your animals! In my home, your dogs would be like a part of my everyday routine. I would prefer to care for them in their own environment of course!

About: I have experience in taking care of dogs and cats of all ages and with taking care of multiple pets at once. For four years, I have walked dogs, performed "check-ins", and house-sat for multiple local families in the area. I also have experience with caring for physically disabled dogs and giving dogs oral medication. I am a recent graduate from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment and am looking for part time work in pet care and sitting. About: I have taken care of several types of animals including rabbits, dogs, cats, fish, and hamsters. I have personally had a rabbit named Buttercup who lived until she was 13 years old and currently have two dogs and two cats. I have taken care of others animals over the past decade and some change including walking dogs, popping in throughout the day to provide attention and meals, and boarded at my own home. I am currently an occupational therapy student at Emory and Henry and am in my last semester. I am free Thursday-Sunday as I work virtually for my capstone project. When I am coming into your home to care for your beloved pet I ensure I am being respectful of your area and keeping it tidy. At my own home I have a big yard with plenty of space for animal to run around and have fun. I have two dogs of my own as well as two cats, all of which are friendly with other animals.

About: I have many yrs experience with Dogs and many other exotic animals care and well being. I have an education in training and experience in medical assessment of you furry friends. My goal is not just keeping your pet safe but also be engaging and fun for them I am currently in the long process of new certification classes that are set by my own scheduling. So I can customize my schedule for my customers. Personalized one on one care. I can only house dogs that are friendly with other dogs, I stive to provide custom care that fits your needs and your pets. I have a background in emergency medical care and animal health assessment(so if any issues do arise I am highly qualified to deal with them) also I have lots of room outdoors for exercise and enrichment. My w9rk partner Alfie is cordial and a great companion for some good positive Socialization.

About: For my house sitting experience I’ve had to stay overnight at my uncles house and my cousins many times and watch their dogs while they are gone, I’ve been doing that for probably 5 years. I’ve also house sat for friends and other families and taken care of their dogs (and cats!) for quite awhile. For dog walking I’ve always had dogs, I’m good at walking them but I’d prefer (especially) for bigger dogs to be trained for walking so They are not just pulling against me the whole walk. For drop in, I’ve had to do them for years whether your dog is on a specific schedule like my dads or not I can play with them feed them and any other specific doggy request. Same for cats, I’ve always had cats as well and I’ve never met one who didn’t like me :) I’m not professionally trained as I have not taken any classes. but I know how to help both choking cats and dogs! Or know how to help if any other emergency might happen. I'm currently only working part time so I have plenty of extra time to come walk with or just check in on your puppies or kitties! I’m always very careful to listen to pets body language and the boundaries they set for people they aren’t fully familiar with (especially cats) I won’t force your beloved pet to do anything they don’t want to do and I will guarantee I’m giving 110% to your animal anytime I see them :)

I have two dozen 5-star reviews from this site and others. Where to start? Three dogs with 11 legs, 50+ cats, 2 alpacas, 7 parrots, farm critters— Out of space! What else? And…um…Ack! Estates, hovels, and— Being retired from the rat race, I now sit full-time. That means I’m there 24/7 to give your Fur/Feather/Scale Babies and home love and care The safety of your pets/home are of utmost importance, so a schedule and information list are essential. I prefer arriving early to go over everything. Being retired, sitting pets and homes is my only focus. Actually, available within a four-hundred mile radius, all the way to the coast, the big city, and everywhere in between! I make certain your home and your pets are in the same pristine condition as when I arrived. The pets (who have lips) will be smiling. Of course, they will be even more exciting to see you again. The house would be smiling, if not for that whole lips thing.

About: I have been fostering & training animals for rescues and shelters since 2009. I enjoy fostering because it helps more animals in the long run, I am great with animals that are unruly & have vet technician experience, so you can be sure your animal is in great hands when at my home or in my care, I love cats, dogs & caged animals & will go above and beyond for them. I can do things that most animal caretakers aren’t comfortable with, such as administer medications, light training, cleaning, bathing, grooming, even go pet shopping if needed! I will treat your babies as my own 😊 I have a huge yard & I live a few miles from a park with a walking trail. I own my business and work from home on my own schedule so I can work around my animal care schedule if needed. I have a 6 month old but can and will refrain from contact if needed. I have pets of my own as well as fosters at any given time, however my house is split level and plenty big enough to separate my animals from visiting one's to ensure safety.
