About: I’ve been taking care of pets since I was in high school! I used to joke that my second job was pet sitting since I do it so frequently for families in my community! I work 8-5, Monday - Friday. I can take care of the animals in the morning, lunch-time and after work into the evening. I have lots of flexibility. About: Ever since I was a little girl I knew working with animals was what I wanted to do. I started with family members pets, then moved on to friends and friends of friends now I have lots of experience. I grew up on a farm, raising farm animals, participating in 4h, and racing horses. I’ve owned almost every small pet you could have while growing up. I take my care with animals extremely serious and I take pride in the exceptional care I can proved for animals. Pets have a huge soft spot in my heart and there is nothing more I’d rather do in life. I have experience with reptiles as well as administering medications. I work a lot of odd hours so early mornings or late nights doesn’t bother me! I have a fenced in yard and a friendly fur baby to keep your pets company. I don’t do crates unless requested by the owner. I’m home with your pet 24/7 so no need to worry about that. I have lots of toys and treats and I always separate during feeding time. I have a separate area your pet can be alone if they are nervous and need a calm environment!

About: I currently have four very healthy dogs of my own and love them very much. I'm experienced working with aggressive dogs and doggie first aid. I really love all kinds of dogs. Absolutely love working with large dogs. I love taking dogs to the dog park as well! I have experience raising six different puppies. I also have experience with fear biting dogs. I know how to handle minor injuries such as broken nails and stopping bleeding. Overall, dogs are by far the favorite of all the animals I have ever I owned. I am very much an animal person over all though and love animals over all. I provide lots of attention and love for any animals in mt car as well! Please consider if you want your dog to be in excellent care! I am currently available full time to provide any pet care services. I am happy to spend as much time as possible with your pet. When taking care of your pet it is important the dog is comfortable. I like to let a dog warm up to me before petting or approaching.

That means at times, my husband will be working on our house renovations for a couple hours in the evenings. We renovating slowly and will keep boarding dogs in mind when doing so. There will be times where drywall is being replaced, new flooring is being laid, and renovations will result in a louder home environment. We work as fast as our budget allows so it's not a daily occurrence. If you have any questions or concerns, I'll be happy to address them during out meet and greet. *We our whole backyard fenced in with a doggy pool, toys and a cement pad to sunbathe on. *Our village is walkable so short walks are available if requested. *Non-reactive dogs can be bathed for an additional service fee. (All dogs will be spot cleaned if muddy conditions cause dirty paws and bellies.) *Dogs must be friendly with other dogs and cats. Some growling and barking is normal during the first couple stays but if either of our pets just don't seem to mesh well, I will suggest alternative care for the safety of our pets. *Unaltered males and females are allowed. If females are in heat, please provide a diaper with pads as well. *Your pets are at home with us which means, they're welcome on our furniture. I'm currently working from home building my business. My availability is: Monday: Overnights with pm drop off Tuesday: Daycare and Overnights Wednesday: Daycare Only Thursday: Unavailable Friday: Overnights with pm drop off Saturday: Daycare and Overnights Sunday: Daycare no overnights *I can kennel for the safety of your pets if needed during times I'm away from home on short trips. *I can carry over rules you have in place at your home to mine. Examples: Sleeping in kennel, not jumping on furniture, etc. *I'm vet trained in administering oral, topical, and vaccinations when needed. Example: Diabetic Insulin Shots. *If your pet has storm anxiety, we will camp out in the bathroom with soothing music until the storm passes. *I will not leave dogs unsupervised while playing outside, or with other pets.

“I cannot recommend Emily highly enough. My 15lb anxious terrier/dox mix was so relaxed being picked up that I have a feeling he believed the stay with Emily and her family to be a second home situation. She has a beautiful, safe set up that looks like a doggo resort. It can be years between instances when we leave our pup with anyone and what we tried once for just two days with a nearby kennel was definitely not for him. With Emily he was very very clearly loved and cared for in a way that worked for him. The stay with Emily was incredibly positive for him and he found his people in her home. He was calm as a cucumber and not at all annoyed with us upon reuniting. He has been himself since coming home, no extra stress or out of normal behavior which means his stay was fantastic. He has a small medical issue that can be ignited with stress (which even happens with us when we travel with him) that he did not return with so that is a pretty outward, objective indication of his state of comfort the entire week. Emily has tremendous knowledge and understanding of different dog personalities which I am sure helped his stay be so successful. I only wish that we were closer so we could avail ourselves of Emily's services more often. I would start planning weekends away at the drop of a hat. I am so glad we took a chance with Rover again (after not using the services for quite awhile) and found Emily!”
