About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 11, starting with family and close friends. I’ve now been caring for pet for 11 years! I absolutely love animals, meeting new ones and caring for them! I learned from working under the groomers at a pet salon and pet store how to brush, trim paw pads, and cut animal nails correctly. I now do my cats nails at home! I also know how to administer medication with a needle, as my dog had diabetes. I am in college typically from 8:30 to 3:30, with some days finishing earlier or later. I have the mornings before class, the breaks in between classes, and after classes to care for pets. I have an office job, but I often work from home, so that doesn’t affect my ability to check on pets. I find out any and all information regarding the pets and the home, and then confirm the information the day I start. I send daily updates, usually with photos!

About: I have owned 3 cats and fostered one cat, and I have also lived in homes with dogs and enjoy small dogs especially. I like to focus my attention on rescue cats and pride myself on breaking down barriers with animals by getting to know them individually and reading their signals for affection, playtime, and care. My special skills are with high-needs cats. I own a cat named Talon with epilepsy who is a rescue, and my previous cat, Simba, who is no longer with us, suffered from HCM. My current cat Talon suffers from behavioural issues and seizures and I have gotten him to really open up through his complicated health history. I also have had a lot of experience in dealing with kittens, as I had my own cat, Simba, from six weeks old, and never left his side. However, I do love a beautiful pure-breed cat or dog and had a Siamese as a child, whom I carried to the grocery store in my jacket pocket. What sets me apart is my patience towards animals and my ability to read and show empathy to challenging animals. I am currently a full-time student studying Social Work online and can do pretty much anytime a bus route is present. I don't have many commitments besides the care of my own animals. I live downtown and have proximity to most places, being on the 10 route as well, within walking distance of the centre city. I can provide daily litter cleaning, feeding, and watering, and basic medication administration. I am also willing to take them outside or spend time with them playing and providing them with comfort while their pawrents are not home.

About: I enjoy going walks myself, and it's even better to have an animal with you for company - whether that's just going around the block or a multi-hour trek. I have plenty of experience in safely navigating city streets, trails, and parks; I've been around animals as long as I can remember, and have a lot of fond memories of them. I have a fairly open schedule, and I can be available to care for and to walk your pet throughout the week and on weekends I am a very adaptable person, and I can easily accommodate the specific needs of your pet in your home. I live near and am familiar with a variety of trail networks ideal for walks.

About: Having grown up with two lovely Maltese/Shi Tsu crosses, I cannot imagine life without fur babies! They are an absolute gift and treasured members of the family. Growing up in BC I was spoiled with an abundance of nature, and some of my best memories are long walks with my dogs in my hometown of Kamloops and on Vancouver Island. After moving to Toronto and completing my BFA, I travelled for several years and my connection to all kinds of animals grew. I eventually made my way to the opposite coast, found my dream home and partner and have now settled in St. John’s. I have a senior Schnoodle named Butters who is my baby, and along with my partner and his two sweet cats Rufus and Minnie, have a beautiful happy family. I have a flexible schedule and I now want more daily interaction with the animals that give me such joy! Currently working sporadically on contracts as a freelance contemporary dancer. My senior boi has separation anxiety so I am currently mostly a stay at home mom for him! It’s just about a full time job taking care of 3 fur babies at home, but I wouldn’t have it any other way! For house calls I will spend as much time as needed, I love just hanging out and engaging with animals.

About: I have been taking care of my own dogs since I was in 6th grade and have additional pet-sitting experience for several family members and friends. I absolutely LOVE all types of pets - big or small - and want to ensure your fur-baby feels safe, happy, and loved in your absence. I am a certified primary/elementary teacher with NLSchools, meaning I have full availability during the summer to give your fur-baby the best possible care while you are away. Following the end of summer vacation, I will be gone during the day (M-F) for periods of up to 8 hours. I will do my best to accommodate any/all of your pet’s needs. I understand that every dog is different and may require special/additional care. About: I started dog sitting at the age of 11 for family members, and now I’ve been caring for pets for others for the past 12 years and I absolutely love it! I know how much pets mean to their families, so I always show up with the same care and attention I’d want for my own! I’m reliable, attentive, and always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away! I currently work a part time job Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. I’m available for walking services most afternoons, evenings, and on weekends. For house sitting, I can stay at the home full time outside of my work hours, and depending on the location, I’m happy to stop by midday as well! Pet care fits into my routine because I genuinely enjoy it, and I make it a point to be as flexible and reliable as possible for each pet’s needs. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I do my best to maintain their usual routine so they feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away! I make sure they’re fed on schedule, get plenty of playtime, walks, and I also make sure their space stays clean and that they’re getting the love and attention they’re used to. Every pet is different, so I always follow any specific instructions to keep them happy and stress-free!

About: I am very experienced with puppies, adults, and senior dogs, as well as cats and birds. I am quite comfortable administering medications and providing training and playtime. We have had our current dog since she was a puppy and took on a lot of the training responsibilities. I used positive reinforcement through pets and words of encouragement, treats, and clicker training. I have also taken care of a senior dog who required medications, physical support, and diapering. I have experience with large breed dogs as our previous dog was a Great Pyrenees who required regular walks, grooming, and playtime. We have had our 16-year-old cat since he was born. He is diabetic but is no longer insulin dependent. His diabetes is now managed with his specific diet, so I understand the importance of sticking to a plan and schedule. I am currently working part-time and would love to spend some time with your fur babies - snuggling on the couch or placing tug of war. I never walk dogs off-leash unless it's at an owner-approved dog park and inside an enclosed area. I always walk on the sidewalks where possible and I stay on the side of traffic. I am always cautious when entering a house with cats to ensure no escapes occur on my watch. I always follow the owner's training and house rules to the best of my ability. The pets' safety is my first priority and when unsure of what to do, I use common sense or I will call the owner for direction.

About: I've been surrounded by pets for as long as I can remember, and they've always held a special place in my heart. At the age of 7, I welcomed my first dog, Luna, and since then, I've discovered a new kind of love. Back home, I have two French poodles and, five beloved cats. Moving to St. John's has left me missing their companionship dearly. Becoming a pet sitter is my way of reconnecting with that joy and love. I'll provide professional care and companionship for your dog during the hours that you can't be there. I enjoy outside as much as your pet does so your dog will have plenty of exercises. I'm a loving and caring individual and have plenty of patience with dogs. I can accept dogs of different sizes and personalities. I am a very responsible person especially when it comes to animals as I have my own 2 years old husky and if you have a look on my galary you will find dogs from different sizes i took care of. Your dog will be treated with love and care and will enjoy every minute with me. I enjoy outdoors so much such as hiking, running, and walking so your dog will have much excercise. We go to parks or we go to trails. I have a spacious unfenced backyard and a dog at home so your dog will have company and someone to play with all day. I will be able also to crate your dog if needed.

About: We're a very experience dog family with almost 50 years of combined pet experience. Our pack currently comprises of 3 rescues, Clementine (11 yo female Black Lab) , Chuba (3 year old Female Corgi) and Giornk (3 year old Jack Russel) We have been fostering dogs for years and have had dozens of dogs come through this house so everyone is quite used to new smells and faces of all sizes. Our pack is so easy going and just wants to play - your dog will feel right at home. We also have an 8 year old daughter who wants to become a vet and has an unconditional love for all dogs - your dog is guaranteed to get lots of love. Lori is at home full time so there will always be someone home with your dog (on top of our entire pack of 3 dogs) We have a fully fenced in yard where the dogs spend a considerable amount of time just being dogs. We also live right next to the walking trails in Mount Pearl and go on several walks per day.

About: There’s nothing more pure than puppy (and kitty) love! I’ve been caring for my cockapoo, Daisy for just over 12 years. She has epilepsy so I have experience with giving dogs prescribed medications as well as all the love and hugs they need! I also have been caring for a 4 year old Corgi, Olive. Shes full of energy and needs long walks and attention. I love all dog breads and would be willing to teach your pup tricks and basic behavioural commands on our walks together (would require treats to be provided). My dog Daisy loves to go on long off leash walks so I would be willing to take your dog to a nearby dog park so they can have all the freedom to run and get their exercise in (preferably enclosed dog parks). I would love the chance to get to know your pup! I’m currently working part time but plan on making your pup a priority even with my work schedule. I understand the importance of being attentive to your pet while you’re unable to be there. My dog Daisy has epilepsy so I have plenty of experience with oral medication, vet visits, and symptom tracking. Please let me know if your fuzzy friend has any special medications and I’d be happy to administer them.
