About: i’ve taken care of dogs and i’m comfortable with any animal. I’ve done it for a couple years for family and friends. To feed and walk them and take them outside and play with them. Also have done overnight babysitting for dogs. I do not work in the summer and I am mostly available all days during the week and weekends. It will not be problem to find time during the summer at my client’s house. I would make sure if I were to take them on walks I would look at my environment outside and for safety, I would ask the owner where there animal is comfortable going to go on walks

Nancy took great care of my cat Ziny while I was away. She admitted she wasn’t a cat person but the photos of her and Ziny told a different story. I appreciated the detailed daily report and pictures. I could tell from the photos he was getting lots of cuddles and loving. 😻

About: I've been around animals my whole life, and I love taking dogs for walks. In my free time, I also enjoy horseback riding and walking dogs for SPCA, I've even babysat a friend's hamster. Going for walks and enjoying the outdoors is a passion of mine. I'm looking for extra income in addition to my job, so I'm offering dog-walking services during my free time throughout the week. I'll do my best to accommodate your needs, whether it's walking your dog around your neighborhood or taking them to a nearby dog park if required. I have my own transportation, so I'm flexible when it comes to your location. I'm currently working full-time, and my schedule varies slightly from week to week. Feel free to check my availability. That being said, if there's a day that's not listed, please don't hesitate to ask, as things could change! When dog walking, my primary focus is on the well-being and happiness of the dog. I start by ensuring the dog is securely leashed and comfortable with their equipment. During the walk, I choose a safe route, preferably the one that the dog knows, taking into account the dog's pace and preferences. I pay close attention to their body language, allowing for breaks when needed. Socialization with other dogs and people is carefully managed, and I always clean up after them. Clear communication with the dog owner is a priority, providing updates on the walk's progress. My goal is to provide a enjoyable and safe experience for the dog, promoting their physical and mental health.

I’m a passionate animal lover based in Moncton, living in a cozy 2-bedroom apartment with my partner — who’s just as obsessed with animals as I am. Together, we love creating a safe, loving, and playful environment for any furry guest that comes through our door. I have experience caring for pets of all sizes and personalities — from gentle giants like Rottweilers to tiny, sassy Shih Tzus and energetic puppies. I understand that every pet is different, and I’m always happy to adjust to their unique needs, routines, and quirks. Whether your pet loves long walks, extra playtime, or just curling up for a cuddle, I’m here to make sure they feel comfortable, happy, and at home. What I Offer: • Cozy, pet-friendly 2-bedroom apartment for boarding or daycare • Experienced with all sizes & breeds: from large dogs to tiny pups • Patient, loving care for shy, anxious, or high-energy pets • Daily photo/video updates so you’re always in the loop • Long walks, playtime, or chill company — whatever your pet prefers • Two animal lovers = double the attention and snuggles! Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Pet Sitting in Shediac on Rover is $26.75 per visit (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Pet Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Pet Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 92 sitters on Rover for Pet Sitting in Shediac. About 92% of Shediac sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you’re planning ahead for holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

A pet sitter can provide focused care sessions, help your pet’s routine stay on track, or keep you updated on your pet’s mood and energy levels.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or travelling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer poop breaks during a Shediac stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. For daytime services like walking and drop-ins, you can also request sitters to send a report card with every visit.

Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover based on what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:

  • Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
  • House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
  • Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.

Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Shediac choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
