About: I know the essentials of dog care. I’ve lived in a home with a dog for a little over 12 years as an adult. I had the privilege of having my first pup Cooper, raising and training him. From this experience I learned some essential on senior dog care. He requires specialist veterinary care. I have also learned a lot from a family member who works in animal medicine I’ve gone through the incredibly cute puppy phase of training both of my pups. I use positive reinforcement always. Both my dogs thrived with this training and turned out well mannered but still have fun. With any dog I’ve had or looked after, I know exercise is essential. Of course the amount is breed dependant. The two pups I’ve had are high energy breeds, a husky shepherd mix and now a black Labrador. The saying indeed does ring true “a tired dog is a happy dog” I am currently available during the days and early evenings. I have a vehicle but live outside of HRM. It’s best for both people to have advanced notice to insure I can accommodate the request. I care for every pet with patience, kindness, and attention to their needs. Just like people no two dogs are the same. I would want to speak with you to make sure I understand what your furry friend requires to make it as stress free for them. I provide a safe, comfortable environment with plenty of love, supervision, exercise, and positive attention. I make sure your dog feels secure, happy, and well cared for while they’re with me.

“Barbara is a pure delight. I have never had anyone look after my house and cats and I heard about Rover. I saw Barbara's profile and I liked the fact she loves cats. Immediately any worries were eliminated when she arrived and we went over things and I was able to go away for a week and not worry about the cats or the house. She took wonderful care of everything and followed strict instructions about dietary needs, she's more of a cat expert than I am. I think my cats miss her! Lol. They got lots of attention if they wanted it. I would hire Barbara again in a heartbeat.”
