“J’ai eu une excellente expérience avec Audrey comme gardienne pour mon chien. Elle a fait preuve d’un grand professionnalisme, de douceur et d’attention. On sent immédiatement qu’elle aime les animaux, et mon chien s’est rapidement attaché à elle. À mon retour, mon chien était heureux, en confiance et visiblement très bien traité. Je recommande Audrey sans hésitation à toute personne qui cherche quelqu’un de fiable et attentionné pour s’occuper de son animal.”

“This was a wonderful first experience for Leia. As first-time users, we really appreciated receiving photos and updates - it gave us peace of mind knowing she was in a loving home and being so well cared for. Thank you, Anh and Quang!”

About: My partner and I have been caring for dogs together for years through Rover, building a strong track record of happy pets and glowing reviews on his profile. Now that we have moved to Montreal, I am starting my own account so local dog parents can book us directly. Same team, same care, same love. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted us to walk, feed, bathe, and keep their pets happy and comfortable. We also foster dogs and are actively involved with a rescue organization here in Montreal, so we are experienced with dogs of all backgrounds, temperaments, and needs. We are excited to bring that same warmth and dedication to pups here. We treat every dog like our own. We work as a team, so your dog always has someone around. We are available for boarding, drop-in visits, and walks, and we will make sure your pup gets plenty of attention, outdoor time, and love every single day. We both work from home :) We live in a pet friendly apartment with a balcony, giving your pup fresh air and a change of scenery throughout the day. Our home is calm, clean, and set up with your dog’s comfort and safety in mind. We have no pets of our own, so your dog gets our full, undivided attention. We are happy to follow any routines, dietary needs, or rules you have in place to make your pup feel right at home.
“Carolina & Francisco B. will be by far our first choice when we need a dog sitter. It was a first time home away for our son (Ranga, a 9 months old toy poodle). He literally had a great time. He made two new friends, Cleo and Lola:) During that time, she kept sending us the text messages, pictures and videos about Ranga, eliminating the stress of leaving our dog behind for the first time. We would be happy to use the services again.”

“Perfect place to leave my big doodle. Didn't get a chance to meet Vicky but Graham was great. Cocoa loved him. They have a ginormous great yard with wonderful sniffing opportunities. I will definitely go back.”

“We trust Ruth 100% with our little Holly. Ruth is quick to reply to messages, cares very much about the well being of the dogs she minds, and it’s so kind. I can’t recommend her enough!”

“Encore une fois, Bookiebest revenu fatigué et heureux d'avoir joué avec Russell et les chiens sous sa garde. Il est revenu très propre et il n'a jamais été malade, contrairement à parfois quand il revient de chez d'autres gardiens. On reviendra souvent chez Russell. 😁”

“Finnlay is a reactive rescue dog and yesterday was the 1st time he attended doggie daycare for 6 hours. I was nervous leaving him and how things would go but Steven put my mind at ease. I received a video and a photo of Finn. Steven even introduced Finn to his own dog and all went well. Finn is not keen on other dogs but it was all good. I was very impressed. I will book more time with Steven soon so Finn will feel comfortable when I eventually go away on vacation.”

“Camille and Kevin were absolutely amazing and took such good care of our chihuahua during the day while I was away at a conference!! They were super communicative, friendly, and even went out of their way to pick up and drop her off! Cannot recommend enough — feel so lucky/grateful to have found them!”

“Melissa was super welcoming from the start. During the course of the day she sent me great pictures of Peaches with her new friend, Macy the poodle. I felt so good knowing she was meeting and getting along with others on her first day of doggy daycare. Best of all, when Peaches tweaked her ankle Melissa graciously and without hesitation took care of the vet consultation fees. I can understand why she comes so highly recommended.”

About: Hi! My name is Véronique, and I’m a true animal lover. I have two cats of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust to care for your pet while you’re away. J’habite une maison dans un quartier paisible de Saint-Lazare, à proximité de plusieurs endroits parfaits pour les promenades. “Ivonne did a great job taking care of our little Anya. She kept me up to date on the walks she took with our puppy and sent us some pictures. After the first day, Anya would get very excited when we approached Ivonne's house and would bolt straight out of the car towards her home as soon as we arrived. Anya always looked very happy when I picked her up and would be dead tired for the rest of the evening a sign that she played alot during the day. I would recommend Ivonne to anyone looking for a great sitter and would consider calling on her again in a heartbeat.”

“Sondos is super chill and easy going and managed Peaches beautifully even while watching her own baby. I appreciated her easy going nature and Peaches seemed super relaxed from the get go.”

“Sri Satya was wonderful with Ollie! She was warm, welcoming, and made us feel completely comfortable leaving him in her care. It was clear that she genuinely loves dogs, and Ollie had an amazing time playing with Fiji and Bruno. We really appreciated the updates and the care she provided. We would definitely recommend her and wouldn’t hesitate to book with her again!”

- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's leash and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalized care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Ormstown commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in QC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 92% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
