“This was a wonderful first experience for Leia. As first-time users, we really appreciated receiving photos and updates - it gave us peace of mind knowing she was in a loving home and being so well cared for. Thank you, Anh and Quang!”

“Ruth was lovely! She was quick to respond to messages, flexible with our very late drop off time 🤪, and so kind towards our anxious little dachshund, Holly. Thanks, Ruth! Will definitely reach out next time we need someone to care for our dog when we’re in Montreal.”

I have also trained dogs for many years now .family and friends rely on me to pet sit for them all the time as I am the person they trust with their fur babies. I am currently on Matt leave with my 3rd baby, I am home full time making me fully available to dog sit and give lots of time . I have a fully fenced yard and a fully dog proof home . My house is big enough to be able to separate your dog if they do not like other dogs . I have dogs that can entertain and keep your dog company and kids that absolutely love dogs and have so much love to give
“Encore une fois, Bookiebest revenu fatigué et heureux d'avoir joué avec Russell et les chiens sous sa garde. Il est revenu très propre et il n'a jamais été malade, contrairement à parfois quand il revient de chez d'autres gardiens. On reviendra souvent chez Russell. 😁”

“Carolina is such a nice person, Gucci loved his stay and he played and enjoyed so much his long day with Carolina. She always kept me up to date with information and pictures!”

“Amazing dog sitter! Very caring, reliable, and attentive. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. I would definitely recommend them and use their services again! 🐶❤️( From Toronto )”

About: Hello. I was a registered Vet Tech for 10years. So, I am able to administrator medications via mouth or injections if required during your pets stay. I had owned cats, dogs, rats, hamsters, etc. I love animals and can't imagine not having them in my life. I work full time from home. So pet care is easy. Especially with a fully fenced back yard. As mentioned, being previously a registered Vet Tech I can do care that most people cannot. I have a fenced yard with a friendly dog who has lived with cats his whole life, but do not have any cats at present.
“Graeme is amazing with Cocoa! Took him for a really long walk today and played with him. Cocoa loves him and I feel really good about leaving my dog there. I know he will be happy and that he is in good hands.”

“We booked Alex for a doggy daycare session for our pup as a kind of “test run” to boarding him with them. Alex and Munch passed with flying colours! Alex is patient, curious and passionate about dogs and their well being (psychological and physical). We have no doubt that our skittish husky felt comfortable in their care. No hesitation to booking with Alex and Munch again.”

About: Hi there! My name is Eva and I currently work in HR within the Edtech space. Outside of work, I'm usually cuddling up with my adorable 2-year-old cat, Peanut. I'd love to help you care for your fluffy companion while you're away! Whether it's playtime, feeding, or just some TLC, I'm here to ensure your beloved companion feels right at home while you're out. I work 9-5 in a fully remote environment, so I'm usually at home and will be close by your pet. I'd love to take your dog out for walks throughout the day. I live in an apartment complex that is gated. I'm happy to work with you on any special care or requirements that may be needed so that your pet feels safe and secured at all times.
“Arianne is one of the best dog carers out there! Cinnamon is prone to anxiety but she comes home happy and relaxed—which speaks volumes for us. Arianne is so lovingly gentle and patient, yet firm in sticking to instructions and keeping Cinnie safe, healthy, and happy. A great balance. Beyond the care itself, Arianne is communicative, punctual, and sends cute photos and updates throughout. We’ve been working with her for about 6 months now and absolutely love her quality of service! Highly recommend!”

“Absolutely reliable. Responds really fast and clear. My dog looks really happy in the pictures. His place is very central to different parts of Montreal, close to downtown, close to midtown.”

“We left our dog for the doggy daycare, he was very well taken care of. Maki kept us up to date throughout the day with messages and pictures to tell us that everything was going great. She also responds quickly to her messages before and during the booking so we felt reassured with the feedback”

“Youki est tres heureuse avec Kara, Gabrielle et Finn. Et nous avons entièrement confiance en elles! Le fait que Finn soit à l’aise avec Youki nous a confirmé qu’elle était au bon endroit!”

“We left our young, energetic puppy with Genevieve for puppy daycare and she was extremely nice and resourceful. She was also very responsive, and we appreciated the updates.”

About: Since the age of 8 years old our household always had a pet. I had guinea pigs growing up, birds, fish and then we got our dog that we had for 14 years. I currently have a guinea pig that I rescued from the SPCA. I'm self employed and I am a super active person. I'm always walking on the canal during breaks to stay moving. In addition, my office is also my home base so I'm always around! I always approach animals softly, making sure they feel trusted by me. I know some dogs can be nervous and don't love meeting new people, so I always try to approach calmly until they know me!

Savina was my first experience on Rover and using a dog sitter and I couldn’t have asked for better! My dog doesn’t normally like anyone but he liked Savina right away. Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in QC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
