“Thank you Carolina and Francisco for taking care of our Dachshund. We received pictures and updates. Our dog had lots of fun, and was tired after all the playing.”

“Ruth was lovely! She was quick to respond to messages, flexible with our very late drop off time 🤪, and so kind towards our anxious little dachshund, Holly. Thanks, Ruth! Will definitely reach out next time we need someone to care for our dog when we’re in Montreal.”

“Choosing a dog sitter for your furry friend can be nerve-wracking, especially when your dog, like my 80lb Weimaraner, has specific needs such as separation anxiety and lots of energy to spend. Anh was able to accommodate my dog-sitting needs at the last minute which was truly helpful. What truly sets her apart is her absolute commitment to the dog's well-being. From the moment I dropped my dog at her place, she put emphasis on making him feel comfortable. Her gentle and well-trained 8-year-old dog set a calm and welcoming mood, helping my dog relax and acclimate almost instantly. She made me feel comfortable caring for Taffy, showcasing her previous experience handling big breeds, making me comfortable leaving Taffy under her care. She is incredibly attentive and provides regular feedback in the form of messages and photos, updating me on his behavior, mood, and activities, which provided incredible peace of mind. This wasn't just a quick check-in; it was insightful communication that showed how closely she was observing and caring for him. I can confidently say that booking with Anh was the best choice. If you are looking for a dog sitter who treats your dog like their own and provides professional, customized care—even for the biggest of pups—I wholeheartedly recommend her services.”

“Graeme is amazing with Cocoa! Took him for a really long walk today and played with him. Cocoa loves him and I feel really good about leaving my dog there. I know he will be happy and that he is in good hands.”

“Genevieve was such an angel! Harvey fell in love with her the moment he met her. Caring, attentive and reliable. Thank you Genevieve for all your help!”

About: Hello. I was a registered Vet Tech for 10years. So, I am able to administrator medications via mouth or injections if required during your pets stay. I had owned cats, dogs, rats, hamsters, etc. I love animals and can't imagine not having them in my life. I work full time from home. So pet care is easy. Especially with a fully fenced back yard. As mentioned, being previously a registered Vet Tech I can do care that most people cannot. I have a fenced yard with a friendly dog who has lived with cats his whole life, but do not have any cats at present.
“Emily is a wonderful sitter! She took great care of my dog Peanut, he had a blast in a secure and comfortable environement. Very experienced with dogs like him: i wd def recommend her :)”

“We needed daycare services on short notice and Pasqualina was available. Our Samoyed had a nice time, she was very welcoming and had a nice big yard for him to explore. We would happily use her services again!”

“Maki was wonderful - our Lily was right at home (so much so she didn’t rush to leave when picked up). Great communication, transparency and updates throughout the day. Would highly recommend!!”

About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have years of hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats. I work from home with a flexible schedule so I can walk your pet 3 times a day, feed them adjusting to their regular schedule, and make sure they get the potty breaks they need. About: My husband and I are lifelong dog lovers with two dogs of our own. We have plenty of experience caring for dogs of different sizes, personalities and energy levels. We provide a safe, loving and comfortable home where dogs are treated like part of our family. We understand how important it is to trust the person caring for your dog, so we follow each owner’s routine and instructions closely and make sure every dog gets plenty of attention, affection, playtime and care. Matt and I are both home throughout the day, so your dog will have plenty of company, attention and supervision. We love having dogs as part of our daily routine and can easily accommodate regular walks, outdoor breaks, playtime and plenty of cuddles. Since we’re home, we can also closely follow your dog’s usual feeding, exercise and rest schedule to make their stay feel as comfortable and familiar as possible. Your dog’s safety and comfort are our top priorities. With both of us home throughout the day, dogs receive lots of attention and supervision and are rarely left alone. We carefully follow each owner’s instructions and keep dogs securely leashed outside. We take the time to learn each dog’s personality, routine and needs so they can settle in and feel safe, relaxed and loved in our home.
“We are more than pleased with Rani taking care of Yogi. She’s very welcoming and an expert with dogs. Yogi felt comfortable right away. That’s a big achievement for Yogi who sometimes can be a little anxious. He also ate when his bowl was filled which means he felt comfortable. He loved playing in the backyard and Rani sent us pictures and texts for updates. We and Yogi are happy we found Rani and looking forward to his next play day 🐾”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Baie-D'Urfé
I left my dog in the care of Carolina and Francisco for the day without any hesitation. This was my first time leaving my boy with a sitter and I felt completely at ease! Thank you so much for taking such great care of Lucky and for keeping me updated throughout the day. Lucky looks forward to his next visit soon!

Savina was my first experience on Rover and using a dog sitter and I couldn’t have asked for better! My dog doesn’t normally like anyone but he liked Savina right away. I have 100% faith and trust in her with my dog and would recommend her to anyone, except on the days I need her! Thank you, Savina!

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Baie-D'Urfé commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in QC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
