“Encore une fois, Bookiebest revenu fatigué et heureux d'avoir joué avec Russell et les chiens sous sa garde. Il est revenu très propre et il n'a jamais été malade, contrairement à parfois quand il revient de chez d'autres gardiens. On reviendra souvent chez Russell. 😁”

“Ivonne did a great job taking care of our little Anya. She kept me up to date on the walks she took with our puppy and sent us some pictures. After the first day, Anya would get very excited when we approached Ivonne's house and would bolt straight out of the car towards her home as soon as we arrived. Anya always looked very happy when I picked her up and would be dead tired for the rest of the evening a sign that she played alot during the day. I would recommend Ivonne to anyone looking for a great sitter and would consider calling on her again in a heartbeat.”

About: Hello Everyone: My name is Meagan and I have owned animals for a majority of my life. I have owned several different breeds of dogs and have had cats all of my life. I have personally trained all of my dogs and know what it takes to ensure your fur baby is happy and healthy. I am also a registered early childhood educator; families trust me with their children, so you can trust me with your furry friends. I currently have two dogs and one cat. Jewels is my 10 year old spaniel mix; Pëpé is my 11 year old chihuahua, and Verne is my 3 year old cat. Since I have a child, two dogs and cat, meet and greets are mandatory. The reason I want to take up walking/care taking dogs and cats is to be more active, and give some freedom and relaxation to other dog owners who need it. I have a fenced yard, and animals are free to roam the upper level of my house. The cat has the basement to himself . Your dog's must be leash trained and don't pull. I am unable to watch dogs that have seperation anxiety. I am at home full time right now. The longest I am away from the house is 2.5 hours. My goal is to open a huge pet sitting location so that I can offer more services to those in need. My service prices depend on your needs. Base prices are yard outings only. If your dog needs long walks, my prices will go up to include 30 minutes or 60 minute walks. I let them have access to water at all times and will play with them. There is a baby here, so the dogs can stay around her if they are good with babies.
“Choosing a dog sitter for your furry friend can be nerve-wracking, especially when your dog, like my 80lb Weimaraner, has specific needs such as separation anxiety and lots of energy to spend. Anh was able to accommodate my dog-sitting needs at the last minute which was truly helpful. What truly sets her apart is her absolute commitment to the dog's well-being. From the moment I dropped my dog at her place, she put emphasis on making him feel comfortable. Her gentle and well-trained 8-year-old dog set a calm and welcoming mood, helping my dog relax and acclimate almost instantly. She made me feel comfortable caring for Taffy, showcasing her previous experience handling big breeds, making me comfortable leaving Taffy under her care. She is incredibly attentive and provides regular feedback in the form of messages and photos, updating me on his behavior, mood, and activities, which provided incredible peace of mind. This wasn't just a quick check-in; it was insightful communication that showed how closely she was observing and caring for him. I can confidently say that booking with Anh was the best choice. If you are looking for a dog sitter who treats your dog like their own and provides professional, customized care—even for the biggest of pups—I wholeheartedly recommend her services.”

“Just completed our first daycare with Janice. I trusted her with my 2 pound puppy for the day and i’m happy I did. She is very caring and attentive, you can tell she loves dogs very much. She adjusted her home for my dogs small size and needs. My puppy had a good day.”

“Graeme & Vicky werr able to accommodate my last minute booking which I really appreciated. Graeme welcomed my puppy Toby as if he were part of the family. My pup played all day in their spacious and secure garden, which he enjoyed. I received picture updates of him playing with his new friends. I would 100% recommend Graeme & Vicky and I'm already doing a rebook. Thanks guys!”

“J’ai eu une excellente expérience avec Audrey comme gardienne pour mon chien. Elle a fait preuve d’un grand professionnalisme, de douceur et d’attention. On sent immédiatement qu’elle aime les animaux, et mon chien s’est rapidement attaché à elle. À mon retour, mon chien était heureux, en confiance et visiblement très bien traité. Je recommande Audrey sans hésitation à toute personne qui cherche quelqu’un de fiable et attentionné pour s’occuper de son animal.”

“Steven is wonderful, he took excellent care of my french bulldog for 3 days in a row, made my dog feel confortable. He's good at keeping you updated with pictures and he's quick at responding texts. Five starts.”

About: Hello. I was a registered Vet Tech for 10years. So, I am able to administrator medications via mouth or injections if required during your pets stay. I had owned cats, dogs, rats, hamsters, etc. I love animals and can't imagine not having them in my life. I work full time from home. So pet care is easy. Especially with a fully fenced back yard. As mentioned, being previously a registered Vet Tech I can do care that most people cannot. I have a fenced yard with a friendly dog who has lived with cats his whole life, but do not have any cats at present.
“Amazing dog sitter! Very caring, reliable, and attentive. I felt completely comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. I would definitely recommend them and use their services again! 🐶❤️( From Toronto )”

“Camille and Kevin were absolutely amazing and took such good care of our chihuahua during the day while I was away at a conference!! They were super communicative, friendly, and even went out of their way to pick up and drop her off! Cannot recommend enough — feel so lucky/grateful to have found them!”

“Melissa is just the best- the only person I leave my puppy with! My puppy is totally in love with her so I know she’s getting tons of love while she’s there. Melissa always sends updates, pictures, and does such an amazing job with the special instructions. More than once my puppy has tried going back inside when it was time to leave! Clearly doggy heaven on earth.”

“Alessia & Giovanni were great! We needed some day-sitting and luckily they were able to accommodate our last minute request. Lexi was always excited to go over in the morning so we know she loved hanging out with them during the day. We will definitely use them again!”

Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Mercier commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in QC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines such as the DHPP or DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 91% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 88% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
