About: **English version coming :) Bonjour! Hello! 🐾 Hello! My name is Vanessa, and I speak both French and English. Feel free to contact me in whichever language you prefer! Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up surrounded by dogs and cats, which allowed me to build a strong bond with them from an early age. I know how difficult it can be to trust someone else with your beloved companion, and that's why I take that responsibility very seriously. With me, your pet will receive all the attention, affection, and care they deserve. You can have peace of mind knowing that I'll care for your companion as if they were part of my own family. 🌸 I'm also happy to care for other types of pets. As long as you provide me with their routine and any important instructions, I'll always do my best to meet their needs and ensure they're happy, healthy, and comfortable. I do have less experience with birds, rodents, and reptiles. That said, if you take the time to explain their care routine and specific needs, I'd be more than happy to look after them with the same dedication and attention. At home, animals are part of my everyday life! I have several pets of my own, and I also care for a colony of community cats. You can trust that I'm very comfortable caring for our four-legged friends and treating them with the love and respect they deserve! My goal is always the same: to provide kind, reliable, and high-quality care, giving your companion the love and reassurance they deserve, no matter what kind of pet they are.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Ormstown choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find walkers who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. On Rover:
- 85% of walkers can help with special care needs
- 90% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
