They also created a little “report card” upon our return so we knew exactly how and what Nicky was doing each day — such a thoughtful touch! They went above and beyond while caring for our dog. When Nicky had unexpected tummy issues, they handled it with such care and ease. We had peace of mind the entire time we were away. About: Our family provides pet care together, with myself and my husband, Vitaly, being fully responsible for all pets in our care. Our 11-year-old daughter is also deeply involved and passionate about animals. She has completed courses through the local Humane Society and is currently finishing a pet sitter course. She loves helping with walks, playtime, feeding, brushing, and giving animals lots of affection under our supervision. We also have another 8 year old daughter and 4 year old son. Animals are already a meaningful part of our family life, and we are planning to welcome our own dog within the next two years. In many ways, pet care has become a beautiful opportunity for us to spend time with dogs while continuing to learn and prepare as future dog owners ourselves. As a family, we enjoy learning about dog behaviour, training, and care, and even love watching Cesar Millan together. We have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals. We have completed both a 10-day farm sitting stay in the summer and a 7-day stay in the winter for close friends with a hobby farm that includes two dogs, a cat, goats, chickens, and other animals. Our responsibilities included daily feeding, animal care, cleaning, outdoor chores, and even milking goats. In addition, we have experience fostering dogs in our home, providing pet care for friends and neighbours, dog walking, and drop-in visits/check-ins for bathroom breaks and companionship. One summer, we also helped a neighbour with daily noon-time puppy check-ins for six weeks while they were at work. We are a calm, caring, outdoorsy family who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. We are best suited for dogs who are comfortable around children and reasonably calm around cats. We do have a cat in the home, though she has her own quiet spaces and hiding spots where she can retreat comfortably when needed. My husband and I both work as entrepreneurs mostly from home. We do sometimes leave the house for around 2-4 hrs for different activities with our homeschooled children. Sometimes we can bring dogs with us, sometimes they need to stay at the house. Our family like to take regular walks in the morning and evening so we don’t need to change our routine too much when we add a dog to the house. We have a fenced yard and three level house. We are extra tidy when dogs are around and are careful with leaving food out. We once had a dog eat a brick of butter from the counter…let’s say we learned our lesson!

“Sara took excellent care of our energetic Airedale terrier. He had multiple walks, a clean and spacious house, and large fenced backyard. She sent us plenty of photos and updates, and we knew that our dog was very well cared for. They have 2 friendly, non-aggressive dogs that played well with our dog. I highly recommend Sara and Cody for anyone who wants exceptional care for their dog.”

Richard was very welcoming and showed me some of the area of his home where my dog would be spending some time there. And the backyard was a nice big fenced in area!! About: I’ve been taking care of dogs since I was little. I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have an Australian Shepherd of my own along with a cat and a bunny! My dog would love to join all of the adventures but also understands that not everybody wants to be friends! I am currently work a part time job and have a flexible schedule! I am available mornings, afternoons and nights! This includes weekends as well. I have an unfenced yard and my dog is let outside by leash. This is compensated by MANY walks in a day and lots of adventures. My home is spacious and my dog is extremely welcoming and loves to make fur friends.

About: I’ve have had a dog my entire life, working with rescues and making them comfortable within my home. My currently dog Maxie is a rescue that came from a horrible background and wouldn’t even come to us the first day we met her. Now two years later she is the most snuggling loving girl. I’m currently working part time so I will have plenty of time for your dog, I go on plenty of walks and will have more then enough time to spend with your dog I have a fenced in yard and live close to walking trails. Your dog will have 3 loving dogs to play with, and watched at all times
