We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Susan and Brian! They made sure that our human and the furry family members were comfortable from the start. Communication was excellent. They made sure to keep us updated with regular messages and photos. They also created a little “report card” upon our return so we knew exactly how and what Nicky was doing each day — such a thoughtful touch! They went above and beyond while caring for our dog. When Nicky had unexpected tummy issues, they handled it with such care and ease. We had peace of mind the entire time we were away. About: Hi! I’m Olly! I’ve taken care of dogs for around 6 years. This started with casual dog walks for friends and turned into a passion of learning dog behaviours, needs and joys! Most recently, I have been fortunate to volunteer for the SPCA and provide longer term care for dogs that needed a safe foster home. From senior dogs to 4-week old puppies, I’ve loved every second. I care for dogs alongside my partner, Georgia, and together we know just how important the peace of mind for your pups whilst you are away. Having recently lost our beloved Standard Poodle, we have a lot of love to give and want to extend that into a safe, kind, patient and caring temporary space for your dogs! We are located 15mins outside of Penetanguishene, but also offer pick up/ drop off in Penetanguishene and Midland - just let us know if you would like this! For car journeys, we have a dog hammock on the backseat to provide your pups with a comfy ride! Currently, I am on a flexible, work-from-home schedule! This means there is lots of room for pet care, which we offer Monday through Sunday. We love long and short walks depending on your pups needs and lots of time to play and relax too. Right now we are a pet-fee, child-free, smoke-free home! We have a yard that is currently unfenced but closed in and closely monitored. We offer a long leash for outside time and a XL crate for some quiet inside time if needed. Dogs that are not crate-trained are welcome as well :)

“I couldn’t have asked for a better family to take care of my 10 year old Goldendoodle, Ginger! Anne and Andrew were amazing with caring for her while I was overseas for two months! Anne kept me in the loop with tons of updates and pictures. You could tell Ginger really grew attached to them, and she seemed so comfortable and happy there. She was spoiled and allowed up on the couch and even cuddled up in their bed! They also have an older Goldendoodle who’s the sweetest, and they got along so well. Their place is beautiful, safe, and perfect for dogs. I’d absolutely trust them with Ginger anytime and will definitely use them again. Anne and Andrew are truly wonderful dog sitters!”

About: Our family provides pet care together, with myself and my husband, Vitaly, being fully responsible for all pets in our care. Our 11-year-old daughter is also deeply involved and passionate about animals. She has completed courses through the local Humane Society and is currently finishing a pet sitter course. She loves helping with walks, playtime, feeding, brushing, and giving animals lots of affection under our supervision. We also have another 8 year old daughter and 4 year old son. Animals are already a meaningful part of our family life, and we are planning to welcome our own dog within the next two years. In many ways, pet care has become a beautiful opportunity for us to spend time with dogs while continuing to learn and prepare as future dog owners ourselves. As a family, we enjoy learning about dog behaviour, training, and care, and even love watching Cesar Millan together. We have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals. We have completed both a 10-day farm sitting stay in the summer and a 7-day stay in the winter for close friends with a hobby farm that includes two dogs, a cat, goats, chickens, and other animals. Our responsibilities included daily feeding, animal care, cleaning, outdoor chores, and even milking goats. In addition, we have experience fostering dogs in our home, providing pet care for friends and neighbours, dog walking, and drop-in visits/check-ins for bathroom breaks and companionship. One summer, we also helped a neighbour with daily noon-time puppy check-ins for six weeks while they were at work. We are a calm, caring, outdoorsy family who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. We are best suited for dogs who are comfortable around children and reasonably calm around cats. We do have a cat in the home, though she has her own quiet spaces and hiding spots where she can retreat comfortably when needed. My husband and I both work as entrepreneurs mostly from home. We do sometimes leave the house for around 2-4 hrs for different activities with our homeschooled children. Sometimes we can bring dogs with us, sometimes they need to stay at the house. Our family like to take regular walks in the morning and evening so we don’t need to change our routine too much when we add a dog to the house. We have a fenced yard and three level house. We are extra tidy when dogs are around and are careful with leaving food out. We once had a dog eat a brick of butter from the counter…let’s say we learned our lesson!

About: Animals have always been a huge part of my life. I’ve cared for cats, dogs, reptiles, rodents, and more since childhood. While also training several dogs in that time. My experience goes far beyond the basics. I worked at Pet Valu and also ran an exotic animal company where we bought and sold animals to individuals and businesses. This unique work meant we often housed a variety of animals with little notice and for short periods, requiring us to quickly build trust and provide excellent care. Though it was bittersweet to say goodbye, welcoming new animals into our space was always exciting. While only the dogs needed walks, every animal, from lizards to hamsters, received dedicated enrichment time outside of their enclosures each day. Occasionally, we even did in-home visits for clients, and I always enjoyed making animals feel safe and happy in their own environments. I truly believe animals provide us with unmatched emotional support and joy. I treat every pet like my own with love, patience, and attention to their individual needs. Pet care fits naturally into my life because I make my own work schedule and have a lot of flexibility, especially on weekends. This allows me to give each pet the time, attention, and care they deserve without rushing or distractions. Caring for animals doesn’t feel like a job to me, it’s something I genuinely enjoy and look forward to. I’m able to fully focus on making sure your pet feels safe, loved, and well cared for. When caring for pets in my clients' home, I prioritize their routine, comfort, and safety. I follow all care instructions closely, including feeding schedules, walk times, playtime preferences, and any medications or special needs. I always respect the client’s home, keeping things tidy, locking up securely, and treating the space as if it were my own. I understand that pets feel most at ease in familiar surroundings, so I make sure to create a calm and positive atmosphere, giving lots of affection, attention, and consistency to help them feel happy and secure while you're away.
