“Katherine is absolutely incredible, from the first time you meet her and her adorable daughter you can see how much they absolutely adore animals! I was constantly updated about rozie and the pictures and videos were absolutely heartwarming. Rozie can’t wait to go back to this incredible house with some incredible people. Do your animal a favour and see if you’ll be lucky enough for Katherine to look after your animal.”

“Jillian was amazing. Lots of updates with photos. Our Luna really seemed to love her. She also took Luna on some good hikes/walks as she requires lots of exercise. Will definitely use her again!!”

“Tyson loved his stay! We appreciated being able to leave him with Susan and Brian in their home and their wonderful care while away. Great communication/pics sent. Will definitely use again. Thank you!”

About: Our family provides pet care together, with myself and my husband, Vitaly, being fully responsible for all pets in our care. Our 11-year-old daughter is also deeply involved and passionate about animals. She has completed courses through the local Humane Society and is currently finishing a pet sitter course. She loves helping with walks, playtime, feeding, brushing, and giving animals lots of affection under our supervision. We also have another 8 year old daughter and 4 year old son. Animals are already a meaningful part of our family life, and we are planning to welcome our own dog within the next two years. In many ways, pet care has become a beautiful opportunity for us to spend time with dogs while continuing to learn and prepare as future dog owners ourselves. As a family, we enjoy learning about dog behaviour, training, and care, and even love watching Cesar Millan together. We have hands-on experience caring for a wide variety of animals. We have completed both a 10-day farm sitting stay in the summer and a 7-day stay in the winter for close friends with a hobby farm that includes two dogs, a cat, goats, chickens, and other animals. Our responsibilities included daily feeding, animal care, cleaning, outdoor chores, and even milking goats. In addition, we have experience fostering dogs in our home, providing pet care for friends and neighbours, dog walking, and drop-in visits/check-ins for bathroom breaks and companionship. One summer, we also helped a neighbour with daily noon-time puppy check-ins for six weeks while they were at work. We are a calm, caring, outdoorsy family who genuinely enjoys spending time with animals and making sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while their owners are away. We are best suited for dogs who are comfortable around children and reasonably calm around cats. We do have a cat in the home, though she has her own quiet spaces and hiding spots where she can retreat comfortably when needed. My husband and I both work as entrepreneurs mostly from home. We do sometimes leave the house for around 2-4 hrs for different activities with our homeschooled children. Sometimes we can bring dogs with us, sometimes they need to stay at the house. Our family like to take regular walks in the morning and evening so we don’t need to change our routine too much when we add a dog to the house. We have a fenced yard and three level house. We are extra tidy when dogs are around and are careful with leaving food out. We once had a dog eat a brick of butter from the counter…let’s say we learned our lesson!
“Cindy made us feel very comfortable with leaving our girl with her. This was our first time using Rover and I’m so happy we picked Cindy. She has excellent communication skills and made sure to send pictures throughout Maple’s stay. We will absolutely take Maple back to Cindy’s next time we are going away.”

“Having Richard care for my dog gave me great relief as a first time Rover customer. Everything seemed quite seamless. Richard was very welcoming and showed me some of the area of his home where my dog would be spending some time there. And the backyard was a nice big fenced in area!! Definitely would recommend his services and will utilize his help again!”

“Sara took excellent care of our energetic Airedale terrier. He had multiple walks, a clean and spacious house, and large fenced backyard. She sent us plenty of photos and updates, and we knew that our dog was very well cared for. They have 2 friendly, non-aggressive dogs that played well with our dog. I highly recommend Sara and Cody for anyone who wants exceptional care for their dog.”

“Angi was phenomenal every step of the way! From coordinating the weekend to the actual dog sitting, it was a great experience and we were so happy/comfortable. Highly recommend and I would rebook with Angi when we’re in the area in the future!”

“Pam was wonderful with Kalie; I highly recommend her. She kept in contact throughout her stay and sent many pictures of Kalie which put my mind at ease. Kalie takes daily meds and when she would take her pills in the morning Pam was able to pill her iwhich was a great relief. Not to mention that she left the house super clean — which I completely appreciate. Thanks Pam!”

“Nikol is absolutely amazing! I know how much my dog 'Buddy' enjoyed his time at her home because he was so excited when we picked him up... but exhausted on the way home. I was told he ran around and played with her dog all day. I really appreciated the messages and photos from Nikol about what he got up to, it made me feel so comfortable leaving him for the day! Would definitely book her again and highly recommend her.”

“My little one Rigby stayed at Jennifer’s for two days. Jennifer kept us up to date throughout the stay and we had peace of mind the whole time we were away. When we picked her up she was in very good spirit, very happy to see me though, but also very at home at Jennifer’s home, telling me she had a good time away from home and was well cared for. Huge thank you!”

“This was my first time using this service and I was quite pleased with Samantha. My cat played hide and seek with her every visit but she always found him to make sure he was safe and she tried to make him more comfortable. I loved the daily reports, very helpful to see the progress she made, slow and steady. We will definitely call on Samantha again!”

About: I grew up with many pets in my house - 3 dogs and 2 cats! I went for daily walks with the dogs in my local ravine growing up. Each dog having it's own very unique personality and quirks provided me with a breadth of experience. I believe obedience and rules are the foundation of a well behaved dog. As well, a well exercised dog is a well behaved dog. Structure is very important and I will always make a dog work for their treat. I try to continue any on-going training for the dogs I am walking or sitting. I was finally able to get my own dog as an adult - who I have had since 2021. I rescued my dog, Arlo, when he was ~4 months, and have given him a loving home since! I worked with a trainer when I got to him and learned a lot about dog (and human) behaviours. I am home during the days with a flexible schedule, so walks at any time of the day can work. Generally a morning, lunchtime, or late afternoon walk are the preferred times. I currently have daily mid-day regulars that I walk. Depending on the dogs personality and suitability with other dogs, I walk with a pack or individually. If a dog is staying with me, I take them on a walk first thing if their owner hasn't already done so. This way, they are starting on the best foot forward. I have a dog at home, so I do an intro of the dogs on 'neutral' territory, there is a laneway and Bruce trail across from so I ask that their owner does a quick walk with the dogs and myself. I do potty breaks every 0-2 hours, either to go on a short walk, or ball throw. I also do 5-10 minute training sessions to keep the dogs entertained and stimulated. I also ask that the dogs bed and an article of clothing of the owners comes with them, so they have a space that is their own and familiar. This will help the dog settle in. Favourite toys or treats are also recommended.

“Nikol was very pleasant and quick to return messages. I was kept updated as to how our dog was acclimating which made leaving him less stressful. Nice property set back in the woods which is great for walking. Very accommodating for drop off and pick up times. We will use Nikol’s services again!”

I provide care in the client’s home, so my focus is on keeping pets safe, comfortable and settled in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible including feeding, walks, medication, litter care, playtime, companionship, and bedtime routines. Before a booking, I like to review care instructions, health needs, emergency contacts, vet information, home access details and any household routines. I’m careful with doors, gates, leashes, food, medications and anything that could affect a pet’s safety. I also respect the client’s home by keeping things tidy, collecting mail/packages, caring for plants and following household instructions.
About: I have been taking care of animals of all shapes, sizes, breeds, and species as long as I can remember. I am very cognizant of all the animals in my care and find I can read their cues like a book. I am learning dog training and have worked hard with my dog on his skills. I am no stranger to giving pups medication as well, let me know what your pups needs and I can take care of them as if they were my own! I am currently a stay-at-home mom of 1, so I have lots of time and love to give your furry family. We are quite flexible so let us know your needs for care and we will be happy to oblige! We have a large fenced backyard, the dog beach nearby and 2 dog parks not far from our house. We have 1 dog and 3 cats in the home so we are very familiar with accommodating different personalities and their needs! We can crate pups if they need some space or we have a deck that they can lay on to get some sun.
About: I provide calm, attentive, and reliable care for dogs, cats, and other pets, treating every animal as part of my family. I have experience with high-energy dogs, senior pets, and animals with special needs, including administering medications, feeding on schedule, and maintaining clean and safe environments. As a tech consultant who works mostly from home, I’m present for most of the day, giving pets consistent supervision, companionship, and attention. I also offer flexible care options, including overnight stays, house sitting, and part-time visits. What sets me apart is my genuine passion for animals, my attention to routines, and my ability to create a calm and loving environment where pets feel safe and happy. I’m happy to provide references or share reviews from previous sits to give clients peace of mind. As a self-employed professional working from home, I’m able to spend most of my day with pets, providing consistent companionship and care. I lead a calm, healthy lifestyle, enjoy quiet, home-based activities, and love spending time with animals. Pets are a joy to be around, and I take pride in creating a safe, loving, and entertaining environment for them while their owners are away. I treat every pet and home with deep respect, as if they were my own. In a client’s home, I carefully follow all routines, safety instructions, and house rules to ensure pets feel secure and relaxed in their familiar environment. I maintain a clean, peaceful space and keep a quiet, calm presence—ideal for pets who need stability or are sensitive to change. They are never left alone for long. I provide a cozy, quiet, and safe environment where they can rest, play, and feel part of the family. I always prioritize their emotional and physical well-being, and I stay in regular communication with pet parents for peace of mind.

About: Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm a self-employed mental health therapist who works from home full-time, so as you can imagine my days can feel heavy and spending quality time with animals between clients and on my days off is the perfect way to add some light and laughter to my days! I've cared for animals with a range of *unique* personalities and needs, including my own kitties - two of whom have special diets and require daily meds to keep them feeling their best! While I'm not currently a dog owner, I grew up with dogs - from terriers, to pointers, to shepherds, from puppies to seniors and everything in between! Pets are such a special and important part part of my life, and I promise to love up your pets as though they are my own! I'm self-employed and work from home which allows me the flexibility to provide multiple daily drop-ins between clients, and meet short-notice requests for care for local clients. As someone who cares for the well-being of people full-time, it's a special treat to break up my day by visiting pets, as being with animals brings levity and mindfulness to my days. I like to keep feeding areas and litter boxes clean, and maintain a stress-free environment for your pet. It means a lot to me when people trust me with their pets, so safety is always a top-priority!

“Heather was 10/10 during the whole process. It was our first time user rover and she made everything seem so flawless! She constantly sent photos and updates and when there was a change of plans, Heather didn’t hesitate! I will definitely be booking my girly with her again!”

“Courtney was absolutely exceptional! Stella had a great time in her care! Her property is amazing! She had excellent communication; sent pictures while out on a walk, and kept me in the loop and reassured while we were away! She definitely went over and above to pamper, exercise and take great care of Stella! We would 100% book again and reccommend Courtney!”

“Jessica and family treated my dog, Cooper, just like he was their own and I knew he was in good hands from the moment I met them. They sent many updates, including photos and videos. I will definitely be using their dog sitting services again and highly recommend them!”

About: Think of this as a boutique, in-home pet boarding retreat — not a kennel. With 30+ years of hands-on experience raising, hosting, and loving just about every creature imaginable — cats, dogs, fowl, rabbits, rodents, and even tortoises (yes, really) — your pet will be in wildly capable hands. Puppies who need gentle training? Seniors who need extra patience and TLC? Shy pets, quirky pets, “my pet is kind of weird” pets? I’ve met them all and adore them deeply. Our home is designed for calm, gentle pet care, nestled on a peaceful 100-acre forest property (freija.ca), which means plenty of fresh air, enrichment, and stress-free vibes. No kids, no chaos — just a quiet, loving environment where animals can actually relax. My husband and I both work from home, so your pet is never left wondering where the humans went. Someone is always around for companionship, playtime, belly rubs, or just existing together (a highly underrated skill). And then there’s Honey, our resident adventure cat and official Welcome Committee. He absolutely loves meeting visiting pets and brings big “friendly camp counsellor” energy to every introduction. If you’re looking for a sitter who treats your pet like family, understands animals on a deep level, and can handle everything from puppy zoomies to senior snoozes — you just found your place. 🐾💚 My husband and I both work from home, which means your pet gets constant supervision, companionship, and engagement — ideal for puppies needing routine, senior dogs who require extra care, and pets who don’t do well being left alone. There are no children in the home, just experienced adults who speak fluent “animal.” Our home is set up specifically for gentle, low-stress pet sitting, tucked away on a quiet 100-acre forest property (freija.ca). It’s perfect for dogs who love sniffing adventures, cats who enjoy calm observation posts, and pets who thrive in a peaceful environment. No crates by default, no overcrowding, and absolutely no chaos. If you’re looking for reliable, experienced, in-home pet boarding where your pet is treated like family (and maybe a little spoiled), you’ve found it. Your pet brings the personality — we’ve already got the love, patience, and forest vibes covered.
About: Hi there, My name is Natalie and I live with my partner Jesse, our 12 year old pug Bernie and our 4 year old Terrier mix, Lucy. We are huge dog lovers and often spend our weekends going for long walks and volunteering for a local animal rescue. We would treat your pet like our own while they are in our care. Please note we require a meet and greet first before agreeing to take care of your dog. Let me know if you have any questions. I hope to hear from you! Natalie Every day we make sure our two dogs are cared for and happy. Our joy and purpose comes from seeing them living their best lives. Safety and lost dog prevention always comes first. It is so important that a dog is secure and never given the opportunity to be in harms way.
About: I grew up on a small hobby farm looking after all different types of animals. But I’ve always had a strong love for dogs. I treat all animals like they are my own, with unconditional love and the best care I can provide. I believe everyone should feel the joy of owning a dog! But of course life gets busy and work can become a priority. So I am more than happy to help those people have the peace of mind while they are away from their pets, that they are getting the love and attention they need! Let me help you give your pet a little extra joy in their day while you are gone, whether it’s an extra walk or just some snuggle time! I currently work from home on our beautiful little hobby farm, so I’ll have plenty of time to play and spend time with your pups! Offering daycare Monday through Friday from 8-5 and overnight boarding any day including weekends & holidays. I have a fenced yard with two separate areas, and two friendly dogs to play with your pups! I am also fully set up with professional style kennels and doggy play room!

“Thank you Janine and family for taking such good care of my golden girl. The photos (and her exhaustion!) are testament to a good time had. Hope Rosie had as much fun! Until our next visit...”

“We were very pleased with the care Dex received with Jessica. She sent updates and pictures often which gave us peace of mind and very secure. Dex was well taken care of and she really cared for him. I would definitely use her again.”

“Ashley was incredibly accommodating with an out-of-the-norm pick-up times and with a last minute booking. Her property has plenty of space for the dogs to play and my dog loved spending time with her pups. She was very communicative and stayed in touch over the weekend. Only downside - my pup came home smelling quite strongly of cigarette smoke. Other than that, would book again!”
