About: Hello! My name is Victoria :) I’ve been a Rover sitter in Ontario for the past two years and have now re-located back home to Newfoundland. I have absolutely loved my time as a sitter in Ontario and am looking to continue within the metro region in NL :) I work full-time in the Early Childhood Education field and am a huge animal lover! I have experience looking after dogs, cats and bunnies, as well as owning dogs and cats throughout my life. Please reach out if you have any questions :) I look forward to meeting some new furry faces! I work full-time as an early childhood educator :). I currently work split shift so between shifts I can be back to hang out with your pet! I have my own vehicle as well so transportation is not an issue :) Your fur baby will be given so much love and affection as if they’re my own :) I am always on top of making sure their food and water is full, their potty area is clean, and they get lots of play time. I’m always sure to give plenty of updates with cute pictures and videos of your pet
“Emma was Fantastic!!! She gave a great detailed report after every visit and had no issues giving medication to our cat. Would recommend to any person in need of a sitter!”

About: I’m a caring, professional individual who has owned and looked after pets (cats and dogs) since I was young. Please message me and I will get back to you in a few hours. I look forward to meeting your special fur babies. I currently have a part time job so I am available most evenings. Message me for more information about my current availability and I will be happy to try to work out something. I’m willing to follow any instructions given to me for caring for your animal. Some key tasks I can do: bring them to parks or on walks, administer medication and give them food.
About: I’ve been around animals my whole life—dogs and cats. I’ve helped care for family pets, walked neighborhood dogs, and provided overnight care for friends and family while they were away. I’m confident handling pets of all sizes and temperaments, and I treat every animal like my own—with patience, love, and respect. Whether it’s a long walk, some playtime, or just company, I’m here to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away👍 I’m currently doing online studies and not working at the moment, which allows me to offer a very flexible schedule. I’m available Monday through Saturday for walks, drop-ins, and overnight care. Whether your pet needs attention during the day or evening, I’m happy to work around your schedule. Sundays are my only day off, but feel free to reach out anytime! I understand how important it is to feel confident when someone is caring for your pet in your home. I treat every home with the utmost respect and care, just as I would my own. I follow any specific instructions you provide and always prioritize your pet’s routine, safety, and comfort. I take time to build trust with both pets and owners, creating a calm and reliable environment. Your pet’s well-being—and your peace of mind—are my top priorities. If you’d like updates while you’re away, I’m more than happy to send messages, photos, or videos so you can feel reassured that your pet is happy and well cared
About: I’ve been pet sitting since I was 11, starting with family and close friends. I’ve now been caring for pet for 11 years! I absolutely love animals, meeting new ones and caring for them! I learned from working under the groomers at a pet salon and pet store how to brush, trim paw pads, and cut animal nails correctly. I now do my cats nails at home! I also know how to administer medication with a needle, as my dog had diabetes. I am in college typically from 8:30 to 3:30, with some days finishing earlier or later. I have the mornings before class, the breaks in between classes, and after classes to care for pets. I have an office job, but I often work from home, so that doesn’t affect my ability to check on pets. I find out any and all information regarding the pets and the home, and then confirm the information the day I start. I send daily updates, usually with photos!
About: I have lots of experience caring for many types of pets, my most favorite being cats and dogs. I’ve been providing care for many years. My love to care for animals is why I began to offer drop-in visits for all types of animals :) I'm a full-time university student, but now that school is complete for the summer, I have open availability—mornings, afternoons, and evenings—plus full flexibility on weekends. I'm excited to dedicate my time to providing your fur babies with the attentive, loving care they deserve! I am a very safe and responsible individual who loves animals. I would provide excellent care to ensure they receive lots of love and all needs are met!
About: I am very experienced with puppies, adults, and senior dogs, as well as cats and birds. I am quite comfortable administering medications and providing training and playtime. We have had our current dog since she was a puppy and took on a lot of the training responsibilities. I used positive reinforcement through pets and words of encouragement, treats, and clicker training. I have also taken care of a senior dog who required medications, physical support, and diapering. I have experience with large breed dogs as our previous dog was a Great Pyrenees who required regular walks, grooming, and playtime. We have had our 16-year-old cat since he was born. He is diabetic but is no longer insulin dependent. His diabetes is now managed with his specific diet, so I understand the importance of sticking to a plan and schedule. I am currently working part-time and would love to spend some time with your fur babies - snuggling on the couch or placing tug of war. I never walk dogs off-leash unless it's at an owner-approved dog park and inside an enclosed area. I always walk on the sidewalks where possible and I stay on the side of traffic. I am always cautious when entering a house with cats to ensure no escapes occur on my watch. I always follow the owner's training and house rules to the best of my ability. The pets' safety is my first priority and when unsure of what to do, I use common sense or I will call the owner for direction.
“Highly recommend Kathleen! I had a last minute work trip and she was both professional and flexible with our dogs' drop-in sessions. She went above and beyond, especially when our pup had an upset tummy! Thank you so much Kathleen for your help :)”

“Heather pet sitted out two senior cats for 5 days when we had to go out of province for a family wedding. She did a great job! One of our cats needs medication twice a day and she administered it no problem. They loved her and did not hide when she came to visit. I felt very relieved having her watch the cats and felt like it was one thing I did not have to worry about while we were away. I would recommend Heather to anyone and would definitely book her again.”

“We were super nervous using the app for the first time and especially not meeting her before leaving. Faith was very reassuring and made us feel comfortable. Our kitties are usually shy and timid if strangers are around, but Faith was able to give them pats and treats and send us photos! We will definitely use the app and Faith again!”

About: I’ve been lucky enough to of always had dogs growing up, experienced in large breed dogs including Labradors, Bernese Mountain Dogs, Husky Mix, Gordon Setters, Golden Retrievers, and Great Danes to name a few! I’m very active so if we’re not out in the yard playing fetch, then it’s a 5km walk on the back trails of CBS to enjoy nature. I’m currently working full time Monday to Friday but my weekends are open for all your pets needs! If your pet is staying with me, they’re my number one priority to have a safe and fun visit. I have a 0.6 acre lot with lots of room to run around, I have a 30 foot lead that lets the pups pay fetch and frisbee since the yard is not fenced. When inside, they’re allowed on the furniture so they can lay down wherever is comfortable, water is always available on the floor and every 2 hours is when I usually let Fergus out to pee.
About: Hey my name is Sami, I absolutely love animals and am all about giving your pet the best care possible! Whether it’s snuggling, playtime, or making sure they feel safe and happy, I’m here to give them all the attention and love! I have a very flexible schedule, I’m only in school 3 days a week and I have breaks between classes, I am a server so when I work I only work short shifts. I will follow your pet’s regular schedule for feeding, walks, and playtime as much as possible to maintain consistency. I give good companionship to prevent loneliness and ensure your pet feels secure and I keep an eye on your pet’s health, administering medications if needed and alerting you to any concerns.
About: Ollie’s mom here! I was away recently as my dog recovered from knee surgery, I am back and looking forward to making new friends! I am a registered nurse who would love to help take care of your fur baby when you’re in need. I am flexible with my calendar and rates can be discussed if needed! As a shift worker I’ve had to ask for help caring for my own dog over the years and I understand how difficult it is to find someone you feel comfortable asking for help, and to trust with your baby, which is why I wanted to help other pet parents in need! I have lots of love and care to give and as a dog lover I would love the extra company and companionship. Rest assured they will be treated with the same love and care as my own, lots of love to share ♥️🐾 Reach out! Hello! I am a full time registered nurse and dog mom to my energetic boy, Ollie. About: I am a highly active, vegan, compassionate animal lover. I provide great companionship to your pet, gaining a friend, not just a dog walker/sitter. I have been caring for, sitting, and walking dogs for over 10 years. I have a very strong love for all animals, big and small. Life is not the same without a pet in it. In the past I have always volunteered to walk shelter dogs, as well as short term foster dogs from local rescue groups. I have experience with extra large breeds (Newfoundland, German Shepard, Rotweilers), as well as small breeds (teacup chihuahuas, Maltese). I have experience giving pets medication, both pill and injection forms, as well as brushing, teeth brushing, and nail clipping! Contact me today. I would love to discuss my future with you and your pet !
About: My name is Tori, I am 25 and I am looking for a fun engaging way to meet people in my area and generally dog people are the best kinds of people. I am also planning on getting my very own bundle of fur in the summer so I am looking for some practice getting in routine with walking and having a dog to be responsible for. It will also be nice to know fellow dog owners for advise as well as future dog friends for my new puppy. I’m currently working 2 jobs so my availability will not be the best but if I get constant work and a lot of interest I will gladly quit my second job (I’d much rather work with dogs than the Aulac gas station).
About: Friends and family have trusted me to look after their dog(s). I have three dogs of my own so I know how to keep them entertained and take care of them. I am a university student and work part time so I have spare time that I would love to fill with being around pets and helping out where I can. I ensure the dogs have enough to play with and keep them entertained as well as keeping them out of things that they shouldn’t be in and I can assist in some easier parts of training where needed.
About: All pets will be loved and taken care of, they will definitely be my priority during the time they are with me. Had dogs for the major part of my childhood, so growing up connecting to pets is not much of a problem for me. Will be playing with them pretty much all the time for sure, do not have to worry about any kinds of danger, safety will be ensured first. Any kind of special care requested will be happily accepted and extra attention will be payed towards the concern. Would love to stay connected to each pet, should expect me to secretly give treats to all the good pets out there ☺️💙 Every service provided will be the best. So when can I meet your pet??! 🤩

You can coordinate how much supervision you want directly with your sitter. While every sitter’s schedule varies, here are some examples of supervision by pet care service:
- Boarding or doggy day care: Many sitters can provide frequent companionship because they design their day specifically around the pets in their care or work from home.
- House sitting: Your sitter generally stays in your home for the requested duration, which may include overnight care. They may step out briefly to visit other pet clients, but your home remains their primary base.
- Drop-in visits or dog walking: These can be scheduled in 30- or 60-minute windows (and can be shorter or longer at your request) to help your pet receive dedicated attention and care during those specific times.
Interested in constant or 24/7 care? This service often incurs an additional fee but many sitters are happy to discuss this option with you.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Conception Bay South choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a veterinary professional or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
