About: I’ve been a dog & cat owner since childhood, and I’ve looked after family & friends’ pets for almost as long! I am no stranger to pets young and old, energetic and slow, shy and outgoing, nor am I a stranger to caring for pets when they’re ill, or have a few special needs here and there. I am comfortable with keeping up with training and regular enrichment. Additionally, I drive and have a car and I am more than happy to do any picking up & dropping off, as well as trips to the park or the beach! I currently work at a restaurant as my main job, so while I have some downtime before the summer rush hits I’m usually available Sunday-Wednesday! As well as mornings Thurs-Saturday. I understand that every pet has its own set of needs, and one cannot paint with a wide brush when it comes to pet care! I am happy to follow whatever direction given, and exchange wisdom when appropriate!
About: I currently work with two Ontario based rescue groups, CCRT (Canadian Chihuahua Rescue and Transport) and K9 Crusaders and have passed through all of their screenings. I also worked and fostered with the Calgary Humane Society for over a decade giving me a wide range of experience with various animals. I currently have 3 Chihuahuas of our own and foster a palliative care senior Shih Tzu. I am extremely comfortable with senior dogs by offering love, patience and any special care that may be required. I work part time for no more than 10 to 15 hours a week and my partner is retired at home full time. I can easily accommodate potty breaks and help with medications if required. I have a fully fenced large yard with supervision where all animals are treated equally with love and time. I truly enjoy meeting new pets and treat them all as part of the family. I am open to any specific requirements needed and look forward to creating the perfect experience for each pet.
“Jacob was calm and friendly and Yoshi really seemed to like him. We were away for 6.5 hours and came home to a happy, fed, and unstressed puppy. We would certainly have Jacob back to look after Yoshi and Tucker.”

“Awesome job. Rhonda is so responsible and communicative. Needless to say our animals adore her! Always leaves the place better than she found it. So grateful for you dear Rhonda.”

About: I'm not as new to professional pet caring now, but I'm constantly learning and I have respect and love for animals. I have cared for pet dog and cat from puppy to old age and I am always learning from experts on how to handle most situations that will arise. I am able to be extremely active and engaging with animals to ensure they are properly stimulated and socialized. I take my job very seriously as a guardian of a pet myself I know that they are as much family as pet. I will always take special care to listen to a pet's guardian's advice on how to care for their pet so that they are properly taken care of as they deserve and expect to be treated. I’m currently self employed and mainly work at night when my dogs are asleep. During the day I am free to look after not only my dogs but also other people’s pets as well. When I’m not working I’m often taking care of my dog’s needs. I follow instructions from pet owners and ask about their pet to find out what kind of care they need. Every dog has its own personality and needs and I do the best to treat them as their owner would treat them so their stay is as comfortable as possible.
About: Use code JOANW91601, to get a 20$ discount on your first Rover booking. I am brand new to Rover! I’m a retired animal lover who has owned dogs all my life, including both small and large breeds such as Shih Tzus, Boxers, and Labradors. Since retiring, I’ve realized how much I miss having dogs, and caring for other people’s dogs has been the perfect solution, and I absolutely love it. My home is quiet, calm, and perfect for dogs. I live in a house with a large fenced backyard where dogs can safely play, run, and enjoy lots of fresh air. Why Owners Choose Me ✔ Retired and home most of the day ✔ Large fenced backyard for safe playtime ✔ Lifelong dog owner with experience with many breeds ✔ Comfortable caring for large dogs and small dogs ✔ Experience with medication and special care needs ✔ Calm, quiet home environment Over the years I have also become the designated dog sitter for my family’s “grand-dogs.” These include a wide variety of breeds such as: • Pomeranian • Boston Terrier • Olde English Bulldogge • Bullmastiff • American Bulldog • Dogue de Bordeaux Because of this, I’m very comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. I also have experience with: • Puppies • Senior dogs • Dogs that require special care or medication. Because I am retired, I am home most of the time, which means your dog will receive plenty of attention, exercise, supervision, and companionship. I enjoy the time together as much as your dog. 😊 Dogs staying with me will enjoy a calm, loving environment where they will be treated like part of the family. I don’t take dogs out for neighbourhood walks (my own feet betray me from walking long distances 😉), but I make sure they get lots of exercise and playtime in my large (and safe) fenced backyard. I spend time outside with them playing fetch, tossing balls, and keeping them active. My goal is always to make sure dogs feel safe, relaxed, and loved while you are away.
“I had the pleasure of having Vanessa stay in my home for six days to care for my dog and two cats while I was travelling, and she did a fantastic job. From the start, Vanessa was communicative, thoughtful, and clearly wanted to make sure she got everything right, which I really appreciated. She has a very sweet and caring personality. Throughout my trip, Vanessa kept in touch with me consistently, sent updates including photos and videos, and made sure I always felt at ease knowing my pets and home were in good hands. She was flexible, respectful, and clearly cared about the wellbeing of my animals. I would absolutely book with Vanessa again in the future. It means a lot to find someone dependable, kind, and willing to go the extra mile. Thank you again, Vanessa! I really appreciate you! :)”

“Christine was super understanding with our needs for Buddy. New puppy never been left alone and readily accepted our request for a meet & greet before the actual booking. Highly recommend her.”

“Michelle was a wonderful companion for our cat. She bonded with our cat and we were care free during our trip. She left the house in a great condition and we would definitely love to be repeat customers!”

“Really can’t say enough good things about our experience with Andrea when she cared for our home and pets for a few weeks in October. Communication leading up to her stay was excellent and responsive which put us at ease leading up to the sit. While we were away Andrea did a great job of keeping us updated and providing photos of our fur babies. We returned to a very clean home, and some very happy pets including a nice a tired dog that enjoyed all the great hikes and adventures she got with Andrea :)! What more could you ask for! Thanks for everything Andrea! :)”

“Stephanie did a great job watching my two dogs overnight. She stayed in touch and cared for my dogs like they were her own. I would highly recommend Stephanie if you are looking for a dog house sitter.”

I have a particular interest in caring for senior pets and extra-large breeds, with an understanding of their unique needs. I hold a background in Animal Behaviour and currently work remotely in tech, allowing me to offer reliable, full-day presence and attentive supervision. Having cared for dogs, cats, and horses throughout my life, I deliver personalized care tailored to each pet ensuring their comfort, safety, and your complete peace of mind. Working full-time in a remote tech role while pursuing a computer science degree gives me a uniquely flexible and reliable schedule. Being home throughout the day allows me to provide consistent supervision, regular walks, timely feedings, and close attention to each pet’s needs. My work setup is structured yet adaptable, so I can easily accommodate routines, medications, and extra care without disruption. This balance of professional discipline and at-home availability ensures pets receive steady companionship, attentive care, and a calm, stable environment. Safety, trust, and a comfortable environment are the foundation of how I care for pets. With my veterinary background, I’m used to noticing small changes early and making sure pets are always safe and well looked after. I stick closely to their normal routines to help them feel relaxed and secure, and I keep their space clean, calm, and free of anything risky. I also believe in clear communication and treating every home and pet as if they were my own, so you can feel confident they’re in good hands while you’re away.
“Aarthi was a fantastic help to us house and pet sitting our elder dog and energetic cat while we were on vacation. It was important to us that our pets could stay in an environment they’re use to, especially our 14 yr old dog who is starting to slow down. Aarthi was flexible to meet ahead of time, see the house and understand their routines. She has a warm and friendly personality, and her affection for animals was evident from the moment we met her. She kept us informed as to how they were doing and sent a few pics too. We will definitely have her back!”

About: I was born into a home with pets. My parents, my grandparents, aunts and uncles, all had pets. It was the most normal thing in the world to have a dog or cat cuddle up to me while I played with my toys, watched movies, or did my homework. It was the best kind of life and I am honoured everyday to have lived in the presence of such amazing animals. I couldn’t imagine my life without a pet. Up until this past March, I had a cat named August. We would go everywhere together, on car rides, camping, even sometimes on walks. He would get excited to run, and probably irritated that he could outrun me, but mostly he loved the car. I had always wanted a dog, but I’m waiting until I own a house, for security and space. In the meantime, I melt into other people’s dogs. I love how excited they get to see me, the love they experience in me before they even know me is overwhelming, and it makes my heart melt. I once had a passenger tip me a large tip because her dog, who hates people, loved me. It makes me feel a little impatient to have one of my own but I’m not there yet. So, until then, I am looking to spend time with, caring, for other people’s dogs. I welcome the opportunity to be a part of a dog’s world, even if only briefly, and hopefully I melt into them as they do into me. I am an artist (singer/songwriter and writer of prose) and an Uber driver. My rates are what they are so I can take the time needed to spend with your pet, and focus far less attention on work. Tending to the care and attention of another’s animal would be an excellent inclusion into my artistic process. As an Uber driver, I can take the time off, so I can focus entirely on the fur baby in my care. We will go on walks, enjoy each other’s company, and eat according to their set schedule. I am flexible and willing to meet the special demands of your little one. I will ensure any physical aids your dog requires, from medications to physical supports, will be handled with the utmost care.
About: I’ve been around dogs since I was about 3 years old, so understanding them comes very naturally to me. Over the years I’ve learned to read dog body language well, which helps me understand when a dog is relaxed, playful, nervous, or needs space. Because of this, I always approach dogs in a calm and respectful way and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. What sets me apart is my patience and attentiveness. I pay close attention to each dog’s behavior and personality so I can respond appropriately—whether that means giving them space, engaging them in play, or helping them settle down. I also understand what not to do around dogs, which helps avoid stress or uncomfortable situations for them. For me, caring for dogs is not just a task—it’s something I genuinely enjoy. I treat every dog with kindness, patience, and respect, just like I would treat my own. I work as an IT professional from home, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to spend plenty of time with pets during the day. Because I’m home most of the time, I’m able to give dogs regular attention, playtime, and walks while making sure they feel comfortable and safe. I’ve always loved dogs, and instead of getting one of my own right now, I enjoy caring for dogs in my neighborhood. It gives me the chance to spend time with them, understand their personalities, and make sure they get the attention and care they need. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I enjoy making dogs feel relaxed, happy, and well looked after while their owners are away. I live in an individual house with a fully fenced yard, providing a safe space for dogs to play and relax. I work from home, so pets receive plenty of attention, supervision, and companionship throughout the day. I also have two pet-loving kids who understand how to interact gently with dogs, and all interactions are supervised to ensure the pet feels safe and comfortable. When caring for pets, I follow the owner’s routine closely, including feeding schedules, walks, and playtime, so the dog feels relaxed and well cared for.
About: I am very excited to walk or dogsit your babies! I have many years experience and have had a few babies along the way. Rip my loves 🙏🏽💜 So excited to start this new adventure and meet many dog lovers along the way. I have plenty of time to commit to helping take care of your dog. Let me know what you are looking for and I can get back to you with what works. I have a safe environment that allows for 1 or 2 dogs to stay. I am very strict in your schedule for food consumption and treats. I believe dogs need to be outside regularly and it gives them exercise and a chance to run around. I have a dog that I share with my ex. I have him every other week so I have lots of time to commit to other dogs while I don't have him.
“Richelle was fantastic with our dog, Sophie. We had a family emergency and needed a dog sitter on a very short notice. Rochelle came to meet us and Sophie at the same day and did an amazing job looking after our senior pup the next day. Sent updates, photos and came up with all kind of tricks to feed our picky eater. We really appreciate your help, Richelle!”
