“Sarah and Family were great. Our German Shepherd, Fritz, spent a week with them. We were provided with alot of updates, and pictures and videos of a very happy boy with lots of walks and playtime.”

“Sara took great care of Chloe while I attended a work retreat! I was sent daily photos and updates and could tell Chloe was in the very best hands and being treated like she was one of their own. I highly recommend! Thanks so much, Sara.”

“We arrived to pick up Joey and I think he would have preferred to stay! We had pics and comments from Sheilagh when we were away and were never worried about the care he was receiving. Excellent dog sitting home! Joey is going back for another 5 day stay in December and I’m sure he’ll be excited to see Gigi the resident queen pooch again!”

“Our little guy enjoyed the stay so much. He met so many new friends :) We received updates with photos almost everyday. We thank Gretel and her family for this awesome help while we were away. THANK YOU ?”

“Vicki and her family were the absolute best home we could have asked for, for our Loki. Vicki sent updates and photos, showing us how how loved and well cared for he was all week. We would recommend Vicki to anyone looking for a wonderful home to love and care for your dog!”

“I was so happy to find Loghan - he was amazing with Lizzy. She had loads of dogs to play with and was well looked after. Loghan was really communicative and responsive. He was also a lifesaver when our flight was cancelled and we couldn’t get home. Knowing that Liz was happy and safe made a stressful situation much easier. We’d have no problem recommending Loghan to anyone.”

“I’ve left Sam with Bryan & Raisa a couple of times now. Sam is a bit older and needs medication and such. B & R make sure that they completely understand his needs. He comes back happy and well looked after. Great Peeps!”

“Joanne has been amazing, we just recently started with some walks and had our first weekend of boarding and we are so glad we found Joanne ! She is great at keeping us posted with photos and how the days are going. Our Leo loves her and she takes amazing care of him. We were able to have our first family camping weekend and knowing he was well taken care of kept me at ease. Thank you Joanne!”

“Alessia and her family have been amazing at sitting for my puppy, Gia. I knew she was going to be in good hands when we first met. They are attentive, caring, and well informed. I appreciated the updates/photos during my time away from her. Will definitely book with them again!”

“We just cannot thank Elizabeth (Jayne) enough for all the love and attention she gave our old boy, Jack while we were away on vacation. Jayne was happy to be in touch with us and regularly sent pics and videos. Jack doesn’t always do well without us, but he settled in quickly and absolutely loved all the walks, love and attention he got at Jayne’s house! Jack is diabetic so it was such a relief knowing that Jayne had lots of experience giving insulin too. We will most definitely be calling Jayne again! Thank you, Jayne!”

“We had a great experience when our dog Lexi stayed the night at Esten’s! Thank you for making her feel so at home and sharing lots of pictures to ease our minds for Lexi’s first time staying away from us.”

“Caregivers extraordinaire! My 5 year old Italian Greyhound, Loki, was in great hands during an overnight stay with Dan and Cass. There were no shortage of blankets to make Loki feel very welcomed in their home providing the warmth and comfort that all Iggys enjoy. I felt very at ease knowing Loki was in a safe and happy environment and with a fellow playmate to keep him company. There will definitely be more sleepovers in the near future.”

“My pup is a nervous, skittish rescue who needs a lot of love and patience. Jessica was able to accommodate her needs, making sure that she was eating and drinking despite her resistance. Her dog, Snow, was friendly and I could see her dog and mine hanging out together in the photos and videos she sent. Jessica was very accommodating for drop off and pick up times when plans didn’t quite go my way. I’m glad to have found someone close by who I can trust for future stays!”

“Shae was an amazing sitter! She sent updates on Kitty so I could see how he was doing throughout the stay. She even put on cat tv to keep him company when she left for work. Super thoughtful! I will definitely book again with Shae and would recommend her as a sitter. Thanks again Shae”

“Susan and her family were really great with Elodie and Butters. I could tell right away that my dogs would love their stay. I really liked how they live all around fields so that the dogs have endless opportunities to run around and play. It felt like I was dropping them off to their own little vacation!”

“Rhonda was absolutely amazing! She took such wonderful care of my older, reactive dog and handled everything with skill and kindness. Her experience with dogs really shows — Lollie was comfortable, happy, and even a little sad to see her go! Rhonda stayed at my home and left it spotless — so clean and tidy you wouldn’t have even known anyone had stayed. I have complete peace of mind leaving Lollie in her care and will definitely be inviting her back next time!”

Whether you need early morning walks, midday drop-ins, evening visits, overnight care, or last-minute bookings, were happy to accommodate a schedule that works best for you and your pet. I understand that every household runs differently, and pets don’t always stick to a 9–5 routine. That’s why I make myself available all hours of the day, including weekends and holidays, to provide consistent, reliable care when you need it most. Your pet’s routine, comfort, and well-being remain my priority, no matter the time. Safety, trust, and comfort are my top priorities when caring for pets in both my home and my client’s home. I take the time to learn each pet’s routine, preferences, and any medical or behavioral needs to ensure consistency and reduce stress. I maintain a clean, calm, and pet-safe environment, closely supervise interactions, and follow feeding, exercise, and medication instructions exactly as provided. In a client’s home, I respect your space while keeping your pet’s routine as normal as possible — including walks, playtime, enrichment, and quiet rest. In my home, pets are treated like family, with a secure environment, structured care, and plenty of attention. I also monitor for any changes in behavior or health and communicate updates so you always feel confident and informed while you’re away.

Whether your cat is playful, shy, or independent, I offer patient care tailored to their comfort. I pride myself on reliability, cleanliness, and thoughtful attention to detail — from maintaining litter and feeding routines to noticing small changes in behaviour. You’ll also receive regular photo updates, so you can relax knowing your cat is safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
About: I'm not as new to professional pet caring now, but I'm constantly learning and I have respect and love for animals. I have cared for pet dog and cat from puppy to old age and I am always learning from experts on how to handle most situations that will arise. I am able to be extremely active and engaging with animals to ensure they are properly stimulated and socialized. I take my job very seriously as a guardian of a pet myself I know that they are as much family as pet. I will always take special care to listen to a pet's guardian's advice on how to care for their pet so that they are properly taken care of as they deserve and expect to be treated. I’m currently self employed and mainly work at night when my dogs are asleep. During the day I am free to look after not only my dogs but also other people’s pets as well. When I’m not working I’m often taking care of my dog’s needs. I follow instructions from pet owners and ask about their pet to find out what kind of care they need. Every dog has its own personality and needs and I do the best to treat them as their owner would treat them so their stay is as comfortable as possible.

About: I’ve had cats my whole life and currently have my own named Kevin! Growing up, I was always taking care of my two next-door neighbours cats when they were away on vacation by feeding them and cleaning their litter boxes. I also did that with many people in my church growing up! I have always loved cats and have no issues doing whatever needs to be done.
“Vanessa was so wonderful with our cats, Piper and Chewy. She sent us pictures and followed our feeding instructions perfectly. We felt really safe leaving them in her care and would again. Thank you Vanessa!”

About: I completed my first pet sitting booking (10 days) and I was very successful! Not only were the cat and dog happy but the owner came home right after a major snowstorm to mostly shovelled driveway. My clients referred me to a friend! I intend to complete a pet first aid course in the spring. References upon request. Areas: Guelph, Hamilton, Ajax, Port Perry, Oshawa , Whitby, Vancouver Tri-city area, Peterborough, Cottage Country and more. I work from home so all I need is an internet connection! I am not glued to a desk and I like to situate myself where I can keep an eye out and be by the back door. Hour lunch break is playtime and before and after work a walk. I believe in providing for the pet’s normal routine. I keep my belongings and food out of reach and am ready for behaviours that might come up with their family away. Tummy rubs and playtime ease stress. I maintain the litter box daily so it doesn’t get out of hand. I have education in gerontology and earth science. I love older pets and will care for your plants too.

About: I have taken care of cats from a young age. Through the years I have also helped with dogs and cats within the same house. And I always love getting to know the unique personality that every cat or any pet has.

“Amazing. Asked me all the important questions, let me look around. When we got stuck in bad weather on the way to pick out puppy up, she offered to either try to drive him back or keep him overnight. Mochi had a great time there.”

“My dog was very comfortable and happy right away on meeting Lisa at her house. Great backyard and lots of space to explore and play inside as well. Friendly and asked all the right questions, would recommend.”

“This was my first time using Rover.com and I am very pleased and relieved with the service. I had to use Rover.com for our 6 month old puppy because we were attending a family funeral, and living in a remote area, there was no one to care for him while we were gone. Unfortunately, I did not get to meet Raisa, but Bryan put my nerves at ease right away. Our puppy is timid with new people/dogs, but when I left he seemed to be adjusting. Bryan waited for our puppy to approach him and he also used a higher voice when he spoke to him. I know from dog training that dogs react better to higher-pitched voices. Bryan kept me updated with photos and then a cute video of our pup playing with his dog. Upon my pick up time, they both ran outside to play also. I would not hesitate to recommend Bryan & Raisa. Thank you for your good care of my pup.”

“Loghan is awesome, great communication and easy to reach. He sends pictures during Leo's stay which I really appreciate. Leo loves going over to Loghans for a stay! Thank you so much.”

“Our puppy has done a few days of Daycare with Kasi now, and today we needed a bit more time as I was going for day surgery, Kasi was incredibly accommodating and I didn't worry about our little guy for even a second today. I just knew he was in great hands!! I would highly recommend Kasi.”

About: Hi! We are Star Sitters here on Rover, with 6 years of professional pet care and 18 with our own animals. Someone is always here in our calm, safe, and dog friendly home so your dog can spend the day with company instead of being home alone. We do live with our loveable Boston Terrier, Gus, and we are often found hiking on dog friendly trails on the weekend or spending time at the lake. We are very active, enjoy being outside and think dogs should be too - Gus has a lot of energy so daily excercise is key already here. I work as a professional planner and Scott works from home and we are both free on weekends with flexible schedules. We spend a lot of love and time on Gus, who, like us, loves being around other dogs. We would be happy to meet you and your doggy in advance so you can get to know us. Emily works in the office four days per week just a few minutes from home, Scott works from home. Neither of us work on the weekend. Our home is save for any animal - we're smoke free, drug free with no children. Gus loves other dogs and always enjoys having a friend around. Our back yard is mostly fenced in and it's tucked behind. The front is also mostly fenced with a small garden fence.
“We had an amazing experience boarding our dog here. From the moment we dropped off our pup, we knew Hua was in great hands. She was incredibly professional, kind, and attentive, ensuring our dog received plenty of love, exercise, and proper meals.”

About: My entire life has been richly blessed by the presence of dogs. For over 17 years, I have had the joy and responsibility of being a dedicated dog owner, and my experience is rooted in a home filled with a vibrant pack of nine dogs, each of a different breed and size, who taught me the beautiful diversity of the canine world. While my family back home cares for them, I currently have my own faithful companion by my side—a constant reminder of the profound bond between a person and their pet. This lifelong immersion has given me a deep-seated passion for canine care that extends beyond my own animals. I have frequently provided care for the pets of friends and family, treating each one with the same love and attention I would my own. What I cherish most is getting to know each dog as the unique individual they are. I understand that every "fur baby" has their own distinct personality, preferences, and quirks, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to their care. I would be absolutely delighted to learn everything you are willing to share about your beloved companion—their favorite games, their daily routines, their little quirks, and any specific instructions you have. Please know that you can always feel comfortable letting me know precisely what to do and what to avoid; your guidance is my most valuable tool. It would be my genuine privilege and pleasure to provide your dog with a fun, safe, and nurturing experience, filled with engaging play and heartfelt companionship. I look forward to the opportunity to meet you and your wonderful dog. 🐾 My daily schedule is built around the needs of the pets in my care. I treat their routine with the same importance as any other essential daily commitment. The hands-on duties of pet care, like bathing, feeding, and play, are tasks I've always genuinely loved doing for my own dogs and my relatives' pets. I am truly excited to provide that same level of dedicated, hands-on love and attention to your furry baby! please do let me know of how you take care of your pet and I will maintain that for me and your dogs relationship on going.

About: I’ve spent my whole life caring for animals, and I truly can’t imagine a home without them. Over the years, I’ve raised and trained dogs from puppyhood—including golden retrievers, labs, and shepherd mixes—and loved them through every stage of life until their senior years. I’ve also cared for cats for more than 25 years, including fostering pregnant mothers and nursing newborn kittens. What really sets me apart is my experience with pets that need extra care: elderly, injured, or special-needs animals who require patience, strength, and compassion. Through volunteering with LAWS and the Humane Society, I’ve had the privilege of supporting animals in all kinds of situations. I’m active, reliable, and strong—I go to the gym regularly—and I’ll bring that same energy, love, and dedication to caring for your pets as if they were my own. Now that I’m semi retired, I have all the time in the world to dedicate to something I truly love—caring for animals. My days are wide open, which means I can easily adjust to your pet’s schedule for feeding, walks, playtime, or just keeping them company. Spending time with animals has always been one of my favourite pastimes, and it brings me joy to make them feel safe, happy, and cared for. Whether it’s a relaxed cuddle session with a senior cat, an energetic walk with a playful dog, or checking in throughout the day, I have the flexibility and the heart to give your pets the attention they deserve. When I care for pets in my home, I make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and part of the family. I keep a calm, pet-friendly environment with lots of love, attention, and plenty of time for play or rest depending on their needs. If I’m caring for pets in a client’s home, I follow their routines closely, whether that means sticking to specific feeding times, administering medications, or keeping up with favourite activities. I know how important consistency is for animals, so I make it a priority to keep their day-to-day life as familiar and stress-free as possible. No matter the setting, I give each pet the patience, care, and affection I’d want for my own.
About: I have enjoyed taking care of dogs and other pets from a young age. I like getting to know the unique qualities of each animal and enjoy providing an enriching environment full of activities for the active dog, or a quiet, calm space for the pets who take more time to settle in. Caring for, and socializing, puppies over a summer was one of the most memorable pet care times, as a family member was preparing to find homes for a litter. I'm currently off work for the summer and have lots of flexibility to care for your pets for overnight stays, walks, or drop in visits to your home. I have a fenced backyard and a park across the road with lots of walking trails around to accomodate all the needs or your furry friend. We do also have 1 friendly cat in the home.
About: I have always loved taking care of dogs and cats my whole life. I have a lot of experience being around and helping all different pets. I am a very active person and walk and go on runs everyday. I walk at-least 5km everyday so i would be very happy to walk your dog any distance or for any time requested. I am very friendly and am comfortable with all types of dogs and cats. My friends often drop off their dogs at my house and i will happily walk them and spend time with them. I am currently certified in Standard First Aid and CPR. I used to be a Lifeguard and would guard dog swims all the time. I have a G license and a car so i am able to drive to your pet when needed. I walk everyday so I would be happy to walk with a dog and help others. I am available most days at any time. I need a day notice, sometimes even the day of. I will walk your dog however long you would like me too. Once i even walked a marathon so i enjoy walking a lot. My home is very tidy and clean. It is a bungalow with a half fenced yard with grass space. I will gladly pet sit the dog during the day or at night if needed.
About: I've had dogs for my entire life! I grew up with great danes. I volunteered training puppies in high school. I started fostering dogs as soon as I was able (and still do!) and very quickly adopted my first dog. Dogs have always been my passion. I was working a corporate job while spending my free time training sport and foster dogs, reading about dog behaviour, and learning as much about dogs as I could. I've recently decided to focus on dogs full time, and decided to jump on Rover to help supplement and get me started :) While I'm already quite confident in my skills, there's ALWAYS room for improvement! As such, I have invested quite a bit into continuing to grow as a dog trainer. Most recently I went to LA to take a dog training course from my favourite dog trainer. There is no such thing as a bad dog! I am willing and prepared to handle reactivity or any behaviourial issues, you won't have to worry about your pup when they're with me! I very recently left my full-time job to focus exclusively on dog training. When your pet is staying with or going for a walk with me, they will be my full focus! Along with my dog, of course. It is so so important for dogs to get individual time with people away from other dogs, so I make sure every dog gets plenty of one on one time with me every day. I live on a beautiful property in Kendal ON! There’s fields, fully enclosed dog runs available, and we’re located very close to the Ganaraska Forest! We will be spending a fair amount of time out of the house- I love going on hikes or finding some secluded grass areas/fields to work with the dogs in. If the dogs I have at the time are all healthy and physically able, we'll go for hikes as long as 20km! It's all about them- I love bringing a longline with me so your furry friend can explore and sniff and run around in nature.
“Joan was wonderful, our puppy felt comfortable right away. He had a great time and was very happy when we picked him up. She seems to love what she does and cares. Joan was very accommodating and very quick to respond. We will definitely be using her again. Thank you Joan.”

About: I’ve been a dog & cat owner since childhood, and I’ve looked after family & friends’ pets for almost as long! I am no stranger to pets young and old, energetic and slow, shy and outgoing, nor am I a stranger to caring for pets when they’re ill, or have a few special needs here and there. I am comfortable with keeping up with training and regular enrichment. Additionally, I drive and have a car and I am more than happy to do any picking up & dropping off, as well as trips to the park or the beach! I currently work at a restaurant as my main job, so while I have some downtime before the summer rush hits I’m usually available Sunday-Wednesday! As well as mornings Thurs-Saturday. I understand that every pet has its own set of needs, and one cannot paint with a wide brush when it comes to pet care! I am happy to follow whatever direction given, and exchange wisdom when appropriate!

“Meaghan stepped in with very short notice to walk our dog Nova. She was absolutely amazing! Very easy to communicate with and knew exactly how to make sure Nova was on her best behaviour. We met the day before to go through any details and logistics that really helped make us feel at ease. She also sent post walk photos of our happy girl! Will totally be using her again if we are in need and would recommend to anyone in need of dog walking or sitting.”

About: I’ve had a dog around my whole life, my family has owned 3 dogs in my lifetime, my husband and I had a beautiful chocolate lab who crossed the rainbow bridge way too soon at only 3 days past his 3rd birthday. We now have a 2 year old English lab. My absolute dream would be to open a dog sanctuary and let all the dogs live their best life. I’m currently on maternity leave so my days are pretty open. I would need to bring my 1 yr old with me for walks as my husband works during the day so if your dog is ok with strollers perfect if not I can put my son in the carrier. I have an energetic 2 year old english lab who loves to play with other pups, he’s like a family member to us and yours will feel like one too!
About: Hi, I’m Lee, a lifelong dog lover who grew up with dogs and have had several dogs throughout my life. My goal is to give your dog the best experience possible. He will be stimulated and given affection so we can build a bond. I can also brush them and cut their nails. I will work with any dog, big or small and love them all. They all have unique personalities depending on their breed and background. I'm looking forward to meeting your dog! I work as a delivery driver which allows me to work when I want, so therefore I can make myself available for your dog when the opportunity presents itself. I can follow your instructions to best meet your needs for your dog. My goal is to be their next favorite person to see besides yourself.
“Mike was great to deal with with proper handling of our young golden retriever. Was on time, even in the rain and was a big help on short notice when we needed it. Will be back for more walks in the future”

With 16+ years of experience watching cats and dogs and having my own pets, I can confidently say that I know what I’m doing, I am efficient and I’m a trustworthy person I work for TD Bank part time so when I’m not there, I’m working from home. I go on daily walks/hikes and always like to keep moving and doing something to pass the time. I’m very flexible with time and can make almost anything work for you. I live very close to many trails, and parks. I take my own personal dog there very often. I have a beautiful apartment that already houses my eight year old Yorky named peanut and by kitten Tim. Both are super spoiled and cared for very well. I keep my home very tidy but don’t mind having any messes caused by the dogs and/or cats. I don’t mind having dogs in my house but I will not take cats in my house because I don’t think that Kevin would like that. I have no problem going to other peoples houses to care for their cats and doing what needs to be done.

About: Hi there! thanks for checking out my profile. Happy to have you here. I will leave a brief but detailed synopsis about myself and my experience working with pets. My goal is to help you make an informed decision regarding your pet's stay while you are away. My name is Vee. I am a university student full of vibrant energy and a love for pets. I have five years of documented experience in pet sitting. I have had pets of all sorts and breed under my care. Domestic pets such as cats, dogs, birds, horses and reptiles I have attended to. I am well vexed in this field as I volunteered with an animal shelter catering to older pets. I loved it! I am certified in CPR for pets should an emergency arise. I take pride in my vigilance and accessibility. I am a student of life and love to learn as much as I can and build amazing friendships with pet owners while taking great care of their pets! I would also like to describe myself as trustworthy. I am organized and my love for pets shows in various aspects. I have excellent multitasking and communication skills. I am also really good at recalling names. Cruelty-free enthusiast. Can’t wait to meet you and start taking care of these amazing pets! Thank you for trusting me to care for your babies while you take a well-deserved break 😊 I am available all year round to accept bookings and do my best to respond to bookings in a timely manner. I am honest and transparent about my hours and will not take any more bookings than necessary. I am extremely passionate about this business. I try not to overwhelm myself as this is important to me. I aim to be the best sitter I can be and strive for perfection each stay. I do not overcharge for stays and my low prices for stays are deliberate. I do this for the company as I enjoy having pets around while I study. It's a win-win. I formulated a couple of games to occupy and tire out your pet for the entirety of their stay. I will send photos of the entirety of the stay and keep in touch so you have peace of mind. I have spare toys in my care also, but always recommend bringing your own. I have had pets with severe anxiety and having a piece of home, be it a blanket or toys that smell like home helps a ton. As far as safety, I have a fenced yard in my apartment and will never let a pet off-leash especially if your pet does not have any recall. I enjoy practicing training with pets also and have successfully conditioned some to learn commands. I offer grooming services as well at no extra cost, except showers/baths. Your pet is in safe hands and you will have nothing to worry about while they are in my care. I will make sure of that.

“We had a great experience when our dog Lexi stayed the night at Esten’s! Thank you for making her feel so at home and sharing lots of pictures to ease our minds for Lexi’s first time staying away from us.”

“I am so happy with Kasi. She would send updates of Roxy's stay and assured me she was doing great. Kasi was great to communicate with as well responded to questions in a timely manner. We will definitely send Roxy back the next time she needs boarding.”
