“Rambo loves staying over and always comes home tired :) Very accommodating and was able to watch Rambo longer that initially listed on our Rover agreement. Thanks again!! :)”

“Siobhan and Marc were excellent to Duke! I really appreciated the photo updates over the week I was away. Duke enjoyed swimming in the pond a lot with their dog and I was thankful that Shiobhan gave him a little bath before I picked him up. I would recommend them and the property is beautiful, for a little doggo holiday!”

“Jane is very lovely and kind. Our dog was comfortable right from the start. She kept us up to date on their daily activities with delightful messages and photos. We would highly recommend her and our dog would go back anytime. Thank you, Jane for loving and caring for our dog. Kindest regards.”

“Andrea and her family have been so amazing for my dog Yana! This was her first overnight and they were so caring and soft with her, which is exactly what she needed. Will be reaching out again if I ever need help in the future!!”

“Valerie did an amazing job watching our miniature dachshund Ruby over the weekend while my husband and I got married in MacTier! She has a lovely home in a beautiful location and did her very best to make Ruby comfortable and give her lots of attention and cuddles. Would highly recommend her for dogs with separation anxiety!”

“Lisa was amazing with my 2 year old bouvier, Molly. I was sent pictures of her walking, resting, investigating Lisa's home and yard. I would definitely recommend her and will use her again if needed. It was Molly's first time away from family and she had never met Lisa before. I was nervous that Molly might cause problems, but she was very comfortable with Lisa. Thank you for such great care.”

“Such care and kindness was given to our dog. He was well loved and played with. Sabine and her family are always friendly and enjoy the company of dogs. They are knowledgeable and respectful of dogs. They take the time to get to know our dog each time he is with them. Sabine is truly an amazing dog sitter and we would highly recommend her to anyone with a cherished and loved dog.”

“Ruby had a fantastic stay with Danielle over the weekend; she didn’t even want to leave when we got there to pick her up! Danielle took amazing care of Ruby and instantly made her feel right at home. She gave her lots of attention and affection and lots of photo updates. She truly is the dachshund whisperer! I would definitely recommend her for dogs with separation anxiety. We’re very grateful she was available!”

“Rhiannon and Patrick are exactly what we have been looking for. We have 2 Bouviers that need room to roam and people to love and they have found them. With 100 acres and endless trails Sadie and Koda came home happy and tired😀 We will definitely be booking with Rhiannon again.”

“Susan Y took care of our older pompoo, Eddie, for 2 nights. Eddie didn’t want to leave when I went to pick him up, and he’s got a pretty good home life! My first impression of Susan Y is that she’s friendly, personable and communicative! She will be the first person I call if we need someone to take care of Eddie again! We are definitely done with kennels!”

“Katie, Laura and Denise were fantastic. They took great care of my boys Muffin and Lucifer while I had to be out of my apartment while it was getting fixed. They gave me updates and pictures every day letting me know how they were doing. I definitely recommend them and plan on going back to them next time I’m on a vacation or need to be out of my apartment for an extended period of time. Thank you again ladies for taking good care of my boys”

“My dogs had a great time and Danielle was very responsible and provided them with great walks and she sent photos - they looked right at home! She also gave my one dog her medication with no concerns.”

“Joan is wonderful and highly recommended. Our dog had such a fun time staying with Joan over the weekend. She sent us many pictures, kept us updates on all he was up too and we were so at ease knowing that our dog was in good hands while we were away. So thankful to have found her !”

“Omg if you are ever in the area for a stay, Kristen is your gal! We have a rescue dog that we’ve only had for nearly 6 months and we booked a mini getaway for the weekend. Kristen was completely amazing! With updated photos throughout the day and updates about feeding, play time, etc., our Don Julio may have been hesitant in the beginning (who would blame him) but warmed up extremely quick and has some great new friends! Thank you again Kristen for watching our boy and I promise the next time we come up, we will plan a visit for him to reunite with his besties!”

About: Senior dog care experience Clean and healthy environment Work from home professional I live in a detached home with a backyard which the dogs can enjoy supervised. Most importantly, I will provide a comfortable and loving environment for your furry friend as if they were my own. I work a professional job full time from home, making it incredibly easy to provide the attention they need as well as to ensure they're safe and comfortable. I go for daily walks and have a backyard which I can let the dogs out throughout the day. The scheduling and attention is not a challenge given my work arrangements. I have a miniature poodle (Theo) myself and can take on 1 small dog at a time. There will be no other pets or dogs present during my care asides from Theo. Given my work arrangements, I have the ability to take care and watch the dogs at all times. I do not crate the animals unless you specifically require it. For the safety of my own dog, I ask that you do not book with me unless your dog is friendly with other dogs.
About: I have 10+ years taking care of people's homes, dogs, cats, tortoises, birds and plants. I can take your dog for a walk twice a day or hang out with them so they are not lonely I do not drive; however, if you are located in Orillia or within a 10-minute radius, I am available to accommodate services during both daytime and nighttime hours. I can't have animals at my apartment but can always come to your place where you and your animal is most comfortable. While I am at your place I can always water your plants and bring in your mail.
“Kenena was very easy to communicate with and sent us lots of nice updates during our dogs stay. It’s clear of her love of dogs :), a natural with them. Kenena also has a great set up with a large yard for the dogs to play in and they can even go outside through a doggie door on their own. I would definitely use Kenena again!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Bracebridge
We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Wayne! Our 5½ year old Golden Retriever, Reign, spent the day with him and had the absolute best time. She immediately felt comfortable with Wayne when we dropped her off, which gave us such peace of mind. Wayne kept in touch throughout the day with updates on how Reign was doing and even sent us some wonderful pictures. His beautiful property is the perfect place for dogs to relax, explore, and enjoy themselves, and the quiet road made it even better. We highly recommend Wayne to anyone looking for someone who will genuinely care for their dog and make them feel right at home. Thank you, Wayne, for taking such great care of our Reign!

Wayne and his wife were great with our Nala girl. She met friends next door and Wayne has a wonderful property that allows her to run and play. They gave her all their attention and were focused solely on her. She will be going back and we feel very at ease with it.

The best experience ever! We met with Tracy and her dog Lucy a few weeks before the booked stay to let our dogs meet, and for me to ask questions as this was my first time using rover. Tracy watched our dog this past weekend and sounds like he had a great time! Tracy sent me multiple updates and pictures during the stay. Tracy was very accommodating to my timelines (drop off/pick up). Sounds like the whole family really enjoyed having my dog and we will definitely be using Tracy and her family again next time. I can’t thank them enough for taking great care of my fur baby.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
