“Debra took such great care of our girl. She provided updates each day and made sure Fanta got lots of outside time and walks. She even accommodated a change in drop off when we ran into a travel snag. Would recommend her for sure!”

“Julianne was great for boarding out medium-large golden doodle for a couple of nights. She communicated with photos and texts to let us know how it was going and what they were up to. Julianne followed our feeding instructions to the letter.”

“Aditya and Ipshita were great with my dog. They were very professional and kept be updated on his day of fun with them. They truly do love dogs and that is shown in the care they take to make sure they are well taken cared of.”

“Lisa was amazing with my 2 year old bouvier, Molly. I was sent pictures of her walking, resting, investigating Lisa's home and yard. I would definitely recommend her and will use her again if needed. It was Molly's first time away from family and she had never met Lisa before. I was nervous that Molly might cause problems, but she was very comfortable with Lisa. Thank you for such great care.”

“Amanda cared for my mom’s dog, Danny, for five weeks, and I truly don’t know what I would have done without her. She was an absolute lifesaver. From the moment she took him in, she kept me updated with regular messages and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind. She handled everything from pick‑ups, drop‑offs, and daily care with kindness, reliability, and genuine affection for Danny. It’s rare to find someone who treats your pet like their own, but Amanda did exactly that. She went above and beyond in every way, and I am so grateful for the care, attention, and love she gave him. I would recommend her without hesitation.”

“Ruby had a fantastic stay with Danielle over the weekend; she didn’t even want to leave when we got there to pick her up! Danielle took amazing care of Ruby and instantly made her feel right at home. She gave her lots of attention and affection and lots of photo updates. She truly is the dachshund whisperer! I would definitely recommend her for dogs with separation anxiety. We’re very grateful she was available!”

“Dale is an amazing, responsible, heartfelt “animal lover”. I am so thankful that I found her because I will certainly use her again in the future. She looked after two of my dogs, a large “mastiff x american bulldog” and her tiny companion “chihuahua x min. pinscher” with no issues at all. Dale has a calm, easy going disposition that any animal would feel completely comfortable around. For first timers, she likes to meet the pets in advance, which is fantastic (especially for dogs) and you’ll know from that first meeting you’ll be in good hands with no worry at all. I received daily texts, photos and updates on the dogs, how they were adjusting, eating and sleeping. Her and her husband were very flexible with the dogs routines, ensuring that their overall needs for comfort and mental health were met - because all dogs become a little stressed when they’re left by their owners for a week or two. After the first two days, both dogs were like putty in her hands. Dale has a great connection with animals and has the foresight to read between the lines on meeting their personal needs. She is a keeper in my books, and anyone who is able to book her, you are in VERY good hands!”

“Shannon was great with Aries. He was happy and got updates daily on how he was settling in and enjoying his time with Lola. So glad we could enjoy our week away knowing he was being loved and cared for so well.”

“Geo and Amanda were great! Lots of pictures sent for updates the dogs were extremely comfortable and happy to be with them. We’ve already rebooked for the next time! Thanks so much”

“Carlayne took care of our girl for a week. We felt very comfortable leaving her with Carlayne. She gave us regular updates and photos while we were away. Our girl looked happy, she was cuddled lots taken for lots of walks . We felt like she was treated like she was at home. We will definitely use Carlyne again. Thx”

“Susan Y took care of our older pompoo, Eddie, for 2 nights. Eddie didn’t want to leave when I went to pick him up, and he’s got a pretty good home life! My first impression of Susan Y is that she’s friendly, personable and communicative! She will be the first person I call if we need someone to take care of Eddie again! We are definitely done with kennels!”

“Krissy was a great fit for boarding our older terrier for a weekend away. She was very responsive and shared lots of pics our our little guy having fun with the other dogs. We'd definitely use Krissy again!”

“We have nothing but fantastic things to say about Sharon. We left our Lily with Sharon for 10 days while we were on vacation and she was very well looked after while we were away. Sharon sent us frequent messages and photos/videos which was a really nice for us to see that Lily was happy and enjoying herself. We would highly recommend Sharon to others and will definitely book her again in the future!! 10+++”

“Polo always comes back happy and gets a good brushing too. Karyn is always very accommodating with drop off and pick up times. Highly recommend Karyn for your peace of mind while away from your furry family members.”

“Natalia was extra accommodating when we we're in a pinch. She went above and beyond to help out when we needed her. I definitely recommend her to anyone who needs their puppy to be taken care of by extra special person.”

“Kim cared for my Gemma for two nights during Thanksgiving weekend. I could not have been happier with the love and care she provided. She forwarded many pictures which helped so much to ease my mind and to put a smile on my face. Thanks so very much Kim! I will not hesitate to reach out to you again in the future.”

“Sheila took wonderful care of our dog, Red, while we were away on a road trip. From the beginning, her communication was excellent, and she sent us the occasional photo and video, which we really appreciated. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing Red was in such good hands, allowing us to truly relax and enjoy our trip. We came home to a happy, well-cared-for pup and wouldn’t hesitate to have Sheila watch Red again. Highly recommend!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Orillia
Danielle really went above my expectations while dogsitting! She not only took my 4 yo Golden for walks but found opportunities to socialize her in new places. When it was extremely hot outside, she took her to the lake to cool off. Danielle provided me with daily updates and followed my directions well. I will definitely use her services again should I need a dogsitter. I never had to worry that my dig was being well cared for. Thanks so much, Danielle!

I left my little dog Sofie with Krissy for 4 nights. She seemed to adjust well. Krissy sent many photos and videos and updates while I was away. I really appreciated that. Sofie loved her walks and running in the backyard. I would highly recommend Krissy and will use her again in the future.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they do not have any disqualifying offences.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
