I usually hesitate to leave him for long periods because of his anxiety and it always worries me, but with Nicole’s expertise with rescue dogs, constant communication, and picture/video updates of Pavlov, I had peace of mind. I’m grateful she and her family were able to care for him and accommodate him despite some adjustments. Pavlov is very lovable but is currently challenging to care for, especially with other dogs around. So I really appreciate the time, effort, and extra snacks they gave him to make sure he was happy and felt at home!”
“Irene is the absolute best. My family left our dog, Sherlock, for a resort vacation. Little did we know we left Sherlock at a resort as well! Irene went above and beyond to take care of Sherlock. He had a lot of anxiety for the first hour, but Irene took care of that, making sure he felt comfortable and safe. She took him on walks, used games to keep his mind occupied and gave him lots of love! Irenes house and land is perfectly set up for dogs to explore and enjoy. This made me feel much at ease as I don’t want to leave my pup with someone irresponsible. The meet and greet was structured very well, chatting with us, having a checklist of questions, and then leaving our dog with him for several minutes to check his behavior without us around. Afterwards, the follow-up messages prior to our pup’s arrival were also sent timely. Finally, when we dropped off our doggo, Ben gave us lots of updates and photos, which were reassuring to know that my pup was safe and having a good time. About: I adopted Raya almost 2 years ago from the OSPCA after wanting to add a furry family member. Raya is the first cat I have owned. “We were going to be out of town for ten days, and Jason agreed to take care of our cats. One of our cats is an orange boy who is extremely social, and our other calico is usually quite shy. Jason brought out the best in our cats while we were away. Our orange knew when he was coming and would wait by the door for him, and our calico didn’t run from him as if he was a vacuum cleaner. Every visit was accompanied by pictures of each cat (unless our calico was snoozing in our boxspring) and everything went off without a hitch! We never once felt concerned that our cats weren’t getting the attention they needed, and the pictures every visit helped with how much we missed them while we were away. All instructions were closely followed, and communication was consistent and concise. We will be re-booking with Jason for future cat-sitting needs!”

About: Although I have only recently joined Rover, I have been around dogs my entire life and have experience caring for both puppies and seniors! My youngest pup is 3 years old and my oldest is 11 years old. My senior dog has a variety of health issues, so I am familiar with administering medications to keep your pups happy and healthy. My senior dog is also a bit more anxious, so I am fairly knowledgeable on making a nervous dog a bit more comfortable. Although I did not grow up with cats, I have lots of experience cat sitting for friends and am very comfortable playing and hanging out with them. I am here to make sure your furry friends feel all the love when you’re away at work or when life gets busy! I recently graduated from the University of Alberta and am working part-time as I settle into the post-grad life, so I have tons of time to check in on your furry friends! I am currently accepting bookings up to 1 day in advance. My schedule is very flexible and I am available every day of the week all day except 1pm-8pm Mondays and Thursdays. As of right now, I am only able to check in on pets in my clients’ homes. Check ins include playing with the pet, giving food/water, administering medications as instructed, going on walks, and cleaning litter boxes as needed. About: Whilst growing up i've always had a dog in my life to take care of weather its walking, dog sitting or caring. My LOVE for dogs will always be a big part of my life. About: Hi! My name is Sam 🙋♀️I've had cats, days old bottle fed rescue kittens and multiple kittens litters, gerbils, and even a chinchilla growing up. Now I have a 9 year old 80lb American Bully, Odin, and almost 7 year old cat, Mittens. I also am currently doing daily potty breaks for two puppies, one being a senior dog for a couple who live in my parents neighborhood. My dog Odin is very high anxiety with many allergies and a skin condition. So I can understand the stress of making sure you are leaving your family members in the right care. I am highly compassionate and live by taking care and supporting people, animals and things that can be seen as vunerable or easily taken advantage of. I took a step back from my full-time job to be able to help my mom with some complicated medical issues she is dealing with. After working with these two puppies during the day and my love for my animals, I thought this may be the perfect opportunity to turn a hobby (animal loving) into a more full time job. About: Although I have only recently joined Rover, I have been around dogs my entire life and have experience caring for both puppies and seniors! My youngest pup is 3 years old and my oldest is 11 years old. My senior dog has a variety of health issues, so I am familiar with administering medications to keep your pups happy and healthy. My senior dog is also a bit more anxious, so I am fairly knowledgeable on making a nervous dog a bit more comfortable. Although I did not grow up with cats, I have lots of experience cat sitting for friends and am very comfortable playing and hanging out with them. I am here to make sure your furry friends feel all the love when you’re away at work or when life gets busy! I recently graduated from the University of Alberta and am working part-time as I settle into the post-grad life, so I have tons of time to check in on your furry friends! I am currently accepting bookings up to 1 day in advance. My schedule is very flexible and I am available every day of the week all day except 1pm-8pm Mondays and Thursdays. As of right now, I am only able to check in on pets in my clients’ homes. Check ins include playing with the pet, giving food/water, administering medications as instructed, going on walks, and cleaning litter boxes as needed. I may also bring some surprise treats depending on your dogs diet :)
About: I have alot of love and affection to give to animals. I love to look after pets because it allows me to care for and love the pets while their owners are away. I have a large fenced yard where the animals can play and get their exercise in a secure area. I love to walk so walking dogs gives me the opportunity to get some exercise as well as make them happy. We had a beautiful husky of our own, but my oldest daughter took her when she moved out because her boyfriend had a dog, and I miss having animals in the house. I usually hesitate to leave him for long periods because of his anxiety and it always worries me, but with Nicole’s expertise with rescue dogs, constant communication, and picture/video updates of Pavlov, I had peace of mind. I’m grateful she and her family were able to care for him and accommodate him despite some adjustments. Pavlov is very lovable but is currently challenging to care for, especially with other dogs around.
