Afterwards, the follow-up messages prior to our pup’s arrival were also sent timely. Finally, when we dropped off our doggo, Ben gave us lots of updates and photos, which were reassuring to know that my pup was safe and having a good time. “Our girl, Daya (part retriever and part collie) had a great time with Melissa and family while Daya's human family were away on vacation. Daya's second family (Melissa and family) kept her active and engaged with off-leash outings and lots of interaction with animals and humans. Melissa has two girl doggies who are half of Daya's age and that was great for keeping Daya active and on her toes. These two girl doggies are extremely fun loving and playful. There was a lot of great human interaction too from Melissa and her human family. We know this because of all of the written updates Melissa provided us that were augmented by pictures and videos. We also know Daya felt comfortable and at home based on where and how she slept, and the absence of in-house accidents (which she can do when stressed or anxious). It was very apparent that Daya felt at home, comfortable, and was very well taken care of, again based on the updates and photos/videos, but also on how happy, fit, and good natured she was when we picked her up. Daya and our human family very highly recommend Melissa, her four legged, and human family, for Dog sitting/boarding.”

I currently have a cat of my own, and one of my most rewarding experiences was fostering nine abandoned kittens and bottle feeding them until they were old enough to thrive on their own. most of the gifts I receive are cat themed but everyone in my life knows how much I love them. About: I was lucky enough to share 15 years with my dog Kaya, raising her from a 2-month-old pup until her final day. “Harika is an excellent sitter. I contacted her to dog sit (with drop off in 30 minutes) and she responded promptly and accepted my request. Then later I asked for an hour extension and she accommodated me. I ended up being an extra half hour. During my dog’s stay (5 1/2 hrs) she sent me many pictures, fed and walked my dog. The home is very nice and clean. I would absolutely request services again when I have to be in Edmonton. Thanks again!”

About: I've taken care of pets (both cats and dogs) my entire life and can honestly say I love animals more than I like most people🤷🏼♀️ I would literally use myself as a human shield to protect them. The little guy in my profile picture is Oscar. He is my little boy and he passed away last October at 16 years old and I miss him so dearly. I've trained him as a puppy, raised him and took care of him as a senior when he lost his hearing and had dementia as well as tending to his dietary needs during that time. I am also the designated pet sitter for all my friends, family and neighbors because they trust me and know I have full availability to watch them 24/7. I can assure you your pet will be treated with the utmost care when they are with me, I'm what most people would call a "helicopter mom" (which I actually think is a good thing!) when it comes to pets and I treat them all as if they are my own ❤️ I'm home full time so I have 100% availability for walking/boarding/daycare and anything in between. I can take them out as often as needed and have unlimited time to spend tiring them out 😆 I will feed your dog according to their eating schedule, provide lots of enrichment activities to keep them entertained, and make sure they get as much exercise as they need everyday. My husband and I are very active people who do alot of walking so your dog will get plenty of walks while they are with me! I live in a very safe pet friendly apartment on the ground floor with a walk out patio for quick and easy access to potty. There is tons of greenery around and even a designated gated area to bring them to run around. There is also a dog wash in the building and plenty of walking trails right around the apartment, very safe area with lots of furry friends around(which are ALWAYS leashed, don't worry!) They are free to sleep wherever they feel most comfortable, including the bed. No furniture is off limits at my house 😊

About: I am fortunate to have a flexible schedule that allows me to be available to you and your pet on short notice. Not only is my schedule accommodating, so is my home and my pet education. Over the past 14ys, I have been closely involved with many different animal orientated facilities. My personal pup was certified with The Chimo Project which is now called CAAWLS. This organization recruits and certifies wellness animals for Animal Assisted Intervention (AAI) services. Involvement with this company was both rewarding for my pup and myself. I also volunteer my time with Dogs With Wings (DWW). A non-profit organization that does amazing things. About: Although I have only recently joined Rover, I have been around dogs my entire life and have experience caring for both puppies and seniors! My youngest pup is 3 years old and my oldest is 11 years old. My senior dog has a variety of health issues, so I am familiar with administering medications to keep your pups happy and healthy. My senior dog is also a bit more anxious, so I am fairly knowledgeable on making a nervous dog a bit more comfortable. Although I did not grow up with cats, I have lots of experience cat sitting for friends and am very comfortable playing and hanging out with them. I am here to make sure your furry friends feel all the love when you’re away at work or when life gets busy! I recently graduated from the University of Alberta and am working part-time as I settle into the post-grad life, so I have tons of time to check in on your furry friends! I am currently accepting bookings up to 1 day in advance. My schedule is very flexible and I am available every day of the week all day except 1pm-8pm Mondays and Thursdays. As of right now, I am only able to check in on pets in my clients’ homes. About: Hi! My name is Sam 🙋♀️I've had cats, days old bottle fed rescue kittens and multiple kittens litters, gerbils, and even a chinchilla growing up. Now I have a 9 year old 80lb American Bully, Odin, and almost 7 year old cat, Mittens. I also am currently doing daily potty breaks for two puppies, one being a senior dog for a couple who live in my parents neighborhood. My dog Odin is very high anxiety with many allergies and a skin condition. So I can understand the stress of making sure you are leaving your family members in the right care. I am highly compassionate and live by taking care and supporting people, animals and things that can be seen as vunerable or easily taken advantage of. I took a step back from my full-time job to be able to help my mom with some complicated medical issues she is dealing with. After working with these two puppies during the day and my love for my animals, I thought this may be the perfect opportunity to turn a hobby (animal loving) into a more full time job. Me, as a person, am very responsible, respectful, easy going, quiet, and empathetic. I have many hobbies like gardening, skiing, painting, camping, baking and golfing. My family of 2 step boys and Fiancé are all active and enjoy being outside. I am a certified nail technician aswell but mostly only do family and friends. I am currently helping my mom with general home care taking and errands. The hours a very flexible so I am able to work about your schedule! I love to go on walks so if allowed I could take them out for an evening walk or car ride. Play games in the backyard. Watch a movie together and cuddle up. Give them their favorite approved treats and tell them how much of a good boy they are haha

“Jinny is an amazing sitter. Very patient and kind to my puppy. It’s my puppy’s first time ever to stay at another house snd Jinny made her feel at home. She sends videos and pictures and updates every single day which took our worries away. Her kids are amazing too snd showed my puppy some love by playing and feeling her. “Our girl, Daya (part retriever and part collie) had a great time with Melissa and family while Daya's human family were away on vacation. Daya's second family (Melissa and family) kept her active and engaged with off-leash outings and lots of interaction with animals and humans. Melissa has two girl doggies who are half of Daya's age and that was great for keeping Daya active and on her toes. These two girl doggies are extremely fun loving and playful. There was a lot of great human interaction too from Melissa and her human family. We know this because of all of the written updates Melissa provided us that were augmented by pictures and videos. We also know Daya felt comfortable and at home based on where and how she slept, and the absence of in-house accidents (which she can do when stressed or anxious). It was very apparent that Daya felt at home, comfortable, and was very well taken care of, again based on the updates and photos/videos, but also on how happy, fit, and good natured she was when we picked her up. Daya and our human family very highly recommend Melissa, her four legged, and human family, for Dog sitting/boarding.”

“We cant say enough good things about Polly-Anna!!! Her and her family took such great care of our girl. It was our first time leaving her for longer than one night, Polly-Anna sent us lots of picture and video updates. Her three pups took to luna right away and put up with her wild puppy energy! There is very secure fencing for when she was outside, she even got to meet rabbits, pigs, chickens and turkeys(through the fence)!! We feel lucky to have found someone who loves and cares for our fur baby as much as we do. We have already re booked for when we are away next and will recommend her to anyone we know needing pet care🙂”
