How to Enter
To enter the ‘Walk it with Lockett’ competition, create an account on Rover.com and email walkitwithlockett@rover.com with the following details:- Your name and your dog’s name
- A picture(s) of your dog with no more than 100 words about why they deserve to win
- The email address associated with your Rover account
- Your phone number

Competition: The ‘WALK IT WITH LOCKETT’ competition (the “Competition”) is operated and sponsored by A Place for Rover, Inc. (“Rover”) of 711 Capitol Way S., Suite 204, Olympia, WA 98501.
1. Entry to the Competition
1.1 To enter the Competition, (a) email walkitwithlockett@rover.com with a picture(s) of your dog and no more than 100 words about why your dog deserves to be walked by Tyler Lockett, along with your name, your dog’s name, and your telephone number, and (b) create a Rover.com account for your dog or show proof of an existing account by sharing the email address associated with your account within your email submission (the “Entry”).
1.2 Rover is giving away one dog walk with Tyler Lockett on the terms and conditions as further described herein.
1.3 The Competition will be open to entrants from 9:00 am (PT) on Thursday, January 9, 2025, and will close at 6:00 pm (PT) on Thursday, January 16, 2025. Any Entries received after the closing time will be ineligible for consideration
2. Eligibility
2.1 Only one Entry per person is allowed. No third-party or bulk Entries will be permitted.
2.2 Entrants must be aged 18 years or older and be legal residents of Seattle, Washington. For the avoidance of doubt, this Competition is not open to residents outside of Seattle proper.
2.3 Rover accepts no responsibility for Entries that fail to be received or delivered. Proof of submission is not proof of entry.
2.4 Rover reserves the right to verify the eligibility of entrants and may deny entry at its sole discretion. Rover does not accept liability for any ineligible Entries.
2.5 Rover may request any relevant information it views as reasonably necessary to verify eligibility. Failure to provide such information upon request will result in Rover denying eligibility for the Competition.
2.6 By entering the Competition, you grant to Rover (and any division or affiliate of Rover), without additional compensation: (a) the right to use and publish your name, your social media handle(s), likeness and other submission information, and (b) a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to display, publish, reproduce, communicate to the public, perform, distribute, adapt, edit, modify, translate, create derivative works based on, and otherwise use and sublicense, your entry, or any portion thereof, via Facebook, Instagram, X, Rover’s website, and in Rover’s trade, advertising or other promotional materials in any media, without further compensation or notification to, or permission from you or any third party. For these purposes, you (or the photographer/creator of the Entry, if not you) waive all “moral rights” under any applicable law to either object to modification of your Entry or require artistic credit in conjunction with your Entry. To the extent such waivers are not permitted by applicable law, you (or the photographer/creator) agree not to enforce such moral rights against Rover.
2.7 You agree that it is your sole responsibility to obtain all permissions and releases necessary for the grant of the rights contained in these Official Rules. You also agree to take, at Rover’s expense (but without compensation to you), any further action (including, without limitation, execution of affidavits, licenses, and other documents) reasonably requested by Rover to effect, perfect, or confirm Rover’s rights set forth in these Official Rules. Rover will have no obligation to publish, use or retain any Entry you submit or to return any such Entry to you.
2.8 Directors, officers and employees of Rover and any of their respective affiliate companies, subsidiaries, agents, professional advisors, development and promotional partners, and advertising and promotional agencies, and immediate families of each, are not eligible to win any prizes.
3. The Prize
3.1 There will be one (1) winner of the Competition.
3.2 The prize consists of one dog walk with Tyler Lockett in Seattle, Washington to take place January, 2025 in a location and for a duration to be determined by Rover in its sole discretion.
3.3 The prize is non-transferable.
3.4 The prize is as stated and the winner acknowledges that the winner is not entitled to obtain another product or cash alternative from Rover. However, Rover reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value for any prize.
3.5 All applicable expenses not specified in the prize description are the sole responsibility of the winner.
4. Selecting the Winner
4.1 From the total number of eligible Entries received, one (1) winner will be selected by the Rover team. Rover will select one winning entry that the Rover team determines, in its sole discretion, to be the most apt, interesting and appealing based on the following judging criteria: originality of photo(s) and whether the dog looks to be the biggest football fan in the Seattle area and quality of argument put forward in the text as to why they should win the prize. Odds of winning depend on the quality and number of eligible Entries received. Many will enter, only one will win.
4.2 Rover will select and notify the winner by email before 9:00 am (PT) on Monday, January 20, 2025 (“Notification Date”). The winner will be asked to email walkitwithlockett@rover.com to confirm acceptance of the prize. The winner may also be asked to, within 3 days, (1) provide to Rover further contact and residence information; and (2) execute and deliver a written affidavit of eligibility, acceptance of these Official Rules, release of liability/publicity, tax forms, and other reasonable documentation.
5. Claiming Your Prize
5.1 If Rover does not receive a response from the winner within 24 hours of being notified or does not timely receive the information and documents requested in Section 4.2, Rover reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to deem the prize as unaccepted and to offer the prize to another entrant.
5.2 If a prize is not accepted by the winner in accordance with the terms above, Rover may select another winner via the same process used to select the initial winner. Such subsequent winner will be notified as per clause 4.2, save that such notification will be later than one day after the Notification Date.
6. Privacy
6.1 Personal data provided to Rover for the purpose of entering the competition will be processed in accordance with the Rover Privacy Statement and as otherwise set out in these Official Rules.
7. Other Restrictions
7.1 Rover shall be entitled to terminate or modify the Competition or to modify these Official Rules at any time prior to the closing date of the Competition by publishing any such modification or termination on any Rover or Rover-controlled website or webpage.
7.2 Failure to comply with any aspect of these Official Rules will result in the invalidation of your Entry. In the event of a dispute, the decision of Rover shall be final and binding, and cannot be appealed.
7.3 Rover reserves the right to promote this Competition on Rover, Facebook.com, Instagram.com, X (formally Twitter.com), and LinkedIn.com subject to the terms and conditions governing the use of the aforementioned websites.
7.4 Rover shall be under no obligation to run the Competition or award prizes in the event it is unable to do so due to circumstances or causes beyond its reasonable control. You agree that by entering this Competition, Rover will not be liable for such events described in the preceding sentence.
7.5 Rover accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrant resulting from entering this Competition or by the entrant’s acceptance of the prize, provided that Rover does not exclude or limit liability for any liability that cannot be excluded by law and nothing shall exclude Rover’s liability for fraud or death or personal injury resulting from its negligence.
7.6 This Competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. Facebook, Instagram, X (formally Twitter) and LinkedIn shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or liability caused by matters relating to this Competition.
7.7 This Competition shall be governed by the laws of Washington State, and all disputes arising from it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Washington state or federal courts.
8. General Terms and Conditions
8.1 Rover reserves the right to amend these Official Rules or to terminate the Competition where it becomes necessary to do so, as determined by Rover in its sole discretion. If amendments become necessary, Rover will follow the procedures in clause 7.1 or, if the period for submissions has ended, will inform and provide an overview of the relevant amendments to all valid entrants by email.
8.2 Any provision of these Official Rules deemed unenforceable will be enforced to the extent permissible, and the remainder of these Official Rules will remain in effect.
