We will collect a 20% service fee (25% in California) on the amount the pet owner agrees to pay you in a booking. This fee goes toward marketing to pet parents to help you continually acquire new clients, site and app maintenance, 24/7 Rover Support for you and your clients, and much more to support your business.
When you create your profile, you’ll be prompted to set up a payment method through our third party payment processor, Stripe.

Certification and Qualifications FAQs
We have an internally maintained list of approved certifications. We evaluate each certification based on the curriculum and the methodologies taught.
We ask for credentials when someone submits their profile. If a certification directory is available online, we also cross-reference that individual with the official organization website.
We ask that our trainers have credentials and practice reward-based training. We do not have a minimum experience requirement.
General Feedback and Sentiment FAQs
We believe everyone deserves the unconditional love of a pet—and at Rover, our mission is to make it easier to experience that love. We want to make it easier for the pet parents on the platform to find trainers because we believe training makes the relationship between pets and pet owners a stronger one. Training can help keep dogs in homes, and some studies have also shown that training can boost adoption rates for dogs in shelters.
Not at all, in fact, more trained dogs on the platform is a great outcome for all providers.
