“I live with Sarah and she takes care of my dog Ice when I work full time. He loves her almost more than he loves me I tend to think sometimes, but it’s awesome to see how close they are. She’s patient with him and always has been and she is very attentive to him.”
2. Alexis C.

About: I have always loved spending time with animals, and have always helped out my relatives and neighbors with their own. I have helped with energetic puppies, property guard dogs, and the old and sick dogs. I can feed them, walk them, play with them, bathe them and help with any other grooming, and give medication. I enjoy spending time with them and just getting to know each animal (but dogs, cats, and horses especially) individually and doing what they enjoy weather it's hiking a forest trail or lazing on the coach. I am a student in university and have classes everyday. If I am pet sitting during the weekend, there are a few hours between morning and afternoon where I will be gone. I made sure to follow the feeding and walking schedule given to me by the owners. If dogs are let off leash outside I make sure it's in a gated area or in the way the owners are comfterable with. I watch to make sure they don't eat anything, or get into dangerous interactions with other animals. At the moment I can't board and dogs in my house but that will change in the future.

“Emma was wonderful! Sadie isn’t the easiest to walk (curious beagle), but Emma really kept up with her. She was extremely patient with Sadie and took her on nice long walks. I definitely recommend Emma for your dog walking needs!”

About: As an experienced pet sitter and someone who has dogs of her own, I stand out by offering personalized care tailored to each pet's unique needs. From puppy training to gentle senior care, I excel in providing specialized attention that ensures the comfort and well-being of every furry friend. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for animal welfare, I go above and beyond to create a nurturing environment where pets thrive. I am currently a student at Quincy University. When caring for pets in a client's home, I prioritize creating a safe, comfortable, and familiar environment for the animals. This includes following the owner's instructions regarding feeding schedules, medication administration, exercise routines, and any specific care requirements. I maintain open communication with the client to provide regular updates on their pet's well-being and address any concerns promptly. Additionally, I ensure the home environment is kept clean and tidy, respecting the client's space while providing attentive care to their beloved pets.
7. Austin B.
“Austin took care of my 4 dogs while I was on vacation for two weeks. He did an amazing job. I always felt like my dogs were safe and taken care of. He sent pictures with updates so I could keep up with how my dogs were doing. I wrote him a list on how to feed them and what to do to take care of them and he followed the directions everyday which I very much appreciated. Austin is great with animals and I would recommend him to anyone.”

About: I’ve had dogs in my family my entire life! Adopted my own dog about 5 years ago, a rescue that came with many challenges but has become a confident and loving dog! My fiancé and I adopted our own puppy about 6 months ago! I’ve worked to train him on basic tasks like walking, to more advanced and fun tricks! I work in college athletics, so while some seasons are really busy, I always have summer and breaks off! Flexible schedule during the school year. I take both of my dogs outside on the leash often for both bathroom needs, and walks. Our puppy crates well. They have 2x/day mealtimes, and water in multiple bowls available at all times.

About: Spring of 2003 began my involvement with pet rescue and care. I've assisted in the births of a number of litters and potty trained dogs. We have 2 cats, a miniature pinscher pup. Laid back home. I love to jog so high energy dogs welcome as well. We do smoke marijuana in the home. Update: I have recently relocated back to Quincy to be closer to family for personal reasons and going back to work. Originally: I am taking time off from working to start training our pup as a service dog after potty training is complete and to begin online college classes in January. We have a large Victorian home and large unfenced yard. We love high energy animals, especially those who like rabbits. We have teenagers & a 9 year old who LOVE all animals. For house sitting fur babies, I am a laid back yet active care giver. I do NOT physically discipline them so don't ask me to do so. Strong vocal tone & consistency or water spray bottles are it.

About: I’ve worked as a boarding and daycare supervisor for the top daycare/boarding agencies in Des Moines for 3+ years. I worked for Stylin Paws Play Place and Downtown Doggy Daycare. I sat for neighbors and friends growing up. I’ve also worked in the caregiving field for 8+ years. I’ve worked in senior care, as well as with children with developmental disabilities. I’m currently out of town taking care of my grandparents, after my grandfathers open heart surgery. He’s in a stable place so my availability is all day, each day of the week. I only have classes on Saturday and Sunday from 4pm-5pm but those are done over zoom. I have more than enough time and love to go around! I promise I will provide your pets with a safe, caring, loving environment. Whatever you ask, I will do my best to provide. I will take care of your pets with the same compassion, I give to all animals and people. I will provide your pets with a new best friend, they’ll look forward to seeing!

“Thanks so much. You are the best!”
12. Paige C.
“Paige is very responsible with our 3 golden retrievers. She deeply cares for animals and is always very dependable when asked to care for our dogs. We never have to worry about their care, other than she spoils them often with extra treats and car rides for pup cups! She has trained 2 of them to walk better on the leash and to do basic commands such as sitting, waiting and shaking.”

About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was young, from pet sitting for neighbors to taking care of my own pets. I have had cats and dogs in my home since before I can remember and now have two dogs of my own. I just recently finished up volunteering at the local zoo to help feed and take care of the animals. Any time I can spend with animals, I do! I can’t wait to care for your family pet! I am currently off for the summer, so I will have plenty of time to walk and play with your pet whenever you need it! I have two friendly dogs to keep your pup entertained, their names are Benson and Remington. I have a crate in my home if that helps your pet feel safe or they are able to stay out. We typically go for 3-4 walks per day.

18. Madeline P.
About: I am 26 years old with a 4 month old Golden retriever and a 8 month old Yorkshire Terrier. I grew up always wanting to do a job with pets, but couldn't seem to find the right fit. Also always wanted to help people so I figured I get both of those within pet sitting. I am a fun, active, loving person who just wants the best not only for my pet, but other pets as well. I treat animals just like people because to me they are. With having my dogs, I see a whole other side of me that they brought. Your pet will have the best care with me and I can assure that they will get the same love from me and your pet does from you. Sincerely, Madeline. My jobs allow me to make my own schedule any day or time. I will be available whenever you need my services to come care for your pet/pets. I have a fenced in backyard for my dogs and they are both on a schedule. Both of my dogs get let out and fed in the morning, afternoon, and evening. I take my Yorkshire terrier out more because he is small and has a small bladder. I don't let my dogs outside to play if it is above 80 or below 25 degrees. When I am gone my Golden Retriever has a play area and my Yorkshire Terrier is in a spacious kennel. When I am home, both of them play together either outside or inside.
