“Emily is amazing. She not only walked my extra-energetic doggo, but made sure she was fed and watered, went potty, and spent time playing with her. 10/10 would recommend!”

About: I've taken care of dogs and cats since I was in middle school and grew up with horses at my grandfather'shouse. As an adult, I have spent time working in a Vet Clinic in the boarding facility. I loved working with the boarders and the strays that came in. I also have the joy of helping take care of our in house ferrets, lizards, and birds. Currently I have 3 dogs and 3 cats, all rescues. Including a diabetic kitty who takes daily insulin. I am comfortable with providing injections, chaging pet diapers, and snuggling all sizes of fur babies. I currently work part time as a personal trainer and have a lot of free time that I would love to fill by taking care of your fur baby. I understand the importance of each animals routine and am comfortable with indoor and outdoor playtime, crating or not, and following your specific food schedule needs.

About: I have owned dogs since I was a child and currently have two, very spoiled, dogs (German Shepard and German Shepard Akita mix). I have experience with new puppies all they way to senior dogs. I work from home full time, so dogs will never be left alone for a long period of time. I can go let dogs out, walk and play during the day in between meetings. Our yard is not fenced so I will make sure your dog is on a leash when they go outside. My two dogs get along well with other friendly dogs.

About: I currently work as a vet tech and have worked with many dogs with various behavioral issues. I have experience working with dogs that have on leash issues and teaching basic commands! I love dogs of every shape and size and every breed and have lots of experience with all the problem children (looking at you herding breeds, shepherds, bully breeds, northern breeds etc. haha) I currently have a 7 year old Australian Cattle Dog, a 5 year old Australian Kelpie and a 4 year old Border Collie mix who are great with other dogs. We play every day to get out energy, and love going on walks and hikes. If your dogs aren't good off leash or you prefer them to be leashed at all times, I have long 50 foot leashes to allow them the space to play and the security to stay safe. I'm home most of the day and can provide loving and attentive care for your dogs. Send your dogs on a farm vacation and come home from your trip to tired, happy puppers. We will love them like they are our own! Between my husband and I, our work schedule allows one of us to be home every day so the dogs are only alone for the occasional errand, grocery run or appointment. I have 5 acres of spacious beautiful yard and pasture, though it is unfortunately not fully fenced-our neighbors bordering fence is pipe fence that they can get under and through. Our dogs never stray from the yard and our guest pups generally do a great job of staying near by but we keep them on a long 50ft leash unless you are comfortable with them being loose in the yard.
13. Noah M.
“Pancakes has different medications she has to take at different points in the day so after she was first diagnosed I was really nervous about leaving her home alone, especially when I had to go out of town and I couldn’t take her with me. Noah was a friend who offered, and while I was anxious since she wasn’t with me, Noah took care of her very well. When I came back home she was happy and looked taken care of.”

About: I have worked in the pet industry for about 4 years now. I have worked at doggie daycares in St. Louis(Williamsburg Pet Hotel) and here in Kansas City(The Collar Club) I currently work at Nestle Purina as a puppy trainer. I also volunteer at Kc pet project and take shelter dogs out for dog day outs. I have experience with all size and types of dogs. My mom currently lives on a farm with ducks, chickens, 5 dogs and 4 cats. I grew up with animals my whole life and love each and every animal as they are my own. Dogs are such amazing animals and we need them more than they truly need us. All dogs go to heaven. I am currently working full time at Purina Sunday-Wednesday. I am free Thursdays thru Saturdays. I can also do walks Sunday thru Wednesday if needed. I love working with pets In their own home. The dogs are more comfortable and feel safe in their own home. I have a chow/shepherd mix that has anxiety so I am used to dogs that struggle with new people and anxiety.

18. Heidi C.
“When you and your pets meet them, you may recognize the 3 preteens from The Good Lemonade Stand. If not, you can find them on facebook and learn all about how they raised over $2,000 for local schoolteachers. They have a long history of caring for others, entrepreneurship, and making a difference. They have volunteer experience with KC Pet Project and have outdoor/farm animal experience as well. Heidi and these 3 preteens will responsibly care for your companion!”

About: I've always had dog and cats in my life along with a horse at one point in time. This is a side gig and I do work a full-time job. Very friendly with ALL animals. (When people say their dog doesn't like people, I always get along with those ones) I'm working full time but off early everyday around 11am after that I'm free to care for your dog until roughly 9pm. My rate is hourly. Mi casa es su casa. I will most likely be taking them to dog parks and trails unless specified otherwise. I am more than happy to simply walk your block as well.
20. Alayna B.
About: Good afternoon everyone, my name is Alayna and I’ve been working with animals for over 10 years but have just recently join rover. I have experience with a variety of animals including, snakes, lizards/ geckos, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, horses, chickens, cats and dogs. A couple good reasons I stand out from everyone else is that I have experience administering medicine to animals, especially cats, because I’ve been fostering them for about 5 years and I also worked at a vet hospital as a kennel attendant meaning I’ve been around all sizes of dogs plus I’m pretty great at giving baths. Another reason is that I’ve actually owned all the animals I have listed here so I have plenty of experience. I’m currently working full time as a receptionist at a vet hospital but I get an hour lunch break leaving me plenty of time the run back and take care of your fur baby’s as well as being available mornings and nights. When it comes to animal safety I’m all ears, especially when there’s more then one animal lose in the house. I take advice from the owners on how they’d like the animal to be kept such as if they wish to keep their pet in a room instead of free roam. When taking the animal outside, I will always be outside with them so no accidents are to happen. Before leaving the house, I always make sure to pick up or move anything the animal could reach they aren’t suppose to have and put it in a high or closed off area.
