“This was my first time using Rover, and I was hesitant. Dale and Lauren (and family) were fantastic communicators and I received multiple updates each day. You can tell they have a lot of experience and understand dogs really well. Kukui got tons of belly rubs, soft cushions to sleep on, and plenty of fun interaction. In the past, Kukui has eaten only sparingly when we are away. He had a healthy appetite at Dale & Lauren's house -- a testament on how relaxed he was.”

“My dog, Beau, stayed with Nora for a week while I was away. She sent me daily pictures and updates and always responded quickly to messages. Before the week long boarding, we set up a meet & greet and a few hours of daycare to help Beau get adjusted. Nora was great with Beau and I could tell after the daycare that she was a good fit. Beau was happy to return to her home. It was also great that he got along with her dog and her cat. He loves the beach, so Nora was able to take him on walks on the beach a few times while I was away. I also want to note that Beau is a Frenchie and is a high maintenance dog, and Nora did great with him! I recommend booking services with her!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs all my life. As an adult I had a border collie for 9 years. He was our first baby and we miss him deeply every day. I am happy to help our neighbors with dog care and maybe one day be a dog family once again. I work remotely from home. We have a 3 y/o in daycare and my husband works in town. I am available Monday through Friday at the house while most are at work. We have a fully fenced in single family house just a mile from the beach and less distance from Kailua town. We already have a relationship with Kailua vet clinics, Ali’i animal clinic, and feather and fur.

The thought of kenneling (god forbid) my dog always gave me enormous stress. I cannot possibly express how happy I was when I found out that Pat was in the dog boarding business! Pat (and Luther) treated Fiji like he was part of the family. On top of that, Pat's property is any dog's fantasy, a beautiful Eden surrounded by the Ko'olau mountains with plenty of space to be a dog. My only concern was that Fiji was not going to want to come home (thankfully, he grudgingly got into my Tacoma realizing his vacation was over, too). “We had a great experience with Erin and highly recommend her. My dog, Gideon, is 11 months and has never been away from us before. He stayed with Erin for about 10 days while we were out of town and did great. Erin sent me daily pictures of Gideon and kept me posted. He loved playing with her dog and the other dogs who were at her house. Erin has a huge backyard and a great porch, which was perfect for Gideon because he loves to sunbathe.
