“Extremely calm and knowledgeable. Knew exactly how to introduce our Boston Terrier to her own dogs. Everything went smoothly. Her home was immaculate and organized. She sent pictures frequently. Our dog looked extremely relaxed and happy in her home. She came home exhausted from playing in their large fenced in yard. I felt very safe, leaving our precious pup with Meghan.”

“Jessica is amazing with Fur babies. Very accommodating and professional. My Tug love going there. Its always a great day whenever he spends his day with her. Her dog Tashi is very good with other dogs. Tug's favorite retreat is his stay at Jessica's. Highly recommended 👌”

“I cannot say enough great things about Michele! She has given me my life back! I have two little rescues that are highly reactive and do not like anyone, so consequently I have been unable to leave them. After talking with Michele and getting a sense of her experience and patience with rescue.dogs such as mine I decided to give her a try...and it went beautifully! My dogs had a great time with her and loved her...and cannot wait to go back again! Michele is truly not just very much a professional but is gifted with animals as well.”

“So glad to have found Christina to take care of our dog Lucky during our recent trip to the beach. She's warm and friendly and took care of Lucky as if he were her own. She communicated promptly and clearly. She was so flexible with our vacation schedule and sent us adorable pictures of Lucky throughout the day. I'd definitely rebook with Christina, no question.”

“Max had a great stay! It takes him a while to feel comfortable with people, and Bob and Susan went out of their way to accomodate him. They sent pictures and messages throughout the day, letting us know how he was doing. Highly recommend them!”

“Thank you Nicola for having Nova for daycare. Nova always comes home well worn out when he stays with Luna and Nicola. He always has fun. Nicola and her family are very nice and I am happy Nicola is available when I need a sitter. I always know that Nova is well taken care of.”

“I had the pleasure to meet Debra and have her take care of my puppy. Debra was able to take care of my puppy at the last minute. Debra has a beautiful home with lots of space for the pets she cares. My puppy was relaxed and happy. Debra sent me pictures throughout the day. I will definitely book with her again. Debra is an excellent sitter.”

“Jacqueline and William were great! We made a last minute reservation and they accommodated our drop off and pickup times which needed to be flexible since we were going kayaking and uncertain how long it would take. Will definitely use them again the next time we are Trap Pond.”

“Communication from Marilyn from the get go was great. Mark ended up watching our Berner, Nessie, for the day and things went great. Wonderful family to care for our dog! Will reach out again when visiting my parents at the beach.”

“Neena responded right away and was available and gracious in regard to my last minute request! Neena was great at communicating and Daisy was happy and well cared for upon pick up! Would definitely book here again!”

“Great communication! Clean and appropriate environment. Despite Axe's terrible anxiety, he loved Cory and never fussed one bit. We will definitely be using Cory's daycare again!”

“Samantha is absolutely wonderful!!! She watched our dog at her home for an entire day and he was able to play in her nicely fenced yard. He was able to play with her dogs, which he does not get to do as we live in an HOA. I plan on using Samantha in the future when we need someone to care for our dog. I highly recommend her!!!”

About: Taking care of animals brings me so much joy! I live at the beach and love walking dogs through my neighborhood to the beach. I am comfortable controlling big, strong dogs on walks. I grew up with 2 medium sized dogs and have always loved animals. My sister is a veterinarian and is on call if your animal has any issues. I’m in a career transition right now, so your business so greatly appreciated ❤️ I am a yoga instructor working part time, so I have a lot of time for your pets! My typical day is: wake up early, walk the dog I’m caring for, feed the pup, let out again, then teach yoga. I’m gone for about 3 hours then return home for a long walk with the pup :) then we relax at home as I typically work on my computer. Your pup will be the only dog in my house - he or she will have all my love and attention! I am happy to have your pet sleep in my bed and lay on my couch if they want! I love walking and have plenty of have time for long walks. I have training on how to safely handle reactive dogs on leash. My sister is a veterinarian and I have learned a lot from her in case of an emergency. I do not have a fully fenced in yard, but am happy to take your dog to the dog park if that would be helpful to release energy! The beach is also a short walk away :)

“Our pup, Rooney, had a wonderful time at daycare with Martha! I knew Rooney was being well cared for during the day and I knew she had fun because she was thrilled to go back the second day!! Thank you Martha!!”
“I initially thought Trales might not want to come back home with me, especially since Morgan, along with her husband and their two precious fur babies, spoiled him so much. Morgan was incredibly thoughtful and made me feel completely at ease while she was caring for Trales during the times I couldn’t. Her regular updates, photos, and notes about his outdoor potty activities kept me well informed and helped me stay on track with his routine once I picked him up. As a new resident in Delaware, I truly feel lucky to have found Morgan as Trales’s care provider.”

Frequently asked questions about Rover
As of July 2026, there are 152 sitters on Rover offering Doggy Day Care across Zoar. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.
Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Zoar commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in DE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, Rover is well-suited for finding sitters who can care for your pet within 24 hours. With 152 sitters in Zoar, 94% respond to messages in under an hour.
You can message multiple sitters simultaneously to find the fastest available match. If you need care today or tomorrow, you can look for sitters with a "calendar last updated" notice on their profiles.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
