“I couldn't be happier with Alexia & Jay - they are my go-to sitters now! I tried Rover once before; I selected a house sitter, and the person indicated she was staying, but I don't think she spent much time here; there was little sign of her living here and my cat was hysterical and needy when I returned. A young couple for house sitting is a good idea - they won't get lonely or bored by themselves. They were personable, responsible, and responsive, with good communication. They sent me lots of videos every day of my cat being content and entertained. My cat tends to be afraid of men, but she warmed right up to Jay, he was good with her. When I got home kitty greeted me as if I had only come home from the grocery store; she had been well taken care of. Alexia and Jay left the house clean and tidy. I offered to pay them extra for various chores around the house while they were sitting. They were happy to do them, and did a great job. I came home to a house better than how I'd left it. Highly recommended!”

About: Animals have been part of my life for as long as I can remember, and caring for them is truly second nature to me. I’ve worked in a veterinary office for five years—both in the kennel and as a veterinary assistant—so I’m comfortable handling pets with all kinds of needs, from energetic puppies to seniors who need a gentler touch. I earned my Bachelor’s in Animal Science from Virginia Tech and my Master’s in Animal Science from Clemson University. Throughout school, I worked in research labs and on university farms, gaining hands‑on experience with many species and learning how to care for animals in a wide range of situations. I now live in Harpers Ferry with my two dogs and six chickens, and I work for an animal genetics company. Over the years, I’ve cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, cattle, goats, and more. I’ve raised orphaned animals, supported very sick pets, and provided long‑term care for elderly companions. My husband also has experience caring for his family’s pets and helps care for ours, so your pet will always have someone attentive nearby. About: As the proud owners to two wonderful little rescue dogs, a cat, some chickens, guinea fowl, goats and sheep, we know how hard it can be sometimes to find care for your pets and farm animals while you are away. We will provide the same level of care and kindness that I would want and expect for our own spoiled pets. We live on a small farm in rural Western Maryland, about 20 minutes west of Frederick. We have experience with all kinds of animal care, from horses, cows, goats, sheep, and poultry. I am a senior in high school and get out of school around 11:21am and get to my house at 11:30am but anytime from 12 pm to 10pm I will be free! I will offer to feed your pets, buy treats, little bit of exercise and playing, I will make sure they have everything they need and make sure they don’t get into any trouble the best of my ability.
