“Laura was an excellent care provider of our dog, Happy! Happy got sick the day after we left town… He developed pancreatitis…The vet thought from the cicadas he had eaten the days before. Laura checked with us and took him to the ER (vet) because she saw blood in his diarrhea. They kept him for two days for IVs, meds, etc. when he started eating, she was able to take him home and took excellent care of him as though he was her own dog. She cooked chicken, and rice to help him start eating again. Her dog, ‘BOO’ watched over Happy also. She kept us informed with videos and texts every day. When we got back home, Happy was clearly feeling well at Laura‘s home and happy being with BOO. Laura keeps a sharp eye on the dogs. We definitely recommend her!!!”

About: My whole entire life I have had a dog & cat that were/are very well cared for. I have tons of experience making sure your animals will be well taken care of! I have a golden retriever named Harlow, she is kind and loving and loves other animals. I am a full time college student. I normally am done with my days around 3:30 pm. I am available on weekends. I have a job at a hospital and my schedule varies due to making my own schedule. I live in apartmet in Ashland, KY. About: I am looking to provide love and care to your fur babies when you aren’t able to. I have two fur babies of my own currently and have had many in the past. I have experience caring for dogs and cats of all different shapes and sizes! I look forward to meeting your fur babies and caring for them like my own. I work as a bus driver so between my morning and evening run I have plenty of time to make stop ins and check on pet and/or take them for a walk. My partner works from home which provides a flexible schedule. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to care for your pets in my home due to our young children. I've been a volunteer walking dogs at the franklin county dog shelter since April 2024 and am used to various sizes, ages and temperaments. As a nurse of 10 years I'm very comfortable with medication administration and care. I can provide a slip leash for any size dog. I would be happy to meet your fur babies! About: I have had my own dog for the last five years. Before that I have watched dogs for different people in my family while also house sitting. All of these dogs have been big dogs, though mine is a medium sized dog. I am currently not working so I can typically help with pet care at any time of the week. I go back to college at the end of august, so around that time my schedule will change a bit but I should be good every weekend and most afternoons. I take my dog on at least five walks every day. She gets a treat whenever she is done. I also have a large crate that I put her in for when we leave. My dog also has multiple stuffed animals she enjoys playing with.

She cooked chicken, and rice to help him start eating again. Her dog, ‘BOO’ watched over Happy also. She kept us informed with videos and texts every day. When we got back home, Happy was clearly feeling well at Laura‘s home and happy being with BOO. Laura keeps a sharp eye on the dogs. We definitely recommend her!!!”

This allows us to provide more individualized care while reducing stress and eliminating interactions with unfamiliar animals. Each guest has access to a spacious 8' x 6' x 4' kennel, but they're not required to stay inside it. The kennel can remain open, giving them the option to relax in their own secure space or enjoy the larger boarding area. Comfortable bedding, including a traditional dog bed and raised cooling cot, is provided! Someone is almost always home, and we work remotely, allowing for frequent interaction, supervision, and additional attention for pets who need it.
