“Taking on a totally unknown dog from a cross-country road trip, IS a risk. We knew our senior dog Ginger would likely be stressed: 1st from the trip, and 2nd to be left with a stranger, in an unfamiliar environment. Linda really seems to love the dogs, she had 1-2 fosters there when we arrived (not sure, as I think I only saw 1). While I'm sure it was hard on both of them, we do sincerely appreciate her taking on our dog for a few hours, so that we could attend the wedding of an old family friend. About: Hi, my name is Tiersa and my family and I have recently moved from Georgia to come “back home” to the panhandle of West Virginia. I have lots of experience with drop-in visits, walks, and especially boarding (though I’m currently not boarding until our house is finished being built). She is now out family preferred sitter.”

“Jessica was wonderful, I’m not sure my poodle missed me at all. She sent me regular updates, pictures and videos. Sometimes he was happily lap sitting. Sometimes she videoed him playing with toys her dog or interacting with her family. I was gone 10 days. I was happy to see him doing so well. He is a picky eater so I had sent cubed up chicken breast to mix with his food. When she ran out she cooked him another, which was going way above what I expected. I would definitely take my dog to Jessica again.”

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is my lifelong experience and genuine passion for animals of all sizes and personalities. I have cared for many dogs of various breeds & sizes throughout my life and currently have three dogs and two cats at home. Besides cats & dogs, I have also cared for rabbits, guinea pigs, parakeets, hamsters, chickens, goats, and sheep! For the past two years, I have also volunteered at the SPCA in Winchester, gaining hands-on experience with pets of all ages, temperaments, and care needs. I am confident working with playful puppies, senior pets, and everyone in between. I am patient, outgoing, and truly love providing animals with the care and attention they deserve. I am a student at Virginia Tech, so I have availability here and there throughout the day! I am also available most evenings/nights for longer periods of time. Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or a client’s, I prioritize safety, trust, and comfort above all else. At my home, pets enjoy a fully fenced-in backyard for safe outdoor play, a walkable neighborhood for daily walks and fresh air, and a spacious deck that’s perfect for lounging and sunbathing. Inside, animals are treated like family in a clean, pet-friendly space with constant attention and care. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I always respect their routines and space, ensuring their pets feel secure, loved, and well cared for in their own environment.

Rocky is a rescue, and a terrier, and she let him take his own time getting to know her and her 2 dobie's (both great). This last time presented some unusual challenges, and Abby went above and beyond to make sure Rocky felt safe with her and that we could continue our vacation. She has always communicated well, and has been fantastic with all of her care. I would highly recommend her for your pet!! I can't say it enough. She's great.”
“Leaving our dog with Kristen was the best boarding experience she'd ever had! We don't often take a vacation without our dog, but the handful of times we had in the past, she was traumatized when I picked her up. She isn't crate trained and hates the little kennels at the vet and other commercial boarding facilities. Kristen's farm was like a vacation for her while we were on vacation! She loved the big open yards, having the run of the house, and being around the other dogs. Kristen is a warm, caring, responsible animal lover. It was like our old girl went to stay with a favorite aunt for a week! When I picked her up, she was dirty and tired and happy. ? Such a wonderful experience! We will always board with Kristen, as long as she can take us”
