My Great Dane stays in the sunroom in a playpen when she isn’t playing with chipmunks outside! If you prefer your dog to be on leash when outside-no problem! I can accommodate to your dogs’ needs! I have a 9 yr old female Great Dane who is real sweet & fully trained to my commands. She stays in a playpen in the AC, tiled sunroom with your pup. Your pup will have the one-on-one care that he/she needs while you are away. Fresh water will always be present :) My main goal is to keep every dog I care for safe & happy!

Since graduating, I have compiled formal experience working with both domestic animals, wildlife and protection of their habitat. I had the privilege to work abroad in Botswana, Africa at game reserves where we were able to rehabilitate animals, provide game drives, supplemental feeding etc., and interned at Mokolodi Nature Reserve in Botswana, Africa, caring for animals in rehabilitation. I currently work full-time, which unfortunately limits my availability to primarily evenings and weekends at this time. Well-behaved, socialized dogs may be able to join during office work days. I am considering transitioning to full-time animal training, should it be feasible, which may allow for additional availability in the future. Additionally, I am navigating chronic illness after long covid through schedule modification and mindful movement during caretaking. Our geriatric cat Fluffy lives in the home with us (please alert me to dogs that have not been socialized with cats), there is a rescue parrot in the household, and I have a ~55 lb rescue and SDIT who is very friendly and loves having someone to play and run around in the yard with. She was a family member to my geriatric dog with mobility concerns before his passing, and she has experience with older dogs and cats.

She is now 1 year 7 monthss old and is always looking for and delighted to meet the newest visitor that will become her new buddy. I put my time and devoted energy into my family, my work and my animals, which are my passion. Our favorite place to go is Royal Lake in Fairfax but we do daily walks in our neighborhood throughout the day as well as Burke Lake. Burke Lake is a nice place but can get overcrowded so we tend to steer toward Lake Royal, it’s a really a serene place with plenty of wildlife and good smells! I am flexible with scheduling and have no problem with last minute requests. Your dogs will have full access to my home on couches and beds if you choose. They will live as my Casey does… perhaps a bit spoiled. ;-). My aim is to have a dog friend or two over for a safe place where your pup can come and not be caged while you are gone. Casey needs the exercise but more than anything she wants friends! I am not looking to run a dog hotel, just a family environment with a loving atmosphere. Because of my job I cannot leave during the day for long periods of time so your pup will be by my side most of the time during my care. I feel that exercise is key to good behavior so I try to make sure the dogs in my care will come home tired, loved and happy! About: I have raised dogs all my life. A few years back I used to rescue and board temporarily until the dogs were nursed back to health. Once the dogs were adoptable we would set up meet and greets to adopt out. I am experienced with many breeds. I used to have a terrier who was diagnosed with diabetes. We had to do injections twice a day and put her on a feeding schedule. I have experience with several breeds starting small to huge! I am currently a stay at home mom. I took on this booking even though I had a gut feeling not to, but I ignored it and I wish I had not done that. I was asked last minute by Debby to care for her diabetic cat, she told me her cat was great with strangers and would have no issue with taking the insulin shots from me (lie number one). The morning of my first visit, Debby had messaged me informing she had birds in the house and to not pay attention to them.. now let me start off by saying that due to a past traumatic experience with a previous clients birds, I have developed a fear of being near them in close spaces (to which she pokes fun at in her review) and had I known she had them, I would not have accepted this booking. I was hesitant to enter her house but she said they were in a cage so I proceeded with the visit, upon opening her door one of the birds almost FLEW OUTSIDE because they were NOT in a cage(lie number two). I was immediately concerned by this not only due to my fear of birds but due to this being a safety risk considering the birds could’ve flew out the door if I didn’t get to it in time. After this happened, I wanted to turn around and leave but I couldn’t because I needed to give her cat an insulin shots. After I went upstairs, I could not find the cat anywhere and after ten minutes I found her hiding under the bed hissing at me, she was in no way friendly towards strangers. I did my best to get her to come with me, I was at the visit way longer than the scheduled 30 minutes to try to make sure her cat got the shot. After I was finally able to lure her out with a treat, I had to quickly grab her and administer the shot.. she clawed at me and bit me several times (photo proof was sent to rover). I was very taken back by this visit due to unexpected birds and a cat who was the complete opposite of what their owner described. I felt unsafe to continue the booking and feared that due to the cat’s unwillingness to come to me that she might not get her shots injected properly so her health was my number one priority, I immediately called rover support to report everything that had happened and I also informed Debby at the same time. Debby was awful to me, made fun of me and treated me with complete disregard and through all of that, I still remained calm, collective and professional. After she had hinted at threatening me, I cut off all contact with her and immediately reported that to rover as well. At that point it was now rover and Debby’s responsibility for the cats care, I felt even more unsafe after the awful things Debby said to me. I didn’t have to but I even worked with rover to find another sitter and wanted them to make sure they made others aware of the trust situation, I even offered to take the cat it’s vet or local cat sitting agency but that was denied and rover told me they would handle it all. After one week, I found that my rover account had been suspended and I had to call rover and speak with over ten different reps in one week to get my account back.. finally after they realized I had done NO wrong and it was all the pet owner, I got my account back and a lengthy apology from Rover. Upon getting my account back, I noticed Debby had left that review and I was devastated by that. I have worked so hard on this app to give the best care for others animals and that’s been proven by every other review just for hers to completely destroy all the good I’ve been doing by lying. I’m truly upset with Rover for not only allowing that review to be left there, but for allowing Debby to even still have an account after her lies, threats and defamation. I hope that no other rover sitters go through what I did with her. With all of that being said, I refuse to delete my account and start over as I want people to see all the good I’ve done and to be aware of what truly happened with Debby. I hope to continue to provide the best care possible for all my current rover clients and future ones, please do not let one woman’s lies deter you away from someone who truly loved and care for animals with her whole heart. I have a 9 yr old female Great Dane who is real sweet & fully trained to my commands. She stays in a playpen in the AC, tiled sunroom with your pup. I have a vast amount of knowledge across all facets of the animal world including medical, behavioral, and enrichment. Pairing my knowledge with my nurturing instinct, unwavering love for animals, and gentle patience; it provides me with the skills and approach to give your fur-baby the best experience aside from being with you! I am a full time pet caregiver! I have flexibility 7 days a week to accommodate any and all scenarios for you and your fur babies! I am available to watch your pet in my home as well as yours. I do have indoor dens for your pup to stay in when not outside with me. I have all types of toys available per your preference. I have water, food, and treats available! I am also experienced in topical, oral, and injectable administration. I will be able to walk your dog multiple times throughout the day. I also have a quiet area for your cat as well!

About: I have always had a big heart for pets. This includes cats and dogs. I enjoy being around them, feeding them, and cleaning after them. I work full time for a nonprofit, but have flexibility. I’m mostly available on Fridays-Mondays. I currently care for doggies and cats in my own home. My doggy is on a feeding schedule and get regular walks. He enjoys playing tug-a-war with me and enjoys having me the one to fetch his toys. I easily get along with animals and enjoy playing and exercising them.
