“FANTASTIC!!!!! Our boy came home happy, healthy, and exhausted!!! What more could you ask for?! We are new to Houston and needed someone to board our boy Groot for 8 days while we finished a cross country move. Megan and her family took him in as one of their own, and thanks to them, Groot now has a larger social circle here in Texas than we do! We had never been apart from our puppy and needless to say I was very anxious, Megan sent daily updates and photos, which helped me feel great about how Groot was doing. While he was there he got to socialize with a variety of dogs in all sizes and breeds, kids for him to play with, and a large yard to run off that puppy energy! Could not have asked for more!!! I can honestly say that animals feel safe around me which I attribute to them sensing my love for animals. I have a German Shepherd of my own that my family and I rescued. We also have a GSP and our little sweetheart cat Vivie. Animals bring me joy to see them happy and healthy. I am available between the hours of 1 PM midnight Monday and Friday, I am also available all day on weekends. Those hours are adjustable if needed. I prefer taking care of your pets in your home since I have two dogs and a cat at my house. I would not want your pet to feel uncomfortable. About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember and have been dog sitting for friends and family for most of it. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s individual personality (and all their weird little quirks!). I also have quite a bit of hands-on experience beyond my own pets. From 2013–2015, I worked at the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS), where I helped provide formal dog training classes and gained experience with dog behavior and positive training techniques. Over the past five years, I’ve also fostered dogs through New River Animal Rescue — everything from puppies to sweet seniors and dogs with very different personalities and needs. I currently have a 6-year-old rescue mutt of my own, and I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care.
