“Rachel was fantastic and her family loved having Bear spend a few days with him. She sent pictures and updated me daily. Her and her family really care for your pet like it is their own. Will use her again!”

“Brenda is wonderful and attentive to scout. I love leaving him with her and I have a lot of trust and confidence in her to make sure he is ok when I am away. I would recommend her!”

“Summer took great care of Lemmy! We got regular photos, she did a great job with his meds, and she was very patient with us in our first time using Rover. Summer, her family, and her own pets were great to our temperamental little chihuahua. Can’t thank her enough!”

“Madison was great. She kept me informed on how Milo was doing. Milo had an awesome time with her. I will definitely be using her again. She treated Milo like one of her own.”

“Stephanie and her family took amazing care of my dog Mac(aroni)! I brought Mac for one night in February to make sure she would be comfortable for her longer stay in March. When we arrived in March to drop her off for an 11-night stay, Mac was thrilled to see Stephanie and her family! That was very reassuring. We will definitely be booking with Stephanie again in the future. Thank you!”

“Laura was an excellent care provider of our dog, Happy! Happy got sick the day after we left town… He developed pancreatitis…The vet thought from the cicadas he had eaten the days before. Laura checked with us and took him to the ER (vet) because she saw blood in his diarrhea. They kept him for two days for IVs, meds, etc. when he started eating, she was able to take him home and took excellent care of him as though he was her own dog. She cooked chicken, and rice to help him start eating again. Her dog, ‘BOO’ watched over Happy also. She kept us informed with videos and texts every day. When we got back home, Happy was clearly feeling well at Laura‘s home and happy being with BOO. Laura keeps a sharp eye on the dogs. We definitely recommend her!!!”

“Destiney and Benjamin took great care of our two German shepherds. Very quick to answer messages and have a great space for your pets to stay. We received lots of updates and pictures during their stay. Would highly recommend and we will be using them again.”

“Patricia took excellent care of my dog, Tassie! She spoiled her with treats, lots of walks, and lots of love. I got photos and updates daily so I was reassured my fur baby was in good hands.”
“Josie took this booking REALLY last minute (like 6 am day of) after we got delayed flying home. She stopped in before she went to work and made sure everyone had food and was okay. Her flexibility to fit this into her schedule was wonderful and helped us out so much. We love her taking care of our cats and the cats love her even more!”

“She kept us updated on Iris all weekend and was super flexible with a last minute reservation. We could tell from the pictures Iris was getting all the love and attention she wanted while with her!”

“Christina is THE BEST!! Charlie loves her so much and I don’t have to worry when I’m out of town and Charlie is with her. She sends me pics and updates often. It really makes my heart happy that Charlie can stay with someone who’s so thoughtful and caring when we have to be away from her. ❤️”

“This was my first time using Rover and a dog sitter and it could not have gone better. Jane was excellent and sent me daily updates and photos. I had always used the bougie dog boarding places previously and my puppers would always come home stressed. This time, with Jane, it was completely different. They were stress free and relaxed. I would absolutely request dog sitting from Jane again. Thanks so much!!”

For bedtime, guests can sleep comfortably right in my bedroom or use a dedicated spare room depending on their routine.

“Chelsea was great with our dog, Donny! We boarded Donny at Chelsea’s house while we were out of town. Chelsea was quick to respond to texts, very friendly, and professional . She offered to pick up and drop off Donny, which was very helpful. Donny had a great stay and was well cared for and happy. I definitely recommend Chelsea! About: I am trained in CPR for cats & dogs. I have been around animals my whole life, and have grown up with multiple veterinarians in the family. I am the kind of human who pulls off to the side of the road when they see a bag or box to make sure there isn’t an animal(s) inside. I have 2 cats of own! A three year old tortoiseshell named Whiskee Sour and a 2year old mixed breed white kitty named Sweet Purrlot (like Merlot). And no, I do not drink LOL. I had roommates with both cats & dogs when I lived in my college town and I pet sit for them frequently. I am happy to service families with any type of fur-baby. They are all loved by me! I just finished my 5th semester at WVU and have the entire summer off (until the beginning of September)! I only have 2 trips planned (one at the end of May and another at the end of July) thus far this summer. I am very flexible with my time. I am great at following any instructions and warnings you give me when going into your home- I prefer crystal clear instructions on what to do and how to handle your babies. I want to give them the best care possible!
“Brittany did an amazing job taking care of all of my cats and was great about communicating with me. I could tell that the cats were really happy uncomfortable with her, which was amazing. I would definitely book with her again.”

About: I provide attentive, personalized care for cats of all personalities—from the social butterflies who want constant attention to the shy ones who prefer to observe from a safe distance. My professional animal-care experience has given me extensive knowledge of animal body language and behavior, allowing me to recognize when a cat is comfortable, stressed, overstimulated, or simply asking for some space. I believe cats deserve care on their terms, and I always take the time to build trust rather than forcing interaction. I’m also experienced with administering medications, including specialized medications and injections, making me comfortable caring for cats with additional medical needs. I’m attentive to changes in behavior, appetite, litter box habits, and overall demeanor so I can keep you informed about how your cat is doing. Whether your cat needs feeding, playtime, enrichment, medication, litter care, or simply some quiet companionship while you’re away, I’ll treat them with patience, respect, and plenty of love. 🐱❤️
“She spent 5 days with my 2 kitties. My super shy guy usually hides for DAYS under the couch when I'm gone, but he came out 2 hours into Natalie's first day caring for them. She's got great kitty vibes! She sent me notes daily on how they were doing and photos as well. And the house was left just as I'd left it, even taking out the trash for me. I definitely recommend Natalie as a caretaker.”

About: I used to be a kennel technician who walked dogs, practiced training, while offering playtime for them and cleaning up their space. I’ve always loved caring for animals and wildlife and want to branch out on my own. I’m also a college student currently! I have a very flexible schedule right now, all that’s needed is to message me and see how our availabilities line up! I integrate your pets life into mine. I have a variety of treats and food on hand, but will follow whatever diet your dog needs. I also have the time for high energy dogs or dogs that need training through e-collars or etc. I also own lots of toys and a large crate, or litter box if need be. If you have any more specific questions please ask!
About: I have experience with both cats and dogs as I have both. I had a wonderful dog named Tessa. I miss her so much. She was a rescue and an amazing dog. Albany is a manx cat and was adopted at the age of 3. She is 6 now. She loved to play and can be ornery! I love fur babies and would love to help take care of your fur babies. I hope with providing this service I can give you piece of mind that your cat or dog is being taken care of. With adopting a rescue, I also had to work with some behavioral issues my dog had and feel that gave me a better understanding of her needs. In February 2024, I welcomed a miniature poodle in my home named Benny. I hope to speak with you soon! I do my best to keep my schedule updated. I do work two jobs, one being at home. I can best help in the evening and weekend. I ensure to spend quality time with your pet when providing a drop in service. I ensure to follow all instructions on feeding and water.

“We used Haley’s daycare service for the first time and let me tell you she is a sweetheart. She and her dog are very friendly. She sent me pics throughout the day which made me felt comfortable. When I picked up Cookie, Haley provided a sweet summary of how much fun they had. Highly recommended!”

About: 🏡 NEW: Personalized Boarding Available! (See Details At The End!!) We got into pet care together because helping animals has always been a shared passion; it’s something that brought us closer and now it’s something we get to do side by side while helping our community 🥹 We currently foster for the Kanawha Charleston Shelter and another local rescue, help with TNR in our area, rehome strays, and love to spoil our own little crew of rescues! Over the years, we’ve cared for dogs, cats, pigs, chickens, reptiles, rabbits, rats, and even birds! We’re especially comfortable with pets who need a little extra patience, like shy rescues, semi-ferals, and senior animals! 🐕🦺 We have hands-on experience with: • Medications (oral, topical, injectable like insulin) • Anxious or reactive behavior • Special diets and tricky routines • Post-op and long-term medical needs • Livestock Friends! We're also active in the rescue world currently supporting fundraising, marketing, and networking for Krazie Ladies Animal Rescue, and jumping in when people in our community need help with lost pets or urgent rehoming! This isn’t just a side gig for us... it’s something we truly love doing together! If you’d like to see more of the happy pets we’ve cared for (and a peek at us in action), check out our Facebook page: Almost Heaven Critter Care WV 🐾 We’d be happy to help you and your pets have a stress-free, love-filled, judgement-free experience while you’re away! 🏡 NEW: Personalized Boarding Available! We've recently renovated our attached brick garage into a dedicated boarding space designed to provide a safe, comfortable, low-stress environment for your pets. Unlike many boarding facilities, we only board one family's pets at a time. Whether you have one dog, multiple dogs, dogs and cats together or just cats, your family will be our only boarding guests during their stay! This allows us to provide more individualized care while reducing stress and eliminating interactions with unfamiliar animals. Each guest has access to a spacious 8' x 6' x 4' kennel, but they're not required to stay inside it. The kennel can remain open, giving them the option to relax in their own secure space or enjoy the larger boarding area. Comfortable bedding, including a traditional dog bed and raised cooling cot, is provided! Someone is almost always home, and we work remotely, allowing for frequent interaction, supervision, and additional attention for pets who need it. Security cameras are also in place throughout the boarding area and outside our home for added safety and peace of mind! We provide treats, enrichment, and natural chews (with owner approval) and do our best to follow your pet's normal routine. Whether they have a specific feeding schedule, medication schedule, bedtime routine, or exercise preferences, we'll work to keep things as familiar as possible! Dogs have access to a fenced outdoor exercise area and can enjoy leashed walks around our property, including our creek area. Our typical boarding routine runs from approximately 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, though we're happy to accommodate reasonable adjustments whenever possible! We do have our own dogs and cats at home. All of our pets are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and well cared for. For everyone's safety, boarding guests will not interact with our personal pets, though they may occasionally hear our dogs barking from elsewhere on the property. 🐱 Cat Boarding Available! Cats are welcome too! Whether your cat is social, shy, senior, or requires medication, we'll provide a quiet, secure environment tailored to their needs while maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible! If we don't have fosters at the time, your kitties are welcome to stay in the home as well! Either in their own room, or if they're friendly with other animals, they're welcome to explore the whole house! We both work from home, so our days naturally revolve around the animals we care for; ours and yours! That means we’re super flexible with visits throughout the day, whether it’s a quick morning potty break, midday meds, or evening playtime. Caring for animals is already part of our daily life. We foster and volunteer locally, so working around feeding schedules, quirky behaviors, and special routines is second nature. You can count on us to show up on time and treat your pets like they’re part of the family! Weekend availability included... just reach out and let’s chat about what you need! 📅 We kindly ask for 3 days' notice for all bookings and cancellations so we can plan our calendar and make sure we’re giving every pet the time and care they deserve 💛 When we’re in your home, we treat it with the same care and respect we’d want for our own! We always follow your instructions to the T; whether that’s feed times, locked doors or quirky pet routine... We will always keep your space clean, calm, and secure before we leave! We’re happy to work with homes that use security systems or indoor cameras, and we’ll always communicate clearly about access (keys, codes, etc.) so everyone feels comfortable! After each visit, you’ll get a photo or two and a quick update so you’re never left wondering how things went!! If your pets have any medical needs, special diets, triggers, or unique behaviors, we’ll ask about those ahead of time so we can handle everything confidently! We’ve worked with nervous pets, escape artists, and even semi-ferals... so nothing surprises us! We know how much trust it takes to let someone into your home and into your pet’s routine, and we don’t take that lightly! ❤️
“I will definitely be calling Patricia again! As a first time Rover user, she was really great. She ended up being within walking distance from our home. Love the pictures she sent to let me know how our Queenie was doing. She took her on walks and was very understanding of Queenie's preferences.”

“Christina was wonderful with Asher. He is so nervous around new people and he was snuggling with her in no time. She’ took wonderful care of him and updated with pictures. Could not be more thankful.”

“Olivia is very nice and took good care of Milo. Milo was very happy when I picked him up. Milo got accident inside the house, and Olivia said it was very understandable as the house is a new environment for Milo and he might be a little nervous.”

About: As a lifelong dog owner, caring for pups is second nature to me. I know exactly how important peace of mind is when leaving your pet, which is why I prioritize clear communication, frequent updates, and plenty of personalized attention. From daily walks and interactive playtime to cozy cuddle sessions, I tailor my care to match your dog's specific personality and energy level. I look forward to treating your beloved pet like a member of my own family. I currently stay at Home so I am available any time of the day. This allows me to easily accommodate custom feeding, walking, and medication schedules. I have a small yard and a friendly dog to keep your fur baby company. My yard is not fenced, so I always take guests on guided walks and trips to the local park for secure, energetic exercise. My pet is a miniature poodle who loves to play and cuddle. For bedtime, guests can sleep comfortably right in my bedroom or use a dedicated spare room depending on their routine.
“Bianca is my go to to watch my pup. Bianca and her family spoil my dog and give her love all the time. They have been a blessing as a resource. She will provide excellent care to your dog or cat!!”

We will use her services again in the future.”

“I was thoroughly impressed with her care for Zeus. I would highly recommend her to other pet owners. I was gone for a about a week and I knew he was in good hands with her. She also answered quickly and was very accommodating. Thank you from me and Zeus Olivia!”

“This was my first time using Rover and I wouldn't hesitate to use this service again. I was a bit nervous leaving my dog with a stranger through an app I've never used before but Hailey was an exceptional sitter! She was very responsive to all my questions and regularly sent me pictures of how Ollie was doing. I would 100% recommend Hailey for anyone interested in using this service. She exceeded my expectations and I will use her again in the future!”

About: I’ve grown up around dogs and cats my entire life, so caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I have hands-on experience with daily feeding, walks, playtime, and lots of love and attention. I’ve also regularly cared for friends’ and family members’ pets while they’re out of town, making sure their pets feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for in their own routine. I treat every pet as if they were my own and always prioritize their happiness and well-being. As a teacher, my schedule allows me to be home in the evenings and on weekends, giving me plenty of time to provide attentive and consistent pet care. I’m able to stick closely to feeding schedules, playtime, walks, and any special routines your pet needs. Because my time outside of school is flexible and dependable, I can give your pet the care, attention, and companionship they deserve. I provide loving, hands-on care tailored to each pet’s needs. At home, I have two cats and a dog, so I’m very familiar with balancing playtime, exercise, and daily routines. I make sure my pets get plenty of attention and enrichment through play, and I walk my dog multiple times a day to keep him happy and healthy. I bring the same level of care, patience, and dedication to every pet I look after, treating them as if they were my own.
