Our sweet and playful pup, Abbi, gets anxious in new environments, while our 13-year-old, Hank, is mostly sweet and playful but can also be a bit reactive when startled, especially by fast movements or unfamiliar people. Brian was incredible with both of them. Hank warmed up to him almost immediately (something that rarely happens) and seeing him snuggling his head into Brian's hand during one of the daily video updates was a highlight for us. Brian’s calm, confident presence clearly helped both of our dogs feel safe and happy. They had plenty of space to explore, lots of outdoor playtime, and were cared for with patience and attentiveness. In addition to putting our dogs at ease, he also managed to put my husband-who tends to be quite anxious about leaving them-at ease, as well. “Linda did an amazing job watching our little pup Bentley. We were gone for 5 days and she accommodated us with even picking him up a bit early. Bentley has only been with us for 4 months so we weren't sure how it would go. It went amazing. So much so he even looked a little sad to be leaving Linda. She gave updates even when I wasn't able to ask or get right back with her. Bentley has a bit of a finicky stomach and has zero problems since we brought him home. Linda is very kind and attentive not only to the needs of Bentley but ours too. We definitely will be back when we plan our family trip next year. I can't tell her thank you enough. About: I have experience not only pet sitting in someone’s home, but also outside of their home. I currently work as a dog bather, so I have experience with animals and handling there too! I am currently working part time, only about 20 hours a week, so I have plenty of time to give that special dog in your life a walk for you when you’re unable! About: Hi, I'm Suzie and I'll turn 62 this month... That is almost how long that I've been a pet owner from dogs, cats, horses, ponies, chickens cows, peacocks.. I'm also a Registered Nurse who worked critical care for 11 years and have been an RN for 35 years. I'm very comfortable with injections, and giving meds, assessing the animal and knowing when to call a vet. I have a Newfoundland here and a newfie/great dane cross, 3 house cats, and then the rest of the animals outside. The dog yard has a pet door that leads into a small area in my kitchen that is currently fenced off so no one gets free run of the house unless supervised. They can come and go back and forth as much as they want to. My back yard is lined with 4 board fencing that also has American wire in the inside to keep little ones in. I'm currently working flex at the hospital so I'm actually home almost all the time. I have a roommate that helps with the farm and the dogs when I'm not here. I'm a home body so I'm home here almost all the time. I have a 4 board fenced in yard that is also lined on the inside with American wire for my yard and have chains on the gates leading into and out of the yard. My fence is 5 ft high. There is a pet door leading into the kitchen which has a small fenced in area inside the kitchen so that the dogs can be contained just in case they are wet. I allow them into the house once they are dry.

About: I've lived with pets all my life and while I’ve only had one human roommate in the last 30 years, I've always had a least one cat up until 2018. I LOVE cats (esp kittens), and am quite comfortable around dogs as well (I love them too, just not in all capitals, LOL). When I first started pet sitting, I thought I preferred cats to dogs, but the past few years have enabled me to expand in my love of, and comfort with dogs (but please don't tell the cats that)! I also used to 'lease' a horse in my youth and have experience with birds, hamsters, fish, and guinea pigs. I DON'T like snakes or insects (sorry!) In the last 12 years I’ve volunteered with several rescues as a cat/kitten foster and I'm known to be particularly good with feral kittens and cats. I'm really good with walking (dogs mostly), dispensing medications, and loving attention, but I'm not a pushover when it comes to treats from the table (that's a no-no) staying on leash when required, and letting them know I mean business when necessary. I don't believe in EVER striking or punishing animals and seem to fall in love with them all. I’ve been a house and pet sitter on the site “Trusted Housesitters” since 2018 and have over 21 positive reviews there. I’m recently retired (yet surprisingly busy). I don’t do a lot of night driving, but am otherwise generally available. I’m a stickler about being on time, and keeping dates I commit to. My preference is for cats to remain indoors at all times at my house, and dogs always on a lead when outside. I have a variety of crate sizes here, and am totally comfortable with your fur kids riding in my car, lounging on my furniture, and/or sleeping in my bed. I have all wood floors, plenty of cat litter pans and bowls for food and water. My yard is not fenced but I have easy access to neighborhood parks.
About: I've taken care off two dogs before inside my home and other persons home. I still do inside my home sometimes for a friend's when they go on vacation I can do any days depending on my work schedule that I have. I need 2 week in advance just for that reason so I know what times and day that I need available I take care of feeding dogs and cats, cleaning litter box, and walking the dogs and playing with them and Bonding with them. About: I have experience not only pet sitting in someone’s home, but also outside of their home. I currently work as a dog bather, so I have experience with animals and handling there too! I am currently working part time, only about 20 hours a week, so I have plenty of time to give that special dog in your life a walk for you when you’re unable! Our yard is partially fenced in (half of it is fenced) and we have another dog in our house. Your dog will primarily stay with me, alone where I can watch them! And if they need to go out, I am able to take breaks when I need to to take them out.
About: Hi! I have 5 years of animal care experience, two years in the shelter setting and on my 3rd year in a veterinary care. I also volunteer with a canine rescue. I am currently working full time but am available before / after my work shifts and available for overnight care in your home or mine. Due to my full time work schedule I am best equipped to do over night care. I have a home with plenty of space inside and outside. I am available to stop by in the mornings / evening to feed and walk or let out and administer medications as needed. If your pet is on a set schedule for a specific medication please let me know ahead of time and I will be happy to check my work schedule to ensure if I would be a good fit! In my home I have a 50+ lbs spayed female pit bull and a 5lb female chihuahua. In a clients home I would like to be provided with any information regarding food aggression, possessiveness, schedule the dogs follow and any special accommodations needed to best suit the pet(s). I am very flexible and have worked with all kinds of dogs with different temperaments and needs. I do work full time so a typical day for me is waking up early, I take my dogs out, feed them, meditate if needed, one more potty break before leaving. They do go out mid day by a dog walker that comes in. And then after work they go outside, eat dinner, outside again and then hangout and play until bedtime where we do night treat and one more bathroom break. I have pets at home that are super dog friendly. They absolutely love any company. I volunteer with a rescue so they are very used to other dogs coming in and out. I have the ability to separate dogs if needed, crate dogs if needed (one of my girls get crated and one does not)

“We are so grateful to have found Brian to care for our two very special dogs, both of whom come with their own quirks and sensitivities. Our sweet and playful pup, Abbi, gets anxious in new environments, while our 13-year-old, Hank, is mostly sweet and playful but can also be a bit reactive when startled, especially by fast movements or unfamiliar people. Brian was incredible with both of them. Hank warmed up to him almost immediately (something that rarely happens) and seeing him snuggling his head into Brian's hand during one of the daily video updates was a highlight for us. Brian’s calm, confident presence clearly helped both of our dogs feel safe and happy. They had plenty of space to explore, lots of outdoor playtime, and were cared for with patience and attentiveness. About: I have loved and cared for 10 of my own fur friends(6 dogs, 4 cats) and been so lucky to love and care for many many more. From farm to house to tank to pen I have cared for pretty much everything except insects and arachnids. I've spent nights with road side rescues that became beloved family members, I've taken my bottle feeding resuce squirrel camping in a shoe box in my sleeping bag, I've fed horses and chickens in a blizzard. I've gently loved the old ones that are hanging on just a little bit longer and I've welcomed the brand new ones to this great big world. I am currently working part-time and have the flexibility to work around your schedule. Overnights and holidays are available with at home and boarding options. Lots of walks! I do have one friendly dog and a cat in my home with the ability to keep everyone separate if needed. Crating is also an option. Lots of love and attention. Your home or mine.

About: I have had a animal all of my life and find myself drawn to them at any given moment. They bring me so much joy, because they have no cares of the troubles of the world today. Oral medication given, daily exercising. I am an animal lover, I have had some sort of animal all my life ie; fish, birds, dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs. My kids are all adults now and thought it would be a good idea to care for your fur baby as a temporary companion. I will stick to whatever rules an guidelines you may have for your pet. I can care for your pet weekends and weeknights. I work well with my clients request and routines. I live in a single family home on a corner lot with mountain views. I can't wait to provide comfort, trust and safety for your pet while you are away. I am open to last minute request, I know emergencies happen; and have flexible drop off and pick ups.
