We are new to Houston and needed someone to board our boy Groot for 8 days while we finished a cross country move. Megan and her family took him in as one of their own, and thanks to them, Groot now has a larger social circle here in Texas than we do! We had never been apart from our puppy and needless to say I was very anxious, Megan sent daily updates and photos, which helped me feel great about how Groot was doing. While he was there he got to socialize with a variety of dogs in all sizes and breeds, kids for him to play with, and a large yard to run off that puppy energy! Could not have asked for more!!! Big BIG thank you!!!”

She gave Buddy quality time and sent photos which made it easy not to worry about him. She was also extra helpful working with our schedule. We'd love to have her care for him again if she can tolerate our Big Baby. : )”

If there is an appointment or anything that has to be done I will let you know ahead of time. I live in a rural area. Surrounded by the woods and not near a road. About: I have a Yorkie of my own who I have had since I was 16. Over the years, I have often been asked by friends/family to visit their home every so often to let their pets out/feed them while they are unable to do so. I know how hard it is to find care for furbabies so I am eager to help anyone I can! I love adventuring (just look at the picture of my lil man on Long Point Trail lol!) so if your babies like walks, walk we shall :) I am a nurse in Beckley. I work 3 12 hour shifts a week. On the days I am not working, I am able to feed, water, walk, hang out with your pets! Just let me know how long you would like me to spend time with them and we will work something out! :) I can sit with your dog for 30 minutes to an hour at your home (if just a check in… can be there longer, if needed), walk them, feed them, etc. Whatever you need/do for your pet, I will do!
About: I’ve had dogs in my life for as long as I can remember and have been dog sitting for friends and family for most of it. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s individual personality (and all their weird little quirks!). I also have quite a bit of hands-on experience beyond my own pets. From 2013–2015, I worked at the Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS), where I helped provide formal dog training classes and gained experience with dog behavior and positive training techniques. Over the past five years, I’ve also fostered dogs through New River Animal Rescue — everything from puppies to sweet seniors and dogs with very different personalities and needs. I currently have a 6-year-old rescue mutt of my own, and I know how much trust it takes to leave your dog in someone else’s care. I’m comfortable with puppies, seniors, reinforcing training and routines, or giving a more timid pup some extra patience. Mostly, I just want every dog I care for to feel safe, loved, and at home while their person is away. ❤️ I work from home, so pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine and I have plenty of time for walks, playtime, potty breaks and company throughout the day. I work from home, which means dogs in my care get plenty of supervision, attention and outdoor breaks throughout the day. I’m also happy to follow whatever routines, feeding schedules, crate routines or house rules your dog is used to. When caring for pets in their own home, I try to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible so they feel comfortable and secure while you’re away.
